going to non-Disney resorts

My husband and I are looking into buying at SSR. What are your experiences in trying to trade into other non-disney resorts/hotels? Is it difficult or easy? How far in advance to you have to plan?

depends upon what you are looking at - the concierge hotels - if they are availability you can get them

the world passport is really II - Interval International - an exchange company - they can only give you what they have - if you pick a very popular resort and II does not have any exchanges that year - then sorry. but DVC works with you and tries very hard to get you what you want.

for the world passport - 2 years?

for the concierge - 11 months?
