Glenda's September 2008 WDW Adventure!

You guys make me nervous. I have a large checked bag each, plus a carry on each, plus two personal items sitting beside the bed in a spare bedroom, all packed and ready to go. The only things I need to add, are cell phone chargers and my ID and credit cards. I have an appointment tomorrow at 8:00am to get my hair cut and if I can get out by 10:00am, plan to also get my nails done tomorrow. If not, I'll do the nails on Friday morning after I take my bigger dog to the kennel. I already have his food, toys, and leash packed. A coworker is picking up my smaller dog from my house Saturday afternoon and I also already have her food and toys packed and her leash sitting on the bar. (Yeah, I had to pack my dogs bags, as well as ours). I also have to go by the post office tomorrow to get my mail stopped.

Jamie, I have had solar nails for years, but recently got tired of just the plain natural pink with white tips. When I went in two weeks ago, I had the tech paint the tips bright pink and then put a line of silver glitter between the pink and natural color. When I go back, I plan on having her switch out the bright pink tips to lime green and keep the line of silver glitter. I haven't decided on my toes yet, but will probably have her paint them to match. She's going to kill me. She tried to talk me out of painting my white tips the last time I was in. She's very possessive of her work and I have to remind her sometimes that they are my nails. I love her though. lol

Rich, have faith you and Adrian will be at Le Cellier Sunday night! We all might want to get there a little early since few of us have ever met and it may take a while to find each other. If I remember, I'll try to wear my white hat with the lime green Mickey on the front and my screen name on the back.

I used some ebags packing cubes and some packing folders. Those things are fantastic. I packed enough clothes for ten days, plus five extra outfits, and two dresses in just one 18" packing folder and a medium packing cube. I then have all my underwear and nightgown in a little slim cube and all my bras in another little slim cube. Everything looks so neat and organized in my bag and I even have quite a bit of space left over.

I have never heard of any of this stuff? Where did you get them from?

I'm glad Scott! Just make sure you double and triple check that you have all your meds b4 you leave. And I'm sure you already know this, BUT, if you feel you MUST leave a park, even if you havent done everything, LEAVE! Aubriee and PennConn both can tell you how I HAD to leave LeCelier early, because I was WIPED out! I couldn't even order dessert, I just left. It was the BEST decision! I was soooo glad when I got back to that room!

Well, I did it -- I got my lime green manicure today It's really wild for me, and I wouldn't do it for anything but Disney. I had her do my pedicure first, using a neutral color base with lime green dots. It looked cool but was way too subtle, so I went ahead with the full green treatment on my fingers

YAY! I was thinking of painting my pinky or thumbs green, and the rest whatever color I wanted!

So who has packed?? I have not. Still trying to figure out what to bring. Whether DH and I should share a carry on or check one bag and have a smaller carry on. What do you guy think? I arrive at 11 so I may have a wait for ME to get my stuff to me and for our room to be ready. I don't know

I think you should each have your own checked and carry-on, so that you will have room to pack the things you buy once there. Should you NOT buy a bunch of stuff, then you can pack one bag with all the clothes you didnt wear, and shoes, then in the other, pack your dirty clothes so when you get home, you wont have to seaparte the clothes. You can roll the suitcase right up to the washing machine! HA!

Yes. I love them! I got my Eagle Creek packing folders in blue, but got the cubes (3 medium and 3 of the slim ones) in grasshopper green. I prefer to think of them as lime green though. I didn't pay that much for them though as ebags was having a sale just before school started and I was able to use a discount coupon I found on the internet. Just type in 'ebags coupons'. OMG I can't believe you girls are getting green manicures! How cute...I don't know if I could do it though!!

Scott, I have inner ear problems and migraines too! Be careful flying...it's not fun when you ear is bothering you. When they first found out I had problems I had vertigo so bad I couldn't even stand up. It lasted for 2 months before it was fully gone (couldn't even drive!). Knock on wood I barely have it anymore...the migraines are another story!!

Tonight I am packing since I am spending tomorrow after work with DBF and we leave Saturday!!

It looks like Hannah is going to hit Georgia/South Carolina on Saturday...maybe she is going to miss us!

And whoever posted that glowtini, I want one!!

So I just checked into my flight on SW. Which means it is 24 hours before we leave
Life has been nuts. Getting the kids ready for us to be gone, printing directions to everything for my Mom(she does not live here and is afraid of getting lost even though I have a GPS system lol), and packing (which I still have not done).

I am so excited I can not stand it!!

I'm already at work, I worked 10 hours Tues, and 9 yesterday so I could leave early today.

Put me on the list of people who couldn't pack without Eagle Creek! I've been using them for about 7 years and have given sets to my kids as gifts. I take along a spare folder for my dirty clothes so they take up the same amount of space as they did on the way
