Going to Disney for my birthday ( Nov) need ideas ..

I will be taking a short trip to Disney for my birthday ( nov 1 to nov 4) is just a weekend trip , going solo . I've never been to Disney alone and was looking for ideas for adult things to do . Other than restaurants what else to do for fun? I was wondering if there is a meet group for the month of November , how do I find out? I booked animal kingdom lodge but what hotel will you go for a solo trip and why?

Happy Birthday!! be sure to ask for a "happy birthday" button if you are not given one at check-in. I made my first solo trip last year and all the restaurants accommodate single travelers quite well. One thing i enjoyed, having have done it many times, is the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. I am staying at Old Key West, one of my home resorts w/DVC.
I booked at "behind the scenes tour" at AK. it was great!! there are tours offered at all the parks. fun way to learn more about that park. Also, at fort wildness, I rode the segway; this too was a "tour". lots and lots of fun!!!
People watching is always is a good thing to do while "resting". Be sure to ask about the singles line at the rides. Also, consider sharing a table at a counter service restaurant. it's like having dining companions and can be interesting chatting w/them.
