Global Announcement!

Very interesting..
I didn't bookmark it, I'll probaly forget by then...lol
gotta be a hoax..

I think it's a hoax...but wouldn't it be cool if it wasn't!

I think it could John's camera from the Island of Patmos.

I think it is a hoax.

Based upon the last "entry" (today) it looks as if it is a puzzle to be solved.
The sentence about "those people who take things too seriously" and "reading between the lines" and the group that had it "spot on" tell me that there is something to be figured out.
Come on - we are smart people here. Let's try to figure it out!!! :)

it hurt my eyes to read that....ouchie....

I think it's kind of fun but I'm not going to worry about March 8th

If its a hoax, we don't need to bother with it. In the very unlikely event its legit, we'll here more about it from the media on March 8th. Either way, I see no need to bookmark it.

sounds rather Twilight-Zone-ish :p maybe a build up to a book release or something?

Remember the publicity buildup to "IT"? "IT will change your life" "IT will revolutionize personal transportation" "IT will be as big as computers" IT, turned out to be those cool battery operated things they use at Epcot ;)

LOL! I think its a Hoax but its rather interesting anyway. I'll probably forget about it until March though.

This is on Snopes.com as undetermined. I believe it's a hoax or some lead in for a movie or something like that.

From Snopes:

Claim: Web site will reveal an "astounding" discovery to the world on 8 March 2003.
Status: Undetermined.

Origins: 12 October 2002
was the launch date of www.8march2003.com, a mysterious site detailing, in fanciful tabloid style, a tale about the accidental discovery of an abandoned camera, the earth-shaking (but unexplained) revelations disclosed by the development of the film found within it, and stock conspiracy plot elements involving hacked computers, tapped phones, and secret agents, all related by an innocent chronicler of events now forced to live his life on the run as he dodges bad guys and promises to reveal something "astounding" to the world through his web site on 8 March 2003.

What's behind all this -- promotion for an upcoming film, a genuine lunatic, or merely somebody who enjoys yanking people's chains? We don't know yet. The 8march2003.com domain name (and other associated domain names) was registered through a proxy service in order to prevent its being tracked back to someone identifiable, so there's not much to go by other than what's actually displayed on the site (although that hasn't stopped some from engaging in a little Internet sleuthing).

The favorite guess for now -- based on the site's use of words such as 'story' and 'novel' (i.e., "That is why I have chosen to reveal my story and warning in such a novel way"), the enlarged first four letters of the word 'bookmark' (i.e., "Bookmark the appropriate site listed below"), and the instructions for visitors to "read between the lines" (i.e., "There are those who believe it is a hoax - but perhaps that is part of the plan - just read between the lines") -- seems to be that the intent of the site is to generate publicity for a book of the conspiracy/thriller genre to be published next March.

Ooooh, that was interesting to read. Whatever March 8 turns out to be, its intriquing. I bookmarked it. :)

Forgot to add, I ran this by my 12 y.o., and he thinks it has to do with the release of a new video game!

I'm leaning more towards a book.
