Glennbo’s City, Sand, and Savanna PTR - TR Link (pg 73)

Very nicely done. My spreadsheets never look that nice. They always start out organized, but then by the time I add all my "just one more things" it looks completly chaotic and confusing. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Hmmm, I suppose there is a fine line between what things should go onto a spreadsheet and what should just be committed to memory. If you have a lot of Must Do's, then maybe you need to schedule another trip! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the explanation. I spent 5 minutes looking for some kind of key on the spreadsheet to explain that one. :lmao:

Sorry it took you a while, yeah, there's no key on the spreadsheet. I imagine it will enter the vernacular here on the DISboards soon.

:confused3 I don't know a bout the iPhone, but I know you can put a spreadsheet on a Droid... so I guess my suggestion is to get a Droid. :lmao::rotfl2:

What a great suggestion! Oh wait, darned cancellation policy. :headache: ;)

Nice spreadsheet! Very clean and to the point. What? You mean I can't take your ADR? DARN! Now my plans are ruined!

See, I knew I needed to be careful.

Will you be there soon enough for SWW or is it over by then? I'm missing them by ONE weekend when I go in May. I was hoping to see the Storm Troopers on the roof.

No, we'll be there after. Drat. I think back in '05 they extended it 1 additional weekend and that caught the start of our trip, but this one is 2 weekends after it ends, so there's no hope (not even a "help me Obi Wan, you're my only hope") of catching it. Oh well.

I love me a good spred sheet.....spred-sheet....spredsheet..spreadsheet? Obviously, spelling is not one of my gifts.;)

No worries, that's what a Spell Checker is for. Their grate! ;)

I just wish I knew how to make them. When ever I've tried I end up with the urge to throw the computer in the garbage.

I guess that's one benefit I have from working with them nearly every day (spreadsheets, that is). But you should just play around with them -- you can't break anything, except for that "throwing the computer in the garbage" thing. That could get expensive.

Love the spreadsheet! Especially the color coding, make it easier on the eyes.

Thanks! At least my spreadsheets are easy on the eyes. :rotfl2:

I too was lost with the acronym for the Sorcerer's game. Thanks for explaining that one. We saw lots of people playing it in Feb. My college age girls weren't interested in giving it a shot. Maybe next year Danielle will want to try it.

Hopefully it won't be too busy in June...but it might. Yeah, my daughters probably won't play it, but I think James will like it. I showed him the article about it in the latest issue of the DVC magazine "Disney Files".

Nice spreadsheet! Only on the Dis would a bunch of people get that excited about viewing a spreadsheet full of vacation details for someone else! :lmao: I enjoy creating a nice spreadsheet for trips myself. I find it relaxing. I try and explain that to people...no, you don't understand, planning Disney trips is like my version of knitting. Or something. :goodvibes

I use Google docs for mine, so I can view them on my phone (and any other computer with an internet connection) whenever I want. Don't have a clue about iphones, though.

You're better than me! Me and fitted sheets don't get along so well. :headache: I think it's a man thing.

One of the individuals at Dan"s house has a double bed that has a contoured foam mattress for seizure protection ,I finally mastered how to get that fitted sheet on without crawling all over the bed !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

There you have it. The Master Plan for our week at Disney.

Nice work! I'd go on that trip.

My parents have never seen him and I think they’ll really enjoy his show.

Is there anyone who doesn't like Yehaa Bob? :confused3

Anyway, I’ll probably just print out this Master Plan really small, microfiche-small like last time, and carry it in my wallet, unless I can figure out how to put it on Judy’s iPhone…any suggestions?

::yes::

There's a terrific (free) app called TripIt. I have it on my iPod. You sign up for an account on Tripit.com. Then when you make reservations, you forward the reservation confirmation to their robo-email address, which automatically reads the reservation email and adds the information to your itinerary. You open the app on the iPhone (or iPod) and it downloads the info to the phone--so you have all of your ADR times, confirmation numbers, flight numbers, hotel reservations, etc. all in one place. Very handy! You can add "activities" to cover those items from your spreadsheet as well. :thumbsup2

“There you are Igor. What took you so long? Did you get the brain?

No? Well, no matter. I’m working on an even bigger project now! Take a look.”
:lmao:

So maybe it’s like Kim Possible meets Yu-Gi-Oh!. It’s a treasure hunt, with trading cards. I think James might like it, and yeah, I might be interested in helping him.
:yay: I think this sounds like soooo much fun! And Leo isn't remotely interested. Where did I go wrong?!

I'm late and it's probably already been suggested, but here's what I do with my iPhone: email the spreadsheet to her. When she opens the email, the spread sheet will be an attachment. She can then open that and it opens really nice on the iPhone. If she just leaves it there and closes her email app, the next time she opens that app, the spread sheet should still be there, right where she left off.

