SOOOOOOOOOO excited! Hubby and I went on a trip to Disney in March as an adults only short trip..had a fabulous time! Well with the free dining plan advertised we started chatting about another trip but this time we are going to surprise our daughter for her graduation/18th Birthday gift! She has no idea...I'm so excited and glad to have a trip to plan for!

We are going August 29th and coming back September 4th. Short trip but it will be just a Mom/Daughter trip this time! I cannot wait to see her reaction!

We bought the plane tickets and I'm going to put them UNDER tissue paper in a box and put a cute little Minnie Mouse teeshirt we saw in Forever 21 the other day in the tissue paper...and give that to her for her graduation present. I think she MIGHT be a bit disappointed in just a tee for her grad present...we will say "wow you don't seem terribly excited about that gift, we were really expecting a much bigger reaction out of you." If all goes well she will say "well its a nice shirt and all...but" then we will say "oh you didn't notice the rest of it?" She might just have a mini heart attack at that point. Her last trip was a surprise as well, for her 16th birthday!!

How fun!!!
Congrats!

I'm doing something similar...We have another family trip in June, but I'm taking just my middle son for a special "Mommy and Me" trip in early December before the Christmas crowds. It's a surprise. His birthday is during your August/Sept trip! (we did those dates last year for his birthday!) and I picked up a Christmas themed Mickey plush (on clearance at the Disney Store!!) I'm planning to give him for his birthday. I plan to attach a little message card that says "See you in December!"

I did a similar trip when my oldest was his age, and plan to do one when my DD gets a few years older too. I know your DD is older, but it is still such a SPECIAL time!!pixiedust:

That sounds exciting! We have surprised her several times in all the years we've gone but the surprise sweet 16 (her last trip) was a big hit! We literally told her in the van on the way there...she thought she was going on a 2 day camping trip with 2 friends...which turned into a 9 day Disney trip and swimming with Manatees in Crystal Springs!

This time she will be told a bit in advance...but still a HUGE surprise since she thinks we MIGHT go in March during spring break and that she knows is a slight maybe!
