I have never gone with a definate touring plan because I've always gone off peak. DD6 and I leave on Sunday and now I'm starting to panic, its her first time.

I've read, re read and read again the unoffical guide book and of course I'm on DIS every day! I know what rides for sure to do and what are no ways (Stitch!) but there are several I am hestitant (Space Mountain) until I see how she does on say Barnstormer. We've read the descriptions for many, I bought her the WDW for Kids by Kids book. And she is all into it, but she is 6 and subject to change. She has not really had the opportunity for big rides. We've done fairs but thats about it.

We are going in Sept so I'm thinking lines will be minimal. So if I go with a general plan is this good? I don't want to waste time since we are there a very short time but I also don't want to go with a set plan and it not fit her.

I remember DH and I went in Sept about 8 years ago and walked on to every ride except Splash Mountain. We did Space Mountain 2 times with NO wait whatsoever.

Should I force us to a touring plan or will we be okay? Its not like I'm going blind, I know what rides/attractions are where and which are fast pass ones.

just go and have a great time. as long as u have an idea as ta what u want to do u should be fine. we did that in july and had a blast lol and we didn't have a clue about anything have a blast take lots of pics. and tell us all aout it when u get back heres a lil pixiedust: for yalls trip pixiedust:

We hate set plans, we have never used any set plan in over 38 some visits other than which park we want on which day. Only advice I recommend, is having a basic knowledge of the layout of the parks you plan to visit. Most parks are set up so that you can make a loop around and see just about everything they have to offer. Using a guide and jumping from this attraction to hat because they say lines will be shorter is bologna in my mind.

Best bet is the knowledge, and a slow walking pace to see all and do all and not tiring yourself out. Enjoy the park and attractions. Its a lnog day, parks are open tons of hours and our stays are between 8-12 nights, plenty of time to see and do it all, and besides, we're always coming back, have been since 1977 with no questions asked.

In our dozen or so trips to WDW we have never had a touring plan. We know what rides we are wanting to go on, shows we want to see. We choose the land we want to start in and go from there. We usually go during somewhat off times too and usually see and do all we want to.