Yeeha Bob Question: So I'm a tad shy if I'm not in my beer jacket. And I've seen video of that Yeeha Bob show (Actually, I think it was in your TR :lmao:) Do you HAVE to participate or can you just sit in the back and watch? I mean, I know they can't force you into it. But will it be weird if we don't participate? Or are there plenty of people in the back that just watch.

I know! That's one of the things that makes the DIS great! :)

Exactly. It helps get your thoughts and plans in order...you can make sure you're getting everything in that you'd like to see, yet not overdoing any particular day. It makes complete sense!

I use Google docs for mine, so I can view them on my phone (and any other computer with an internet connection) whenever I want. Don't have a clue about iphones, though.

I read somewhere that Google and iPhones don't get along real well.

That's quite a skill. I'm impressed!

One time I ripped a fitted sheet, trying to get it on the mattress. Needless to say, Judy was not happy. :furious:

Nice work! I'd go on that trip.

Thanks. You'll get a somewhat similar one, staying at AKL, later in the summer....but you've gotta plan that one yourself. Unfortunately, I can't have all the fun. ;)

Is there anyone who doesn't like Yehaa Bob? :confused3

Good point. If there is, I haven't met them....and I don't think I want to.

Sounds good. I'll look for it.

Thank you!

Wha?! Maybe you'll have to sell him that you're playing, and you'll let him help...a little.

I mentioned this to her tonight and I got the response I was afraid of -- she doesn't like to use it for e-mail and won't open her e-mail on it because it'll have to load all of the mail since the last time she used it which was around Christmastime. I'm sure she's making it harder than it has to be, but I have an older phone so don't know. :confused3

Well, you know, it's a lounge so they do have beer jackets available for purchase. ;) But no, you don't have to participate...and he's usually pretty busy with that piano...playing it, rocking it, singing away. He might call on some people by name that he's met when he walked around talking to them before the show started, and he's been known to ask a newcomer where they're from. :rolleyes1 Yes, there are plenty of people further back. But it really is fun to let go and participate a little. ::yes::

Hi Glenn! I'm back and trying to catch up - I see I missed a very important document, but it looks great! I love how you took time to explain which category each color referred to. Step away from the crayon box! :rotfl2:

very nice document my friend, but i was disappointed there were no extras on the document, like wake times and such.

or links to dinning menus.

Nice spreadsheet! Good job on disguising the WWoHP as WW, although I was a bit confused when I first saw it. I thought wait Weight Watchers!?!?! Anyway, I see someone already explained about saving the spreadsheet as a pdf in order to see on the iphone, I second that. PDFs are great on the iphone... I do a lot of readings for school on there.

How's the NYC trip planning coming along?

:rotfl: I love the "step away from the crayon box" comment.

The colors really did start out from necessity, since I needed to see different things like what ADRs to book and what meals we needed to think about having groceries for. And I knew I had to explain them....if I didn't I would sure be asked -- you DISers don't miss a thing!

The wake times might be a little overboard. :faint:

That's actually not a bad idea, but since I don't have a smartphone yet, it wouldn't be "live" during the trip. I don't know enough about Judy's phone to get it to work on it, but I could do it for pre-trip planning.

:rotfl2: Yeah, maybe after back-to-back buffets at Boma Wednesday night and then Biergarten Thursday for lunch, we'll need a weigh-in!

Anyway, I see someone already explained about saving the spreadsheet as a pdf in order to see on the iphone, I second that. PDFs are great on the iphone... I do a lot of readings for school on there.

Is there a way to get it on the phone other than e-mail? Judy doesn't like using the phone for e-mail.

How's the NYC trip planning coming along?

Well, I haven't done much, to be honest. The ladies have planned a couple of things they want to do and I need to book them for them, but haven't gotten around to it yet. :guilty:

Well thank goodness someone else has a spreadsheet for their vacation. My DH thinks I'm nuts...but funny how he loves that we have ADRs and a plan so we aren't running amok...

I'm the same way though, I don't plan out the rides. That really depends on what we are in the mood for at that time. Heck, I've had some mornings where all I want to do is have a dole whip and shoot some things  I meant at the Frontierland shooting arcade - not the other guests, never never...

My spreadsheet is a bit different though - I put down all the hours of the parks, emh, evening showtimes. Then I note touring lines crowds and then I mark the parks as green, yellow, or red for each morning/evening (for crowds and best/worst parks). Then at the bottom I put where I think we'll be for all the meals and any adrs. But my family definitely changes plans so I like to know what my alternate options are on my spreadsheet (hence having all the hours and such). I keep it to one page :scared1: I print it out and keep it folded up in my pocket. By the end of the trip, it's pretty rough looking :rotfl:

Wow, I'm all happy talking about spreadsheets - love the DIS :woohoo:
