As for that Disney hook-up, it would have been really cool if she had given you a free photo for Tower of Terror... then you would have HAD to do it. Maybe the next time something like that will happen!!!!

Then it was onto Rockin Rollar Coaster. I nearly had a panic attack when I saw the cars taking off!

what if i get sick? what if its wayyyyy worse than I remembered. last time i was on this i had just broken up with my BF and was depressed. i'm not depressed now. maybe these fastpasses should be used for good, NOT evil. i see spots. where am i? mommy . . .

Soon, Antss was calming me down, and reminded me that I said that I liked it the last time. oh god. So I stayed in the line. As I climbed in the car, my mouth went dry. I AM STUPID!!!

The little handles you're supposed to hold onto were TINY! So I wrapped my hands around the harness. Meanwhile, Pete is beside trying to make small talk . . . SHUT UP I'M ABOUT TO DIE NEXT TO AN INTERNET STRANGER!!!


I focused on the traffic light, remembering that it would take off when the light turned green. This time I didnt even bother to pray. I was alone, and about to die. . .

Hi Glenda, I'm finally caught up "AGAIN"! Lovin the updates, the pictures and the videos, you are so good at this. My family and I went to WDW on May 29th and returned on June 5th. We just missed you. One of the things I did that was a first for me was ride RnR. I loved it. My daughter and I rode it about three times on our first day at MGM. It is now one of my favorites.

Day 6 - Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

"This is the day the LORD has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!"



On Wednesday, June 10th, my birthday, I woke up IN Disney World! I got on my knees and thanked Jesus for created me, saving me, and keeping me another year! I also thanked Him for being happy. Just think, this time last year I was in love, and had someone to celebrate my bday with me. This year I was alone. But thank God, I wasn't sad, nor regretted my decision to celebrate my bday away from home! I was in DISNEY WORLD!!!


After having breakfast in my room, I headed out in the car to the Magic Kindom. I wore my Cinderella shirt (she's my FAVORITE!), my Tinkerbelle earrings, and 2 Birthday Buttons: one on the front and the other on the back of my shirt! And yes, I even had on a Cast Members badge with my name on it!

Usually I take the monorail from the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) to the park, but I decided to take the Ferry, thinking it would be a more picturesque ride. ((Bare with me, I took a million pics)

There were TONS of people on that Ferry! I'm not fond of boats, so this made me a bit nervous. Yet, I still went to the prime spot - the top of the ferry where I could get a primo view!

As I stood on that Ferry, party of one, taking pics of myself, I was OVERJOYED! It was my birthday, and I was going to my favorite place! I was so glad to be there!

It was a GREAT feeling as I walked onto main street! I wanted to stop and ask everyone, "Do you know it's my Birthday?! Yes, today is my Birthday"!

Even though I felt like a big kid, and wanted to RUN to Fantasy World, I took even more pics!

I even got 2 pics of where Tinkerbelle flies out of the castle for Wishes!

Now as some of you may know, I do NOT pause for parades, nor characters. But, as I was on my way to Fantasy Land, I saw a short line forming. Of course I was thinking, "Those poor people, waiting in line to see college students dressed up in costumes again, in all this HEAT". But then I saw who they were waiting for . . . Cinderella's Step-Mother and Sisters!

I couldn't miss this! Especially since I had on a Cinderella shirt!

I have to admit that I got VERY excited as it neared my turn! It was only then that I regretted that I didnt have someone with me, to ensure that I would get good shots taken of my first character meet. So made sure I got some good shots of them before my turn time came.

Then finally came my turn . . .

I loved it! They harassed me of course. And one of the Step-Sisters even told me that I could get the Cinderella image off my shirt with a little Bleach! HA! I now understand why people do Character Meets!

After leaving the Step-Sisters, DISers Antss and Klofan called me to let me know that they were on their way to MK. I then headed over to Peter Pan, where they would meet me when I got off the ride.

On the way, I noticed a woman who was KNOCKED out, and it was only 10am! I looked around, and saw NO family members with her, and took her pic!

Then it was time to fly around London and Neverland with Peter Pan!

I LOVE this ride, but this would be the first, and LAST time I ever wait over 30minutes for it!


Across from Peter Pan, I noticed that Small World was being refurbished. This was the first time, I'd seen it walled up:

And the same old CM, was the entrance to greet the guests!


Soon, Antss and Klofan met me. We were off for some more fun!

Ooops! Too many images in my last entry . . . .

While in line for Peter Pan, I noticed a woman with a hat I LOVED! I know you all will think it strange, but I loved it!

Now back to Antss and Klofan . . . for my bday, Antss gave me a gift bag that included MANY Disney treats. Among them included: a beach towel, tote bag, yoguart snacks, and an anklet that had my name on it, and a Dory charm, which she made:

Antss (don't be mad that I'm mentioning this), even pitched in and helped me get some of my souvenirs, including this Cinderella figurine that I just HAD to HAVE for my bday!

I thanked Antss while we were there, but I want to take this space to say Thank You again. I really appreciate all the little gifts, and treats during my trip. You really made my trip special!


Now back to the trip . . .

