     DH is very excited that friends will be traveling with us this time so now he can golf with someone. MY question is or really DH is what are your favorite courses. They will be golfing approx 2 to 3 times while we are there in Oct.
Any info would be great.

I have played at Eagle Pines, Lake Buena Vista, Osprey Ridge and Magnolia courses.

They are all great, but I would give the edge to Eagle Pines. It was in perfect shape when I last played in Sept, and pretty tough. I love that the Buena Vista Course feels like it starts in Downtown Disney and meanders through the DVC Old Key West? property. I also seem to remember some Polynesian Resort views from the Magnolia course, but I played that a bunch of years ago. It was also in great shape and was a nice layout. All in all, the courses are very nice, but surprisingly not as "pristine" as some of the very hard to get on private clubs here in CT. Obviously the Disney courses get a LOT more play. It is also a great experience golfing in WDW. Every CM is fantastic, from the cart guys to the 19th hole bartenders! :) I also seem to remember that it was pretty expensive, but they have a bunch of discounts in the later parts of the day ,I think.

Hope your DH has a blast!

Also check out www.wdwgolf.com for some good info to get him really prepped for the trip.

Osprey Ridge is rated by many as the best course. It is going through a major rehab right now and will re-open on September 15th so it should be in great shape when you visit.

Remember that the Palm and Magnolia will be closed for part of October due to the Funai Golf Tournament (PGA). Will you be there during that time (Oct 19-22)? If so, it might be nice for your DH and his friends to enjoy a day or two watching the pros.

Regarding your question: I have golfed at all 99 holes! Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge are my favorites - with Lake Buena Vista a close second! I would avoid Palm and Magnolia during October and choose EP, OR or LBV. Any of these will offer a great experience!

My favorits course? Oak Trail. It's the only course you can walk, it's cheap, it's stress-free and mellow.

Now, to be fair, 99.9% of golfers will probably put Oak Trail last on their list. I just wanted to stick up for it.

PS - If you haven't found it yet, http://www.wdwgolf.com/ is a great site for info on golfing at WDW.

DMIL doesn't like a lot of water when she plays golf, and she complained there was too much water at LBV. DH, who's played every course (some he's played several times) loves LBV. He says it feels "comfortable". The fact that the rates are (relatively)low there doesn't hurt! Watch out at Palm if you don't like alligators. Every time DH plays there he sees an alligator. Osprey Ridge is beautiful and pretty challenging, but often hard to get tee times.

I have golfed at all 99 Holes at WDW. And OrlandoMike is correct, it probably the most enjoyable. But I enjoy all of them including Oak Trail. The 9 hole course is a great way to get in a quick round of golf before joining the family at the parks.

Waiting for some Disney golf this fall!!!

I played LBV twice and Osprey Ridge once in May. I've got to point out that I wasn't playing well at all as I was very rusty, but LBV was by far my favourite of the two.

LBV can be tight in places, but i'm an accurate driver. What I really liked about it is that the trouble is there for you to see, it doesn't try to deceive you.

Osprey Ridge was a beautiful course, but I was playing badly that day, and it really kicked my butt. It is a tough course, no doubt about it. If i'd been playing well that day then i'm sure i'd feel a lot more enthusiasm for the course.

I'm going back at the start of October for a week and am playing LBV, Eagle Pines and Magnolia this time, so it'll be interesting to compare them. At least this time it will be the end of the season, and my golf is back to a decent standard now i've done plenty of practice and playing, so hopefully I'll be able to do the courses some justice.
