Going at Christmas

Hey all:

With Christmas sort of mid week this year... I of course know it will be insanely crowded. We have been at Thanksgiving before, and also Dec. 19-23 once. I felt the Dec. trip was more crowded than TG -agree? And I thought those pre-Xmas days were pretty insanely crowded - how much worse is it after Xmas?

Do you think it will be less crowded say Dec. 21-26 (Friday-Wed)

OR

Dec. 31-Jan 5 (Mon-Sat)? I know at least New Year's will be crazy - but what about the 2nd-5th? Still insane?

I really enjoy DL around New Years. Having done a trip over NYE and one right after, i'd tell you that there is a difference in crowd levels.... But not by much. School is still out and the crowds are pretty heavy. With that said, have a solid plan and you should have a great time!

We are going Dec 21-28. Never been there Christmas Day before, but have at other times. (Thanksgiving as well). We chose to be there for the whole week, so that we wouldn't be in a hurry for anything. I think the crowds are not that bad if you are not fighting them. We have been there several times when the park was filled to capacity and have realized that our frame of mind makes all the diffrence in the world. Just keep in mind if you don't get to do something one day, there is always the next day.

One time when we were there we sat watching the crowd and really felt sorry for some of the families. Here they are in the "happiest place on earth" and they were all stressed out about getting to see everything. I have heard many people say "Plan it out to make the most of your time". My theroy is to stay another day or two and happily stroll from activity to activity without a plan to stress you out.
