Do the counter service restaurants have real breakfast menues? By that I mean more than muffins and toast. Any recommendations? Thanks. :cutie:

If you're looking for eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, that kind of breakfast I think your best bet will be at resort counter service. I've never been disappointed in the breakfasts at any of the resorts I've tried. All I can ever find in the parks are baked goods but I haven't done that much looking because we usually eat stuff we bring before we head to the parks (or on the way to the parks.) I think the Main Street Bakery has breakfast sandwiches. Have fun on your trip!

The CS breakkie in the same building as Soarin' is AWESOME. I want to say Nestle? sponsors it, and forget about asking me the name of it. and there was one other CS that had a nice platter for cheap, I remember the decor well, but don't remember whether it was MK or Epcot. Gimme some time to go back and look at the names of the restaurants and It might jog my memory.

Okies: Sunshine Season is the one by Soarin' i cannot for the life of me find the other CS place, as the brekkie menus aren't typically listed. it was very jungley-themed decor, bright primary colors, cartoony like. it was NOT character and it was definitely CS. one of us got sausage gravy and biscuits and the other got a scrambled egg platter with bacon and a biscuit.

Could you be thinking of Tusker House at AK? If so, unfortunately it is closed. This would've been perfect for dh and I last trip and we were so disappointed to find it closed. I believe it is set to reopen as a character meal???

the Menu looked right, but TH was closed while we there in in September, and that was our first day in the parks, and I know we didn't eat breakfast there due to the major fiasco we had with the bus driver not showing at SoG to get us there for EMH.

It might not have been jungle themed, but it was definitely bright and colorful and cartoonish, with all the tables and chairs each being pained different colors. I do remember it was kind of hidden,I guess you would say, we had to hunt for it, but we were starving... and it was really good, if crowded. made some grandmother's day by helping her move a bunch of tables so her party of 12 could sit together..she was tasked with finding a spot while they were all in line.

It's possible they served bf at pizzafarri since Tuskerhouse was closed. It's bright and jungle themed.

I hear the ham, cheese and egg croissant sandwiches at Main Street Bakery in MK are super good.

To me, all CS breakfast are the same...in a park or at a value/mod place.

DH INSISTS it was at AK( I was convinced it was MK, but hey, what do I know :confused3 ) so if Pizzafari was doing CS brekkie, than that's probably where it was...
