Glennbo’s City, Sand, and Savanna PTR - TR Link (pg 73)

Well, you know, it's a lounge so they do have beer jackets available for purchase. ;) But no, you don't have to participate...and he's usually pretty busy with that piano...playing it, rocking it, singing away. He might call on some people by name that he's met when he walked around talking to them before the show started, and he's been known to ask a newcomer where they're from. :rolleyes1 Yes, there are plenty of people further back. But it really is fun to let go and participate a little. ::yes::

I'm TOTALLY going to have to add this to my schedule. Sounds like a blast! And who knows...if it's after an Epcot day my beer jacket will probably on with multiple layers underneath! :lmao:
I also have played piano all my life and LOVE watching people play that are better than me :goodvibes

Thanks for the info

I don't really know how else to get a pdf on the phone other than the email. Maybe you can setup a free account on gmail just for trip documents you want to carry along.

Well thank goodness someone else has a spreadsheet for their vacation. My DH thinks I'm nuts...but funny how he loves that we have ADRs and a plan so we aren't running amok...

Good job keeping the family on track Tinkerbellie! My wife appreciates my planning, fortunately. She can't understand a pre-trip report, but I'll let her slide on that one.

I'm the same way though, I don't plan out the rides. That really depends on what we are in the mood for at that time. Heck, I've had some mornings where all I want to do is have a dole whip and shoot some things  I meant at the Frontierland shooting arcade - not the other guests, never never...

:rotfl2: I've come across a few guests that I'd like to see going back and forth at the wrong end of the arcade!

I agree, the day will dictate where exactly we go, and the pace.

My spreadsheet is a bit different though - I put down all the hours of the parks, emh, evening showtimes. Then I note touring lines crowds and then I mark the parks as green, yellow, or red for each morning/evening (for crowds and best/worst parks). Then at the bottom I put where I think we'll be for all the meals and any adrs. But my family definitely changes plans so I like to know what my alternate options are on my spreadsheet (hence having all the hours and such). I keep it to one page :scared1: I print it out and keep it folded up in my pocket. By the end of the trip, it's pretty rough looking :rotfl:

Be careful on Kali River Rapids...it can really do a number on your plan!

As for the park times, I don't bother putting them on because I know that we'll be getting some info. at check-in that I can look at in the room if we want to change it up a little, or hit an extra magic hour. But we can't change it up too much because my ADRs usually follow our park plan.

Wow, I'm all happy talking about spreadsheets - love the DIS :woohoo:

:yay::goodvibes

I'm TOTALLY going to have to add this to my schedule. Sounds like a blast!

You definitely need to, it's a lot of fun. And I think it's really good on the first night -- it gets the Disney-mood going.

And who knows...if it's after an Epcot day my beer jacket will probably on with multiple layers underneath! :lmao:

:rotfl:

They say it's good to dress in layers.

I also have played piano all my life and LOVE watching people play that are better than me :goodvibes

Thanks for the info

You'll be amazed then. Sometimes he does Flight of the Bumblebee and speeds up each time...pretty impressive. He's a really good piano player, but his first priority at the show is for everybody to have fun.

Excellent job Glenn!

Love the spreadsheet!

Thanks GB.

That's a good idea.

I was a few pages behind again. :rolleyes1

But, love your spreadsheet! :thumbsup2 Did someone else tell you how to get a PDF on the iPhone? If not - here is how I do it!

1) Download Evernote app and desktop version (both free). Email it to your Evernote email address. Viola!

2) Email it to yourself, then open the document on your phone, then save it by clicking on the arrow/box icon in the upper right and selecting "Open In..." and it will give you choices. iBooks or Kindle (if you have the app) should be one, then you can access it at anytime through the app you save it into.

I put all my touring plans on my phone now, it makes it really easy!

All caught up again. I think I will be emailing my plans to my phone from now on, so much easier. :goodvibes

Nice spreadsheet. I've got to start on mine. Mine will be nicer with wake-up times, lol!
How do u find out yee haa Bob schedule? Since we r staying at por we
Would love to see him

Late to the party! And it involved a spreadsheet, which as you know is very dear to my heart.

I'm a HUGE dropbox fan, excel reads really well on it on the iphone, I'd keep it in excel and just save it to the drop box, that way you don't have to keep re-pdf'ing it.

That said, I'm an even bigger tripit fan for vacation stuff. I simply forward all my adr ressies to it, my room confirmations and then add in notes. Then, I sync it to my calendar and voila, it's all actually in my calendar app at the right times. Easy peasy and right there with reminders and everything!

