Going to see "WICKED" tomorrow!

I saw this on Broadway with the original Broadway cast and it has become one of my all time favorites! Your kids will love it!!!! The music, sets, lighting, and storyline are all incredible!!!!!
Have a wonderful time...and let us know what you think about it afterwards!!!! My DD5 and DS7 sing the songs all the time....yours will love it, too!!!!!

Thanks guys for posting! We are heading out the door...seeing the matinee. We are balcony level, and tix were $65...no extra fees as we bought them at the theater about 5 weeks ago. So yes...pretty pricey for our family...we usually do not drop that kind of cash for a single event...but have never been to a broadway show...anything, so it's about time we experience it!
I'll post later...but really psyched now! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Dan...thnaks for the shopping link...looks like the merchandise will cost almost as much as out tickets!

Pam

I look forward to hearing your review. I just purchased tickets last week for a matinee in January, I am taking my DD for her 10th B-Day.

Idina Menez as Elphaba was awesome, tis difficult for me to imagine someone else doing the part justice.

I too, agree. I hope if they ever make the movie...it will cast the originals, Idina menzel as Elphaba and Kristin Chenowith as Galinda.

If you are going to be in NY anyhow and are not adamant about seeing Wicked, but willing to take a chance, I read on their website that there is a lottery for tickets in the front row (I think 28 tickets at $25 each). I believe you have to sign up for the lottery two and a half hours ahead, and the drawing is two hours before. Limit two tickets per person. My daughter and I plan to try this the next time we go into the city. if we don't get them, then we'll just go to the TKTS booth and see something else. Hope this helps someone. Ohhh....some other shows do similar things. sometimes it is just a student rush, and in a few cases it is open to anyone. cheryl

I saw Wicked with Idina and without. Although Shoshana Bean was good, I thought Idina brought so much more to the character. She is very nice too, she signed my playbill at the stage door.

Anyone ever sit in the rear mezzanine seats at Gershwin for Wicked??? $75 seats or gone, $50 ones remain. Hate to pay over $100 each for 4 tickets...