We decided to head over to Thunder Mountain, but the line was LONG! So we got Fast Passes and headed for the Train that goes around the park (can't think of the name of it).

While on the train, the woman behind me saw my bday button, and told me that it was her bday too! She was visiting from Miami.

Strangely enough, I've never been to Toon Town. So that's where we went next. There we went to Minnie and Mickey's House, and did a little shopping!

Then it was onto the Judges Tent . . .

The Judges Tent was really nice! It was nice seeing something for the first time! I even got excited when I saw the lines for the princesses and fairies. For a second I thought that maybe I would be able to meet Cinderella, but the wait was TOO long, and I was NOT willing to wait!

They had so many things to choose from! I wish some of the apparel came in adult sizes. I will say that I was disappointed at how expensive everything was. I can't imagine being able to take my children to Disney World, then get there and can barely afford the things in the gift shop! They HAVE to be able to lower the prices and STILL make a profit!

You know how when you're at Disney World, you see something you KNOW you can't use in your real life, but you HAVE to have it? Well, I came across just that thing, and without hesitation, I bought it!

Yes folks, I bought a 15 Dollar PLASTIC Cinderella Tiara! It took 3 CMs to cut the Tiara off of the cardboard! I stood there for about 15mins, while 3 Adults struggled to release that Tiara, for a 6 Foot Adult Woman!

Finally, with my Tiara in place - now making me a good 7 Feet tall, we headed to Minnie Mouse's House!

By now, it was BLAZING hot. Klofan hadn't eaten any breakfast, and was feeling whooosy, so we headed out of Toon Town, for lunch at the Starlight Cafe.

I love the Mickey Head on the Drains!

That place was CROWDED! But the atmosphere was fun, and the food was good. I think we all got burgers, and left very Full!

After lunch, it was even hotter! We headed towards Main Street and took some pics along the way . . .

And of course we happened upon a parade! This time I stopped though, because of the song that was playing. You know the one . . . you're home doing laundry or trying decifer with frozen block of meat to defrost when you hear the Disney commercial, "It's the time of your life . . .". And you just want to cry because you wish you were there! Well, for the first time, I was hearing the song, and NOT rolling my eyes! I even took some pics!

After moving it, amd shaking it, we headed towards Liberty Square. There was much more fun and a BIG surprise in store . . .

Oh my goodness! I am laughing so hard my sides hurt! I am all caught up and just wish I had gotten over here sooner!

You are a woman after my own heart -- the whole bit about Rock n' Roller Coaster is exactly why I will not ride it -- I don't like those feelings of approaching death!

And your descriptions of Boma -- yes, it is our favorite restaurant on Disney property! (I won't mention that they did indeed have the peanut rice on Thursday night when we went.) I am pretty sure they did anyway -- I consume so much food when I am there that I may be getting it mixed up with something else.

We were in the same parks several times -- Saturday: MK, Sunday: AK, Monday: Epcot, Tuesday: DHS...I kept looking in the background of your photos to see if we were appeared, but no dice.

Man! I guess it's good you didnt see yourself in my pics - to be THAT close and still didnt see each other!
RnR is something everybody should do at least once! HA!
And I'm glad I've found another Boma lover!

i meant to ask you about this earlier. so is this the "gift with purchase" right now at disney? i heard it was a blanket or something. i have a friend who's going in july and i want her to buy me a mickey gnome and i want to give her extra money to get me this if it's still available. do you know how much you have to spend?

Yes, the watch is the "gift" for $15. I THINK you have to spend $40.

Great update! Glad you found a new treat at Boma. We have only been there once and I liked all the different dishes. Trying to remember the anme of the soup I really enjoyed...

Aww man... Too bad about being awakened on your day to sleep in! That would have made me mad, too. How great that you were able to hang out with Candice on her last day. Not only did she show you things that you wouldn't have noticed, but others (i.e. me ) as well. I had no idea there was a koi pond in Japan. Next time I'll look for it. How great y'all got to walk on TSM!! What a great ride. I'm sure it'll be crowded our next visit (next June ), so trying to get on during Fantasmic will be our plan of action!

Definetly try to get on then! You may even be able to ride twice!
And I can't wait to send Disney DVC a lenghty complaint about being awakend!

I feel the same about RNRC. I dunno if I'll get on it again either. I like rides that don't go upside down. I squinted once when I rode it last and then closed my eyes till it was over. LOL.

Well GMax, I think I have read almost all of your trip reports and I had to tell ya I love them all.

And I thought I would let you know that you have given me the courage to try and ride RNR the next time we go...I might have a heart attack in line, but if you can do it, so can I.

HAAAA!!!!! Yes you CAN ride it! Believe me, the sound effects make the take off sound worse than it is. And force yourself to keep your eyes open during the ride. The whole thing is only about 70secs!

Gmax - your report is awesome. I am finally caught up! I have trouble reading reports once they are well established, but yours is worth it. I want to ride EE so bad at night and we didn't do it this trip cause I thought it might freak out my nephew. So waited until day light to ride.

I agree with you - they definately need more EMH's at AK. It's so cool in there at night!