Hello! I'm a little late, but wanted to say that I'm enjoying reading your previous TR(s), and am on board for this new trip. popcorn:: It looks like you guys are going to have a great vacation! :goodvibes

Well I am caught up with the chatter again!!! My plan for a spread sheet is simple "Dan make me up a spreadsheet ":rotfl2:

Wow Can I get a bonus point for being third? :scratchin Zero Judys

Because I am working all weekend and have to walk around and pick up trash every 30 minutes? Because I have to work 16 hours each day and take pity on me.
Waaahhhhhh!!! Only 16 hours a day......that means they gave you an 8 hour break!!! How much free time did you need??? :) Think you already got that bonus point with such a lengthy break........ :rolleyes1

No bonus point from Glenn..... :sad1:

All I can say about that long weekend was I was thankful to collapse into bed each night. Some long days. I am taking some extra time off to compensate for that. ::yes::

Nice spreadsheet! I think you and James will like the Sorcerers thingymagig. We didn't do it, but we did notice a lot people doing it. The only thing I thought was a little disappointing was the lines. So, don't watch the people in front of you...unless you want to be disappointed when it is your turn. ;)

Happy Easter to you Glenn and the Family

I hope your day is filled with good things too!

Thanks Brook! I did get a few suggestions and yesterday had some luck with Dropbox. :yay: Your description of Evernote sounds similar. I appreciate your help!

Hey, another dumb question...how do you get your iPhone photos to your PC? I can do it with Dropbox, but didn't know if there was an easier way.

All caught up again. I think I will be emailing my plans to my phone from now on, so much easier. :goodvibes

Yeah, it probably would be even easier if it were my phone, and I was able to mess around with it a little more, but Judy wanted an iPhone and I figured we'd pay for just one more expensive plan now (as opposed to both of us getting one) and I can catch up later.

Nice spreadsheet. I've got to start on mine. Mine will be nicer with wake-up times, lol!

Good luck with that! ;) I don't know that having wake-up times on my spreadsheet would have any influence on when my kids get up! :rotfl2: I can just see it: "C'mon kids, it says here that you're supposed to be in the shower by now!" Yeah, right!

How do u find out yee haa Bob schedule? Since we r staying at por we
Would love to see him

Certainly --> www.yehaabob.com His schedule is in the calendar down at the lower-right portion of the main page. He's at POR on most Wed-Sat evenings. Since you're staying nearby, you MUST see him! You have no excuse. ;)

Late to the party! And it involved a spreadsheet, which as you know is very dear to my heart.

Yes, I've noticed. :lovestruc

I'm a HUGE dropbox fan, excel reads really well on it on the iphone, I'd keep it in excel and just save it to the drop box, that way you don't have to keep re-pdf'ing it.

Thanks Cynthia. A couple of folks have mentioned Dropbox, so we gave it a shot yesterday and got it to work. I successfully sent a pdf from Judy's PC to her phone and vice versa, sent a couple of pictures from her phone to her PC.

We're in business!

Haven't tried that one yet, but it might be good -- the calendar function is something that Judy does like on the phone (as opposed to e-mail).

:welcome: Torrance! Thanks for reading the previous TRs...you'll know all of the "characters" when this next one starts in July. Thanks for letting me know you're reading along, and feel free to join in the banter.

Well I am caught up with the chatter again!!! My plan for a spread sheet is simple "Dan make me up a spreadsheet ":rotfl2:

Wow, that's waaay easier than how I do it. ;):)

Waaahhhhhh!!! Only 16 hours a day......that means they gave you an 8 hour break!!! How much free time did you need??? :) Think you already got that bonus point with such a lengthy break........ :rolleyes1

Exactly. Sounds like she already got a bonus with that 8 hour break. Sleep is overrated.

No bonus point from Glenn..... :sad1:

No, what can I say -- you need to talk to your management about that.

All I can say about that long weekend was I was thankful to collapse into bed each night. Some long days. I am taking some extra time off to compensate for that. ::yes::

Job security at least, I guess. I'm glad you're able to take some time off as compensation.

The only thing I thought was a little disappointing was the lines. So, don't watch the people in front of you...unless you want to be disappointed when it is your turn. ;)

Yeah, somewhere I read mentioned some lines of people. I hadn't really thought about watching the people in front of you...I'm sure James won't be able to resist watching what they do! :rotfl:

Happy Easter to you Glenn and the Family

Thanks Rosie! Happy Easter to you and your family as well!

Hey if working 16 hour days gets a bonus point I want 52 as I work 16hours every Friday !!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Nope, no bonus point....although Pat has been lobbying hard!

The DIS actin' up on you again Rosie?
