Golden Link Motel...

Hey all you Disney and Florida goers!

I have a question ... as we cruise around FLA on our vacation we pass countless hotels of all shapes, sizes, and designs but for some reason we always pass the Golden Link and I wonder...

Has anyone on these boards ever stayed there? What's it like? Price, rooms, service? ANY information would be appreciated!

Never stayed there - actually never noticed either so I did a search and on Tripadvisor it received 4 out 5 - but there waer only 12 reviewers - but it seems the people who liked it found it to be a clean budget motel - no frills or thrills - The only photos I saw were the Motels own photos (3) and the rooms IMHO looked old and dated.

We used to stay there regularly and always found it homey, clean and the mom & pop management great. However that WAS over 20 years ago! No idea if the owners have changed or if it has been kept up to those old time standards.

Stayed there Dec 27-29, 2007 and it was good. The motel was renovated after the hurrican. New beds, furniture, but older TVs. They do not have safes in the rooms and that is a problem for us. They have muffins, coffee and juice in the morning.

The motel is still family owned and the owners are on site. In fact the owner is helping clean rooms. The pool was really warm and super clean.

We would definately stay there again except for the safe issue. Their rates are $39.99-$59.99 which isn't bad for what you get. Clean, safe room, fridge, micro, high speed internet. I wouldn't include the breakfast it isn't sufficient.
