Going to AS-Sports Labor Day weekend & feeling unsure about it

Got a great rate at the Sports for Labor Day Weekend & for some reason, I am just not "happy" like I usually am about going. Sounds crazy to some I guess. I live in SW FL and my home has suffered some damage from the hurricane. It isn't anything that would make me have to leave my house, but it is enough that it must be repaired. We all down here are having a terrible time getting people to come & give us estimates, never mind to repair anything. I have so much I should be doing, but seems no one can come...all booked or not calling back etc.. anyway.... I am suppose to be going to WDW for some relaxation & to get away from the stress here, but I am unsure about even going...this was sort of a silly post, but needed to vent to someone who would understand.... many of my friends think I am nuts for going as many time to WDW as I do..so talking to them wouldn't be positive...they would say for me to stay home... then with this other storm heading to the US... I am not ready for another hurricane!

Vent all you need! You deserve too! I've been through a similar situation where posting what was on my mind on every message board helped and just took a load off my shoulder (for me it was being next to NYC on 9/11). Like I said do whatever makes you feel better! I understand you are hesitant about going, but maybe going would make you feel better if even it was for a few days. It's not like your trying to escape forever, your dealing with everything in a positive way right now and it warrants taking a break!

Just talked to my husband about it & he says I should still go... even if it is just me & my youngest child going. Only thing is, he may end up having to work that weekend (if something were to happen, such as Hurricane Francis hitting FL, he works for a newspaper) then that leaves a 16 & 17 home alone with the dogs... & I am not comfortable with that. The 17 yr old & husband weren't coming to begin with, the 16 yr old just started a job yesterday & not sure if she can get off now. In the event the storm were to hit any part of Fl, after just going thru Charley, I wouldn't want my teens in the house by themselves... just a big mess now with Francis... Yes, I know it is early to tell what Francis is doing, but not having my repairs done from Charley & another maybe on the way. I do not know what to do now... I have till tomorrow to make up my mind... I think.. I may just call Disney & ask them if I were to not "cancel" but postpone my arrival will they allow that after my 5 day window.
