We are going to Universal and staying at the HRH and we will also be spliting the week with some relaxing beach time in Ft. Myers Beach. I was just wonderingif anyone has ever stayed at the Ramada Inn Beachfront and if so, could they provide any feedback specific to the hitel or even Ft. Myers Beach. Any info would be welcomed :sunny:

For a relaxing beach I'd head a little farther south and stay in Naples at La Playa on Vanderbilt Beach or the Beach Club on Naples Beach.

I've been to Ft. Myers and stayed at a hotel on the main drag instead. This would be state road 41 or highway 45. This road is about 10 minutes from the beach. I think I stayed at a Ramada on this highway. The hotel prices will be less, and the service better. Hotels on the beach will usually charge more, and have bad reviews, because they have a steady stream of visitors no matter what.
For example, the same thing happens at USF. There is a Holiday Inn directly across the street from the parking garage. The hotel has marginal ratings, because people don't know better, and book the hotel just because it is close to the parks.

I do remember, there is a Holiday Inn at the South end of Ft. Myers beach, and that one is a resort. We stayed there one night. It has a huge beach, 100 yards long of hard white sand. A bar next to a packed pool. Jet ski riding. The hotel is worth it, but the price makes it a splurge, it's expensive. Here, I found it. Type in Holiday Inn Ft Myers Beach into Yahoo.
