Going to non-disney when staying

at Disney. I looking at flying down in Sept and taking advantage of the FT at the AKL. However, I would like to do Seaworld for a day, and wonder what options there are for somebody staying at Disney? I didn't want to rent a car at the airport, because, I would only need transporaton 3 out of 8 days (get to and from the hotel, and going to Seaworld). What are my options?

My second choice, I might stay 2 nights (free via Hiltion honors) at the Hilton at Seaworld, but then I would need transportation from the Hilton to the AKL for my week there.

I know there are shuttles from the hotel to the airport (correct me if I'm wrong), but I'm not sure about the in-between 1 day kind of travel.

Any idea what a cab would run?

Why would you want go to Seaworld???? Just pulling your leg...

You can catch a shuttle or if want there are limos that you can pre-arrange to take you from the airport to AKL and back to the airport. The shuttle may take longer as you have to wait for it to fill up and then depending on your luck dropping of the other passengers if yours is the last stop.

Most Disney resorts have transportation to Seaworld, at least I have seen signs for it, small signs though

Call the AKL and ask them, and they can also arrange the transport for you to Seaworld. They will want you to stay there and "donate" more to the operations of WDW

There are also taxis that AKL valet parking will call for you--and they are there in about 5 minutes. These are nice taxis, not the usual crappy variety you get in the city. You canalso rent a car on-site for about $40 per day. They will send a car to pick you up and take you back to your hotel after you return the rental. Otherwise, you can arrange for a car thru Florida Tours, listed elsewhere here on the Dis site.

I'll keep it in mind. Any idea what Limo's run? I'm thinking it would be a nice surprise for my GF.

From the airport to WDW it ranges from $80 to $160 round trip depending on company and if it is a sedan or a stretch limo.

Checkout the transportation board for the companies, most commonly used here are happy limo, florida tours, yourride.

We went to Sea World from POR in October of 2001. We took a Mears shuttle & I believe it was around $12.00 per person. It worked out really well for us. I believe they have rates listed at Mearstransportation.com.
