Going Home...Literally

We took our first trip with my oldest two children 17 years ago Since then I've had a son with special needs who says Disney is his last name, and of course many magical trips watching them all grow and still loving Disney!

That first time we pulled up to CBR is still fresh in my memory! That brand new resort was the coolest thing I had ever seen and the theming was awesome and something our young family could afford.

With the addition of my third little guy we outgrew the mods quickly and would miss our stays at CBR. I found the DIS boards and that opened up a whole new can of worms! Split stays, concierge, who has the best to offer and the best room rates. I remember watching the boards like crazy when AKL opened for the first room reports.

Well, we are going home this Sept. for my youngest's 16 B-Day and I have been so surprised at how excited I am. I have really missed CBR and now that the older 2 are in college we can stay there again!

I am not going to miss one thing about the deluxes and concierge I am just that happy about this trip. I can't believe myself that's why the long winded post! Even though I will be missing part of our family I will be remembering their sweet little faces full of awe on that first trip.

CBR here I come back home!!

I know how you feel. My "home" is POFQ. I've never been able to afford to stay in a deluxe, but I have spent time at each of the deluxe resorts, and while they are lovely and I know I would enjoy a stay there if the opportunity ever came up, POFQ is home.

Good for you and have a great trip. Ever since my 2 older DD's became teenagers our trips have not been the same, not bad just different. It's good to be able to claim a distant memory.

My problem is one of my best trips in memory, not our 1st, was in 2003 when my oldest was 12 and they were all still sweet and innocent. What's the problem you say? It was after I found these boards and stayed Poly conceirge and now we all feel like that is our home. It was also during the special where you paid for 4 days and got 3 free, our room was only like $200 and some change per night for conceirge.

We have been back once since then but stayed GV, and will do that again next summer, it's just getting harder to justify the extra expense of conceirge.

Have a wonderful time on your trip. My children our older now (17 and 25), but I have brainwashed them to love WDW as much as me. I also now have two grandchildren who I am working on.

Hellooo!!! Haha, yes, I love BWI concierge and all the CM's are so nice as you know. That's why I was so surprised at how excited I am for this trip. Hopefully we will get to see you there again sometime!! Christmas again maybe?? My oldest just went to visit a gal(guest) in NJ Jackie introduced him to in the lounge 5 years ago how funny is that!
