My New Years resolution last year got me on the South Beach Diet. This worked well and I was able to stay on and lose about 25lbs but then in March a huge roadblock was put in my way and I went astray. (I went to Disney World). I never did manage to get motivated after that but I'm trying again!! Yes, another New Years resolution. Starting January 4th...I'm back on the Beach!!

Now I need your help...I'm not much of a veggie person but I need some ideas for breakfast. What's quick and easy and yummy too? What about snacks? All I can think of are scrambled eggs and cheese. Give me your ideas/tips!!

:flower1:

I usually have a one egg omelet with some cheddar cheese and a slice of turkey bacon for breakfast. Since that gets boring sometimes I eat ham/turkey cheese rollups for breakfast. You don't have to have "breakfast" food for breakfast. Sometimes I'll have sausage but not that often. I personally don't like cottage cheese but my mom sometimes has it for breakfast. When she got to phase 2 she sometimes has oatmeal too. In phase 2 you could have a whole wheat bagel or english muffin every now and then. You could even have eggs, canadian bacon and cheese on the muffin, better than McDonalds! Yum! ::yes:: I think the biggest tip I can give though is to not have the mindset that all you can have for breakfast is eggs, bacon, sausage, ect. Eat whatever your heart desires as long as it's on plan. :)

For snacks I usually have string cheese, almonds, deviled eggs, red bell pepper strips or sugar free Jell-o. Every now and then, like once a week I have some celery and peanut butter. So good! :)

Welcome back to the beach. You might want to post your question on on beach thread, and I'm sure you'd get lots of responses.

That being said, eggs, cheeses, meats. There is a receipe guide where someone posted for flaxseed bread. I often eat that for breakfast. Check the internet for great menu ideas. I typically eat whatever I want to for breakfast and don't limit it to "breakfast foods".

You can get ebook on ebay for .99 cents that has a bunch of ideas. :) Just search for southbeach ebook.
