going for less than 2 weeks - is it worth it ?

In recent years I've done trips of:

8 nights (WDW, Discovery Cove & Sea World BUT we were already in the USA)
3 nights (Universal - but again already in the USA)
10 nights (Universal & Sea World)
9 nights (Universal)

We have never found oursevles short of time but we are young people without children. We cut down the last two trips - ideally we wanted two weeks, but it knocked several hundred £ off the cost of the flights. If you try to do EVERYTHING, you'll feel rushed, but since we only do Universal, we find it to be plenty of time (7 days of the parks + a few free days).

I've done trips from 3 nights to 21 nights and you ALWAYS want "one more day"...!

finding this really intersting - we've done 2 visits of 14 days each, 1 visit of 10 days and this year are doing 21 days. Am thinking that future trips will need to be only 7 days due to school - we're going in August this year but if the children don't cope with the heat then we won't be repeating it. Would also love to go around Halloween and Christmas which would probably have to be 1 week trips

We're doing 21 days this time as we never get enough time there, however long we stay!

i too am worried about heat and being tied to school holidays now my daughter is starting her gcse's a week or 8 days is probably the max we could do

i have heard good things about october so thought this would be a good time to go

Unless last August was particularly uncharacteristic of August, your kids will be fine and there'll be no need to cut down to a week. We went for two in August last year and going for 4 weeks in August this year! Kids are 5&3

I've done two one-week trips, one was just Orlando and one was in Sarasota but we took a day trip to Universal.

The Orlando trip is probably more relevant to what you're looking at. We did 3 parks MK, Kennedy Space Centre and then I think MGM and that was doing something every other day - so first day we didn't do much, second day park, third day outlets etc. Even thought it was only a week we still did loads!

Last year we were in Florida for 2 weeks but only 6 night in Orlando - managed to do MK, Epcot and 3 days at Universal with park hoppers. It was v v busy and I was exhaused by the end!!
