Going to see Harry this weekend?

We saw it at midnight last night/this morning! It was GREAT!! I laughed and I cried. Cliche, I know, but it's true!

We will be going to see it again with my parents and a group of my friends. Can't wait. Now, it just needs to be next summer! :)

My family are going tomorrow evening with another HP Fanatic family - so there will be 2-13 year olds, 2-10 year olds, an 8 year old and 4 over 40-year olds who (I think) are more HP fans that the kids :lmao: We wanted to go tonight but cheer comp practice just got in the way :(

Can't wait! Just about finished re-reading the book to get me in "mood"!

I took the day off work today so my hubby and I are going this afternoon while the kids are still in school! :thumbsup2

Excellent movie - and I think it held more true to the book than any previous movie.

I dunno about that. There are a few things that I am trying to figure out how they intend to resolve in July because they didn't include them now. There was also some stuff they left out which was disappointing but not integral to the plot, so I guess it is OK. There was quite a bit that was word-for-word from the book, too. I did really enjoy it (I think it's my favorite so far), but I'm not sure I'd say it was the most true to the source material.

Waaaah....not until Tuesday. I am almost 9 mos pg, and had to wait until DH and I could get a babysitter. I hope my baby doesn't come before then...she has to at least hold out til Black Friday :goodvibes

This was me a couple years back with New Moon, I saw it the Friday night with my sister, and my water broke the Saturday morning. I had contractions through the entire movie and the rest of the night.

Good Luck to you!!!! I love having a lil turkey baby!!!!

We are going on Saturday. DS18 and some friends went to the midnight showing last night.

We are going Saturday at 10:30 am with friends. :)

We saw it at midnight last night. I'm not sure how many screens at our theater were showing it, but when we got there (just before 10:00) we were allowed to go straight in and choose a seat in theater 1, 2, 3 or 4. They were all almost full when we got there, but we still got fairly good seats. There were also several screens showing it starting at 12:15. We had lots of people in costume, including a bunch of random Hogwarts students, several Harrys, Rons, Lunas, Bellatrix, Hedwig, a Whomping Willow, a Golden Snitch, Dobby, Dolores Umbridge, and a ton of muggles.

I loved it, though I thought the feel of it was very different than any of the previous movies. I was impressed by how true it stayed to the book although a few changes did jump out at me. I got sort of teary at a couple of parts. I'm really looking forward to the next half!

Loved it!

Question: did anyone have previews?

We had Season of the Witch, Green Lantern, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Yogi Bear and Cowboys and Aliens. I think there might have been a couple of other ones too but I can't remember what they were. I was hoping for TRON: Legacy, but we didn't have that one.

Question: did anyone have previews?

We had a TON of previews. I don't know if I'm remembering them all, but we had: Kung Fu Panda 2, Cowboys vs. aliens, Tron, Green Lantern, Green Hornet, Narnia, and I think one or two other one that I'm not remembering right now. It was insane how many there were.

edit to add: I see someone mentioned the trailer for Yogi, that was the other one we had.

edited AGAIN: Oh yeah, Little Red Riding Hood, too. See, it was ridiculous how many previews we had.

There was a gal in the midnight show here dressed as Narcissa Malfoy. Looked just like her. Now that was unusual. Otherwise there was the usual collection of Hogwarts students in robes, people toting wands, a couple of Death Eaters, regularly-dressed folks in Gryffindor scarves and ties and unrepentant muggles.

Whomping Willow would be a heckuva Halloween costume.

LOVED THE MOVIE!!! we only had two previews tron and some disney movie that looked like crap mars wants moms. we went to midnight imax sold out as well as all 10 other theaters. Costumes were great the people were fun. Can't wait to do it again in July. We got to take out seats at 9pm and then towards the end people were coming in and there were no seats left, they oversold the show i heard.

We saw previews for Green Lantern, Tron, Cowboys vs. Aliens, Narnia, and Little Red Riding Hood. I definatly want to see Narnia and Red Ridining Hood. I was hoping for a preview of Part 2.
