I like the idea just throw out when you can be in chat and hopefully a few of us can all meet up and catch up LOL!!!

Oh well, tonight will be spent helping my friends move into their house! Should be fun!!!! Although one slight problem, they forgot to make sure the water would be in their name and it has been disconnected...UGH!!!

In Disney news, love the name change paying homage to older names, very cool!

So I figured that after reading for over 2 hours and only getting a week or two of your posts under my belt I would just give up and just start with the new thread. I love reading your trip reports or PTR but I haven't got the guts to start my own... maybe it's because I feel like we are flying by the seat of our pants with this road trip. Or maybe "riding" by the seat of our pants

DF likes to live in denial about how long it takes to organize something like a 10 day road trip. He loves the little worker elf (me) who magically does all the research, reservations and packing. Sometimes I think that man really has it made ... and then I remember that he puts up with my moods like a champ

Enough about me, How is everyone doing this fine Thursday? Any fun weekend plans?

Kels, you should totally start a PTR! Do it! They are so much fun.

I have fun weekend plans!! My parents have rented one of those party boat things and Marc & I are going up, my brother and his dog, his wife has to work but is trying to get someone to switch with her. It's going to be so much fun. We haven't done anything like this all summer with me in school and Marc working two jobs. Soooooooo excited. We are going tomorrow after we get out of work.

LL - That sounds awesome! I've never been on a party boat before. I totally feel for your SIL, it seems I always have to work when fun stuff like that rolls around.
What are you in school for?
Also, I think I read that you and .. was it Jen? are doing a 5K this Sept? I just did my first 5K this summer and LOVED IT(although I hated it the next day when I couldn't walk down stairs)! Ok, maybe it was the free shirt and snacks that got be hooked but I did a 10K and 8K since. I really wanted to do the Disneyland half while we're there but it's sold out. I hope you can stick with your plan because it's so rewarding! I bet you do a 5K just while at MK!

Q: So, not to sound like a park newbie but I thought you could only get one FP at a time and you have to return to the ride during the time on the ticket. I was reading a TR out at DLR that said they would get a new FP every 20 minutes or so and save them until the evening when the park was busy. Is that cheating? I'm a principals daughter and afraid of getting in trouble.

I don't have many plans for the weekend other then working Saturday and hanging with my nieces on Sunday.

I guess I should tell you that I have a nearly 3 year old niece Louisa -aka Lulu and one month old niece Georgia -aka Georgie . I lived with them while DF was deployed and have spent every Wednesday with both Lou and G since they were born. Lulu and I spend most blustery Wednesdays at the local Disney store with a quick stop to visit Hello Kitty.

kels... The FP thing... you can get a new fast pass once your FP window opens up or after (I think) 2 hours. Theres a time on the FP that tells you when your next FP time is available.

You do NOT need to use them during the window. The CM just makes sure its after your start time. We have all done this lots of times and it's not a problem. Actually I've even had a CM give us FPs timed for noon AFTER Fantasmic (8pm-ish), so we could go ride!

In the mornings you can go ride to ride with very little wait in the standby line... so snapping up FPs as you are able to then really helps getting on some of the more popular rides later in the day!

of course thats at WDW... not DL... but I'm sure its about the same!

BTW... I don't do PTRs anymore..... I think they're bad luck!

I di not finish the 2nd TR. I got all emotionally wrought over the winter and stopped. I have Seasonal Affective Disorder and it really hit me hard this year. By the time I was ready to continue it...the mods had closed the thread... besides I couldn't find my notes! There's a couple good days on there at least!

My other TR.... is in JEN's Siggie..... but she's sorta dropped the ball on that one She could have had a baby since starting it.... actually that baby would be almost 2 months old now I think the next Jen/Paula trip... I'll have to do the TR

You can get a new FP after 2 hours or when your FP time has come, so if you get a FP for 10:24AM, after 10:24AM you can get a new FP. Like Paula said, you can ride anytime after the time on your ticket. They don't give you a hard time at all.

I was going to do a 5k but with school, I've dropped the ball on that. I'm going to school for Medical Assisting.

I your nieces' names! How cute are they! I love names like that.

My SIL is going to be able to come, she just has to leave a bit earlier to get to work but at least she gets to come which is nice. They both just got back from a trip to England & Scotland so I can't wait to hear all about it.

For the FP info Kels just look above!! LOL!! OOOh I would love if you did a PTR and TR about your trip to DL!!! I'm so excited for you, I really want to get there someday!! Sounds like a great trip!!! Aww it sounds like you and your nieces have a great time together!!!

As far as my PTRs and TRs, you can find them in my siggy!! The PTR is for the January trip I'm taking with Leslie!! WOOT WOOT Can't wait!! The other one is my TR from last October (yup I have dropped the ball on that one, but I will finish it LOL ) I have a May trip but I'm not doing a report on it LOL!!!! Me and TRs we have a love hate! (I will do one with Leslie about January though LOL)

In other news we are out of the extended stay and in our friends' house, but we might be here longer than we had planned, we got an email that our closing date may be pushed back until the 18th. OTTV!!!!

YAY Paula!! What an awesome start to our new thread! I can't believe we've come so far in such a short amount of time! And welcome to Kels! I'm sorry I'm behind, been procrastinating with this trip (as usual) but what else is new!

So last minute packing here. Hitting Myrtle Beach, SC with my parents and Blake. I have to stop at work in the am on our way to drop Riley off at the vets for boarding. I'm so sad to leave her, but there's no way we can bring her, the hotel is definitely not pet friendly. Will have to look into more pet friendly options in the future. I am SO ready to be off for a week from work!! Finally my turn!

I'll be popping in and out during the week, my dad's bringing his laptop. So I shall try my best to keep up, although you know me! Miss ya ladies! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Darn it! I just missed you P! How's your weekend going?

I was all focused on finding a hotel for our Disneyland trip. That's right, we are staying near DLR instead of DFs-friends-couch an hour away! We got a military discount for the tickets so I thought I would turn that money into a hotel room! I can't wait!!

Stopping in to say hi since it is raining this morning so we aren't rushing off to get somewhere first thing. We were going to do the water part of Mt Olympus today but will wait a bit longer to see what the weather is going to do.
