Sorry I've been absent for a little while. I've not been feeling that well and still haven't figured out why. I am better but still not great. Having an Endoscopy done next week. Everything else has came back clear so far. Maybe I'll have something figured out soon!

So anyway, back to DISNEY talk!!!!

$aving and Paying for Disney!

I thought I'd talk a little about how I am getting this trip paid for. It's definitely taking some saving up!!! But getting the Free Dining has helped TONS, I'm so glad we were able to take advantage of that!! It took $985.80 off our balance!

Our total started at $3,392.57

Every time I save a good amount using coupons or save cash from not eating out or we have a little extra money left from our paychecks, that money goes into my savings and then I pay it onto our Disney balance! It really makes me aware of how much I'm spending because I know if I save any, that money can go towards our trip!!

So, just in July I was able to pay $625 on our balance! That brought our total down to $2,767.57 Then when the FD was applied, it dropped to $1,781.77!! Woohoo!!
And that is where it sits now. I haven't made any payments this month since for some reason I'm unable to do it online now. Does anyone know why this is? Every since they applied the FD on the phone I can't make payments online. I've tried emailing them but got a very vague response that didn't help at all. Do I have to call every time I need to make a payment now???
I do have some more saved in my account from this month and hope to pay down that balance a little more!

After the balance is taken care of, we then have to save up some spending money and gas money, etc...!!

Is it March yet?!?!

Wow, I can't believe the difference FD made in your final total -def worth adding it on!

I can't help with the payment question but that is strange.

I meant to make this post a week ago but I've just been super busy!!

So... I will be making my ADR's NEXT WEEK!!!

I have 6 in mind... totaling 7 dining credits. We only get 5 so 2 will have to be OOP...
Here is my wish list... Cross your fingers that I get what I want!!!

Akershus - BREAKFAST
Mama Melrose F! pkg - DINNER
Tusker House - BREAKFAST
T-Rex? (oop - maybe) - DINNER
Cinderella's Royal Table (2 credits) - DINNER
Cape May Cafe (oop) - BREAKFAST


I had thought about doing Boma for a dinner and doing 1900 PF too, but decided that we should try CRT. I know DD really wished we could have done CRT on our last trip so we should do it! I'm also not 100% sure we will do Cape May, but for now I plan to book it.

We had lunch at Akershus on our '07 trip... about a month before we left, I had second thoughts about the lunch menu, and tried to change it to breakfast but to no avail. Lunch turned out to be okay (well, for DH and the girls... I didn't like my meal at all) but I wish we had done breakfast instead!

Yay!!!! Well, I got them all except for T-Rex but I knew I may not be able to get that online, no biggie, if we want to go we will just walk up.

We will be there about two weeks before you go! Loving the PTR so far, can't wait to see more. I'm also glad I found someone else going right around the same time so I can make sure my planning is right on T!

Grats on getting your ADRs!!! I can't wait to hear about your experiences! We've done lunch at Akershus, but not breakfast (which would be more up my alley). I'm jealous of your CRT ADR!

I've heard rumors that you can call T-Rex directly for an ADR. If you're interested, it may be an option!
