Gone Fishing?

Has anybody ever gone fishing while at WDW? I've read on several sites that fishing is available, but at which resorts and how much does it cost? This is one thing I know my DH woudl enjoy! Thanks for your help!!

DH & I went on a fishing excursion on our honeymoon in 2000. I don't usually go fishing, but we had a great time! We left from the Boardwalk at a 7am excursion for 2 hrs. Leaving at that time from the Boardwalk, we got to go fish in the middle of world showcase lagoon in epcot center, which was great by itself even. It was colder weather so we didn't actually catch any fish, and the guide gave us a discount because of that, but it would have been worth the whole price of $160. Not sure if its gone up since 2000 though. Call 1-407-wdw-play and they can give you some more info.

The price has gone up significantly...we're paying $225 to fish out of SSR for 2 hours. There is a later trip, going out at 1:30pm, which I think is $200. Look it up on disneyworld.com, it will list the resorts there. I figure any resort on a lake, with a dock and boat transportation, will offer it. I remember quite a few resorts listed.

Thanks the help. I found the info. on disneyworld.com. It is $225.00 if you go at 7:00am or 10:00am and $200.00 if you go at 1:30.

There is cane pole fishing at Riverside. Just thought I would let you know. Didn't know if you meant that kind of fishing or what... But when I fished there it was lot's of fun! Just watch out! Fish aren't the only things you can catch, there are birds in the water too!
