Well, since I live in Daytona Beach Shores I'm biased (!!!LOL), but I think a day trip with the kids to show them the beach would make great memories....
The sea temp today was 83 degrees, so I imagine still decent in November (by the way, we were treated to a beautiful view of the space shuttle launch this afternoon!), November is a quiet time of year to visit, and the beach is beautiful (10.5 miles + from Daytona to the Shores, up to 500 foot wide at low tide) PLUS only a one hour drive from Orlando (depending on traffic, of course). South of the Shores in Ponce Inlet (the south end of A1A) there's a wonderful lighthouse to explore, or just enjoy the beach - there's both "turtle conservation" zones (no driving), and beach driving sections (slow going though - only 10mph!) Bring a kite, since there's always a great breeze off the ocean for kite flying! Also don't forget "Daytona USA" at Daytona International Speedway, it's a kid's dream! Any questions, just email me!
