Gnomies Gone Wild.

So that title raises some questions. Who are the gnomies? And what do gnomies do when they are going wild???

First things are first. Who are the gnomies? Well, they/we are a group of gals who have met here on the DIS through our love of Disney and our friendships have evolved to the point that we have to talk virtually every day- about Disney, about our families, about reality tv, about heartache, about nonsense, and about anything in between.

This is our third thread so between us we have ~500 pages and ~6,000 posts on the gnomie threads alone. If you pool our individual posts we have 41,276 among us! And somehow we have lives outside the DIS!

So let's get to the wild. What is wild for the gnomies?

We have a chat room. A lot happens there. Purchases are enabled. Trips are born. Frustrations are vented. Accomplishments are celebrated. Confessions may or not be made...

To what would we confess? Well you really should join us to find out but without naming names we might confess to:

* drinking so much wine we fall out of chat
* having secret crushes on French waiters
* convincing husbands to make trips to WDW
* thinking our husbands/significant others are rather annoying at times
* practicing fuzzy Disney math
* wishing we were independently wealthy and didn't have to work anymore

I should mention that many of us are hoping to meet in person in April 2010.

Seriously, I NEVER EVER in a million trillion years would have thought that I would meet some of my very best friends online. And yet I have.

I my gnomies. And look forward to making many more friends through this crazy Disney thing.

Hello, Miss Paula! Sorry to have jumped the gun if you wanted to start the thread. I'm just obsessive compulsive and the idea that our conversations/posts could be in jeopardy gets me nervous. Because, what would I do without you all????

Next one is all yours.

And speaking on the next one, shall we take bets (a dole whip? Grand Marnier slushie? Glass of champagne?) on when we need to start thread #4??

Seriously, if manufacturers like Teva, Crocs, Vera etc. only knew how much buying power and influence we had they might employ us full time!

Really, we should be testers for all their new merchandise!

So, apparently resortitis extends beyond Disney World in my case -- I have already found a different Key West resort that I want to stay at!

I'm here girlies!!!! After all this Mushies talk, and the fact that my sis had some last year that she LOVED, I might have to go do some more shopping................

We took Megs to a park tonight to help her continue to ride her bike---with training wheels of course. She did the best job she has ever done....it is so hard for her because she has little to no muscle tone in her abdomen and her legs......but God bless her, she was pumping her little legs like crazy and working her heart out!!! It was a good night!

Yes, we did get our Key West guidebook -- Charles and I went out for coffee (sans kids) on Sunday and went to World Market (where I resisted more wooden giraffes) and the bookstore -- I bought The Insiders' Guide to Key West and Mousejunkies.

It is very hard deciding on a resort although I really like this newest one I have found -- it's cheaper and newer than Casa Marina. This morning, though, I wish I had just bought DVC instead of thinking we needed a change of scenery.

I woke up at 5:00 with Nala bouncing on my head and being hyper, so I got up to let her out and figured I would have some coffee and update while things are still quiet around the house.

Alright gnomies we are getting ready to head out, the bags are packed, and I had to pack according to airline rules (this is why I drive to Disney LOL)!

I will miss all of you but I won't be AWOL the entire time, I will check in to say hi and catch up on all of you because if Caffeine withdrawl was as bad as it was I can't imagine what Gnomie withdrawl would be like LOL!!!
