Okay, I remember from last year some discussions about those going to the Nat'l Car Rental Classic. We'll, DH and I, be there this year for the tournament (I planned it that way!) and have a few first time questions.

What is the best way to get to the courses? We know they will be playing at the Palm and Magnolia. Do you ride WDW busses from the resort? (We'll be at the BCV.) Is there somewhere to park?

Where can we get an additional pass? DH already has one and I would like to go some of the days.

Is there a Pro-Am event? If so, when?

Are folks allowed to bring folding camp-type stools to sit on?

Thanks for any suggestions on these questions as well as any other information you have to share.

:p :p :p :p :p :p :p ;)

I don't have many answers for you, but I can give you a link to the tournament's web site.

PGA Tour

I'm 99% sure they have a Pro-Am early in the week. I seem to recall that DVC members and AP holders either got a break on tickets or a free ticket for at least some of the days. Quite a few years ago, I know an AP got you in. I also don't see why you wouldn't be able to bring the camp stools. They have them at most tournaments.

We were at the tournament last year and had a great time. My DD is a big Tiger fan and came pretty close to getting his autograph! We're going to try again this year.
There was a special parking area at the TTC with shuttle busses taking you to the tournament. Do not try to drive to the course, you will be turned away at the entrance to SOG.
We purchased tickets at the entrance, DVC members were half price and kids were free. We could not bring anything with us, no cameras, cell phones, etc. Had to leave everything in the car. I don't remember seeing anyone with stools, everyone just sat on the ground or stood.
Crowds were low and we got to see all the pros up close, my DD still talks about being so close to Tiger she could have reached out and touched him!!

Thanks for the good info and the suggestions. I was most concerned about the parking and how to get there. The shuttle sounds good.
I like Tiger also and hope to see him "up close and personal"!!

Any other info floating around in cyber land?

Thank you for this thread!

I'm going to be at OKW from Oct 13-19 and didn't even realize the pros would be in town...something fun to look forward to! Now I just have to convince my DW to let me out for the day ;)
