:confused3 We are going in October but even though we have two small kids, 7 and 4, we are not planning to do MNSSHP. So on those nights is the park totally closed to us? And if so, what can we do as an alternative? I guess I just need to research MNSSHP a little more. Seems like then the MK would 'close' early for those who have not purchased the party tickets. Thanks for any info. :wave2:

On party nights the MK does close at 6pm to guests that do not have MNSSHP tickets.MNSSHP ticket holders get wristbands so the CMs know who's there for the party.

There are still LOTS of FUN things to do at WDW!!! You could go to another park.In Oct.Epcot is open until 9pm ,MGM to 7:30 or 8pm. You could go explore DTD,shop at the Market Place, have dinner at another resort, play miniature golf or just hang out at your resort and pool. :sunny:

That's an EXCELLENT night to hit Epcot or DTD; we skipped it as well with our then 4 year old (I'd done MVMCP and didn't really enjoy it). I'd actually suggest epcot over DTD, but it depends on how "parked out" you might be. A nice night at the pool when there's not so many other kids can be great too.

We've been to WDW at least 3 times during MNSSHP and have never gone. We don't plan to go this year either. It doesn't really change things too much if you're there for a few days and can work another evening in to see Spectro and/or Wishes. As others have said, you can go to Epcot for Illuminations or MGM to see Fantasmic that night (not to mention the other non-park evening stuff to do).

You could also go into Disneyquest. Many of the nights will have a different park opened for EMH that you could attend. There is also the campfire and movie at Fort Wilderness. Explore other resorts (but don't plan on swimming in their pools)- have dinner at a sit down restraunt at them or in their food court. Play in the arcades. Go miniture golfing.

Have dinner at the Poly and go down to the beach and watch the MNSSHP fireworks....they are amazing.

I'm planning our first trip and we are planning to go to MNSSHP but I received some great advice on here. It was recommended we not do MK the day we're doing MNSSHP b/c we'd be paying twice to get in. So, for us, we'll be hitting TL or DQ that day, breaking for dinner and then off to MK for the party. If you don't want to go to the party I would recommend Epcot or MGM - you can check park hours on this site. Also, if you subscribed to touringguides.com you can see what park is recommended for that day and which parks they recommend you avoid due to crowds and such.

Good luck and have a great trip!

Thanks for all the good advice. I looked at our planned itinerary and we would be at Epcot one of the MNSSHP nights and at WCC for dinner after a day at Animal Kingdom the other night. So it all looks great. I appreciate the responses. :cool1:
