We usually eat onsite but are going to try a few meals offsite this trip. Can you recommend places where we can feed the teens for around $10? I've read Giordano's is good. Any other thoughts? TIA

This might start a debate about pizza quality - but the best bang for your buck is CiCi's pizza in LBV - don't miss the Buffalo Chicken Pizza - all you can eat salad, pizza and dessert for about $5.

Also Orlando Ale House and the TGIFridays in the Crossroads are reasonable.

:thumbsup2

Hi, Beef O'Brady's on 192 west of Disney about 2 miles. It is in a small strip mall just before Vista Del Lago Manufactured Home Park entrance...great meals under 10 bucks and a nice British Flare...lots of TVs and a great beer selection...

Enjoy

Chevy's is our favorite. We always eat there on the night of our arrival. Great restaurant if you like Mexican food and right across the street from the main gate.

Ale House! Kinda by MK, like a bar and grill type. GREAT food and good prices! It's off of 535 LBV by the 7-11 gas station

My teens were fine with Cici's. We also like Perkins, Olive Garden, Chilis, Bahama Breeze, Hooters, all in the Crossroads/Palm Parkway area close to DTD.

Beware that the Giordano's on 192 had a 2+ hour wait time on an offseason Friday night last October. The pizza is the best we have ever eaten though.

Bob Evans, Cracker barrel, Fridays, Olive Garden, you name it, it is closeby.

I vote for Steak 'n Shake on Apopka-Vineland, just north a few blocks from Hotel Plaza Blvd. We had a nice meal there last time we were in Orlando. For those who don't have them nearby, it's not a steak house - it's a burger joint with table service. Good food, good prices.

I recall an IHOP near the entrance to Disney property on 528.

The I-192 Disney entrance has plenty of restaurant frachises to choose.

I just discovered a fabulous new restaurant here in my home town, and then I discovered they have about 8 of them in the Orlando area, I haven't really had the chance to look the locations up on the map, but there is bound to be one of them that is close to Disney. It's called Miller' Ale House, a casual type restaurant with lots of choices for everyone and their prices can't be beat!! We got unbelieveable amounts of food, I ordered the fried shrimp, and I think I ended up bringing 15 of them home, and I got over full and shared!! My dh order their Zingers which are buffalo chicken tenders and his order had about 9 tenders, he also ordered onion rings and they came in a huge basket definitely enough for at least 10 people to enjoy, we were pleasantly surprised at the taste, amount, quality and price of the food and thrilled to learn that there were some in Orlando. You can check the locations and menus at millersalehouse.com I don't know if their prices are the same at all locations but they had a 20oz porterhouse steak for $14.99 with 2 sides and a salad, their lunch specials yesterday were taco salad and country fried steak both for only $4.99. I hope this helps you.

We have tried many of the chain restaurants with very mixed experiences. Macaroni Grill on US 192 is awful but the one at The Loop is excellent. Maybe because it caters for locals.

Also, Red Lobster by Old Town is poor but the one towards Kissimmee is better. Outback Steakhouse is a favourite but we prefer the one near Kissimmee rather than the one at Formosa Gardens.

Olive Garden... the one on 192 by 535 is up and down but a new one is going to open at The Loop so we'll give that a go on our next trip.

To get to The Loop, follow the signs for the Osceola Parkway as you leave WDW property. Take the Osceola Parkway all the way to the end, The Loop will be on your right hand side. It is not an enclosed shopping center, it is actually more like a big box type set up. We did see the Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill there but didn't try them.

We just got back on Sunday, and try Carraba's and loved it! We ate at the one on Vineland Ave. once and the one on 192 West twice, and preferred the service at the one on 192 West, however the food was very good at both. If you like Italian, I'd highly recommend it. Also, every day is happy hour from 4-7 pm.

Ill vote for Steak and Shake too. I wrote to them to tell them how much I enjoyed going there during our vacation in WDW and they sent me coupons for my next visit!

Every trip we take to Disney World, we ALWAYS go Giordanno's. AWESOME thin crust pizza, geat pasta dishes, and a Chicago themed atmosphere (the original Giordanno's is in Chicago...). You will not be disappointed - I guarantee!

Caution - if you get the stuffed pizza, expect to wait at least 45 minutes to be served. Personally, I would rather have the thin crust anyway.

Lunch time is never real busy, and if you get there before 5:45pm, you shouldn't have to wait at all.

Enjoy!
