Just wondering if anyone had or will be having a wedding at Disney outside with gloves on during the warmer months in Florida (May-August). Not sure what I want to do. :confused3

I would say it will probably be very hot in gloves. Could you do fingerless gloves, or maybe lace ones?

We were married in August and yes, it was very hot. We chose the 10am slot for that reason, but it was still very warm. I cannot imagine having had gloves on. I know Summer-Caitlin had purchased fingerless gloves, but I don't think she ended up wearing hers either.

Thanks that helps. I will probably be sweating enough and gloves will just add to it. So I am thinking no gloves

KitKatarina, if you really want to wear gloves, then by all means do so. It's your wedding and you should have it exactly as you want, so don't give up hope just yet.

You can powder or corn starch your hands prior to putting your gloves on. That should help keep the sweat under control on a short-term basis. There are other tricks that folks who wear gloves on a profession basis do in order to make their hands more comfortable in all sorts of weather conditions. Search the 'net to see what comes up.

I would discuss this situation with my doctor to see if he/she had any recommendations regarding how to overcome sweaty hands during a wedding ceremony. The ceremonies in Disney normally run about 15- to 20-minutes in length. That's pretty quick and you might not be as uncomfortable in gloves as you think.

Anyhow, just something to consider in case you really have your heart set on wearing gloves.
