Gnomies Gone Wild

Good mornin' Gomies! Beautiful non-freezing or snowy morning here in Northern Illinois!

Saw Alice last night. Went in w/no expectations other then I wuld probably love it...and I did! Gonna see it in 3-D when it goes discounted. Spent some quality "me" time @ the mall yesterday...picked up the 2010 Unofficial Guide! I was gna get the Passporter but decided that altho it's def. more fun 2 look @....the Guide has more helpful info.

Have any of u done the Summit Plummit @ BB? Im terrified to try but I want to!!

Have a good Monday!

Good Morning Gnomies,
What a beautiful day outside today! A lot was accomplished this weekend, was able to get the carpets cleaned...still have a couple of rooms to work on will do that throughout the week! I didn't get as much done with the garage as I would have liked, but did get a lot done with the car, other things in the house and what not! Tonight we have a contractor coming over to look at the bathroom about some repairs we want to make, hopefully it won't completely destroy my bathroom and won't be too expensive so say a little prayer about that!! That is the last major repair without a few touchups of paint and some outdoor work before we put it on the market by the end of the month LOL!

Hi Gnomies!

I'm in the moving home stretch.

Shhh...I'm in denial about unpacking. Let me have my fantasies for a few days more.

I just put two patches on my couch because my stupid cat (SULLY!) has been scratching it. Ugh. I was too embarrassed to have Marc's cousins come over and help him move it with the gaping holes. It may not be the same exact fabric color but at least it looks whole.

Oh and I'm also in denial about the rain that is supposed to come on Friday and Saturday. :rolleyes1

Happy Wednesday girls!!

LL and Stace, we had about 1 week straight of beautiful sunny weather that has now changed over to 1 week straight of cloudy, foggy, rainy weather. I miss the sun! The good news for us though is the rain is VERY light (with temps only around 40) and is helping melt the snow but doing it slowly. We are under flooding watches because of the giant snowpack we had but hopefully the slow melt will keep it to a minimum.

Jen, I admire how ready you almost are to putting your house on the market. We aren't anywhere close but the fact that it is only a possibility and not for sure yet isn't making me want to work on it yet either!

Good luck on the final leg of your move LL! Be sure to post pictures when you are done

Hope everyone has a great day! :grouphug:

So much moving and grooving going on over here!!!! I hope for good weather and ease in moving for everyone!!!! Jen---so glad you have gotten so much ready to go!!!!

Well, the forecast is saying it's going to downpour on Saturday. :headache:

Marc is going to call some family and friends and see if anyone can help him tomorrow night after work or even during the day. UGH UGH UGH. I have visions of Marc and I trying to move our couch ourselves tomorrow before the rain. :rotfl2:

Happy Wednesday, Gnomies!!!

Nothing too exciting going around here. Just keeping a weather eye out for the first major severe weather outbreak of the season.

OK my dear gnomies, I figured I would ask here because I know some of you have experience in this area...

I'm going to attempt to make some shirts for our trip. Those of you who have done this, give me some guidelines on how to do this the right way

PLEASE!!!!

Stupid severe weather. :headache:

Katie, my biggest piece of advice?? Make sure you peel the backing off the paper BEFORE you start ironing. :rolleyes1

It's quite easy though, just follow the directions and it will be fine. Also if you don't want to use a lot of your ink then choose designs that don't have a lot of black.

Wowsers! Sure is quiet on the gnomie thread!

How is everyone? today is the start of a 3 day weekend at our house. Patrick has an appointment in Des Moines today so we will all go just to do a few things we can't in our smaller town. Otherwise, no big plans for the weekend. I think I will take the boys to the open art studio at the community center tomorrow morning. They just started doing this last month and we haven't tried it yet, sounds like fun.

Hope everyone is well....Happy Friday!

It has been quiet around these parts lately.....must be so busy, busy, busy!!!! I am so glad it is Friday though....can't wait for the weekend! I am hoping for some more sun, but I think it is going to be a damp, rainy weekend. Oh well!!! At least it isn't snow!!!!! Good luck on the weather with the move LL!!!

Yes, it has been way busy around these parts with getting ready for job fairs, making resumes, getting things done around the house! I don't think I will be able to relax until we move LOL!!!

I want to wish all my gnomes a great weekend!! Enjoy your time away from work, with family, or however you choose to spend it!!

Hi, everyone! It's a teacher workday for me today, and guess what I am doing? Since it's March, yep, you guessed it -- tracking severe weather. Charles is home with the kids today, and I do believe that my last words to him were, "Don't be a Storm Story today." He's the type that would be standing outside watching the clouds rotate.

Oh my! Jackie - tell him that if he does, some poor girl all the way up in London, ON, Canada will be worrying sick about him and his family!
LL - how's your move working out?

Katie - I dreamed about talking to you about Beth last night, how is she doing?

Pretty quiet week up here. I'm just finishing my time in my old work position and waiting to get the heck out! :headache: Going to the movies tomorrow after my 10.5 hour work day....any big gnomie plans for the weekend?

Move is going well. I pretty much hit a brick wall with the unpacking today and didn't get as much done as I wanted. Oh well. There is always tomorrow!! :rotfl2:

He behaved himself, but that might be because the worst of the weather fizzled out before it got to us. Thank goodness! We just had some really heavy rain!

What are you going to see today, Stace?

That's right -- there is always tomorrow or the next day or the next...well, you get the picture.

LL, if it makes you feel any better...I unpacked the last of our boxes last year after living in this house 9 years (of course I just repacked them in a different manner, that's the problem with a basement...out of sight...) Can't wait to see pics of the new place!

CP, glad to hear the weather (and charles) are behaving ;)

Jen, when is the job fair?

Stace, thanks for asking about Beth. I talked to her last week and she has been feeling pretty good lately. She hasn't gotten to have her nerve block procedure yet because of insurance red tape. I don't know if it will happen before the trip or not :confused3 She is in the process of weaning off one medication and will be starting a different one in a few days. She is still amazingly optimistic about beating this thing down! Since she is feeling well, we are meeting for lunch next week in order to do a little more planning

No big exciting plans for our weekend. We are going to an art studio open house with a friend and his mom. We'll probably do lunch after and maybe go do some petting at the local nursery that is hosting pets from the shelter this weekend

We have had a week of cloudy, drizzly, foggy weather here but happily the temps in the 40's have melted the snow almost all away without any serious flooding. The sun is supposed to return tomorrow with temps rising into the 50's

oh yes, and waiting excitedly for the NCAA brackets to be announced tomorrow :cheer2:

Have a great weekend my friends!
