I'm home!!​

Yayaya!

I was discharged around 2ish. Came home, took a shower and jumped on the computer.

Marc just went to get my pain meds and I'm really looking forward to taking them and taking a nap. I'm really tired.

I'm sore too. The car ride was not pleasant every bump in the road hurt a little bit.

But honestly, I am doing way better than I thought I would be.

Today was my store's grand opening and it was a looooooong day! But busy and good and it flew by like crazy! People were lined up at 4am like Black Friday!

Has anyone else given any thoughts to the timing of Gnomefest?

Good Evening Gnomies.

I think I did too much today. After I got off the computer I was in the worst pain I've been in since surgery. I think with coming home, showering and walking up the three flights of stairs that I was just over doing it. I went to lay down but it hurt too much to lay down so I sat on our recliner couch and I passed out for two hours. I slept through Marc watching tv, cooking his dinner, phone ringing...everything. Hehe.

I'm still sore but don't want to take more pain meds yet since they will knock me out again.

I have learned my lesson. The car ride home wasn't pleasant either, a lot of road construction and those bumps were not very fun to go over. Plus I've been coughing a lot which is good from the anesthesia but OUCH.

Marc is my fetching boy. He's been getting everything that I need and such so I can rest.

Owie LL! Needing to cough after surgery is the worst (except maybe for sneezing!) I was having terrible coughing spells when I had Daniel (Greg jokes that's what made my water break) and after my C-section it was just a pathetic wheeze.

Take it easy and enjoy some time to read and Dis and let others take care of you for a little while.

Hey Leslie. I am so glad everything went well. Hope the pain gets better. Take it easy and let Marc wait on you.

BTW--maybe you won't have to worry about coming back to work. Jane started an office pool (which ticked off Paula big time) for the Mega Millions lottery tonight. Estimated jackpot is $325 million dollars. I put a dollar in for you. Maybe we'll win.

I slept good last night, though the cats were pretty angry that we wouldn't let them in the bedroom. I am not taking any chances of them jumping on me while I'm sleeping. Eeeek!

It amazes me how slow I'm moving, it's weird. I'm not used to it. I know it's a good thing for me to rest but it's hard too.

HI HI HI!!! I'm glad you got a good night's rest that is one of the best things you can do during recovery is get good quality rest!!!!

Poor Kitties....they can commeserate with my kitties who get locked out at night most nights too LOL!!!

It will take some time before you are completely back on your feet!!! Just take it easy and enjoy your break and recover smoothly!!!

Good Morning Gnomies!! Hope you are all having a great weekend!!

I haven't been very productive this weekend...should of been doing some cleaning around the house...but laundry is done so that's a good thing!!!

However I did get some DISing done LOL back to work in my TR LOL I do need to get that done before this next trip LOL!!!

I'll try to be around for chat but I have church in the evening so we'll see how that goes!!

Great update JJ! I feel like you, I never did finish my TR, I'm too excited doing the PTR's although sadly, none of those for me. Blake and I put on the WDW Planning DVD yesterday while we were packing. We got all our videos and glasses packed up, our files (old bills) shreaded, unwanted papers thrown out, I went through most of my clothing (not my closet though) and pulled some last minute ebay things out...it's starting to look more organized. So, the plan is that NASA wants Blake down to start Sept 8th, he'll work 3 days a week in Virginia then come home thur-sat with me to help me. We signed the lease, my dad reserved the u-haul and we're investigating the whole changing me to a virginia resident, man I didn't realize it was so much! (new insurance, new license, new registration, inspection sticker and locality sticker-we don't have those in Maryland, new title, new tags). Plus, I'm still waiting to get the paperwork from my boss to see when I start. There's just lots of things to do around here, trying to finish my stuff...but I'm doing well girls. I miss you all and please let me know if I miss anything good! I've been lurking as much as I can lately!
