any other help would be greatly appreciated

thanks all

I will follow along as we are going for our 30th this year!

We went to Southern California & Disneyland Resort for 5 days, Kauai for 7 days and Oahu for 4 days on our vacation last summer. We looked at buying the 3 day Oahu Go Card through Costco (cheapest price I could find). It would have been a ton of stuff to cram in to just 3 days to get our money's worth. Lots of the activities were tours with bus transportation. We had a rental car the whole time. I priced out all the things we wanted to do every which way possible - with the go card, with coupons, with rental car and parking costs, etc. In the end, we bought the 2013 Entertainment Book on sale and used the coupons from it for the USS Arizona audio tour, USS Bowfin & USS Missouri. The Entertainment Book also had BOGO coupons for the Polynesian Cultural Center. We chose not to visit it though. We did a walk up catamaran sail mid day on Waikiki Beach. The walk up price was very cheap...they need to fill the boats to make money. It was the bright yellow catamaran that docks in front of the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach Hotel. It was something like $20 per adult (with open bar) and $10 per child.

We were plenty busy with what we did:
Day 1 - hiked Diamond Head, visited Hanauma Bay, shopped
Day 2 - spent the day on Waikiki Beach and took a catamaran sail
Day 3 - spent the whole day at Pearl Harbor doing all the tours
day 4 - Waikiki beach in the morning for a swim, Iolani Palace in the afternoon before our flight.

In the end, we spent less using coupons and paying for what we did OOP. The Go Card would not have been worth it for us. Your situation may be different so run your numbers. Have fun planning and enjoy your trip!!!

Books are on sale for $9.99 now. Once you find the Hawaii Book you can look under the Dining tab to see restaurant coupons and under the Sports & Attractions tab to see activities coupons. There are lots of things listed for Oahu.

We used the Go Oahu card for our Hawaii trip and felt it was a good value. However, you really have to plan to make it worth it, I think.

Here are some of the things we did with the card:
Circle Tour
Kualoa Ranch tour
Polynesian cultural center and Ha Breath of life
USS Bowfin submarine
Battleship Missouri
US Arizona tour
Pearl Harbor-Historical city tour
Dole plantation
Diamond head hike
Iolani Palace
Queen Emma summer palace
Germaine's Luau

These are all from memory, so hopefully these are correct. I've had to reimage my computer since our trip, so I don't have my spreadsheet.

We basically had something in the morning and something in the afternoon in order to get our money's worth from the card and to see all the sites. It wasn't a leisurely time! But we used the Go Oahu card while we were staying in Waikiki and then moved to Ko Olina for the rest of the trip and lounged around.

We also got the Entertainment book. I used the coupon for B1G1F surfing with the North Shore Surf Girls. We might have also used that for the Germaine's Luau I mentioned above.
