Annual Magic Key and Ticket Price Increase Effective 10/8

As Disney price increases go, I honestly feared worse. The two lower tiers of MKs didn't go up at all, and the Tier 0 One Day tickets have held firm since 2019. I'm usually pretty critical of greedy price hikes, but this year, with inflation being very bad, they could've been much worse...

That discounted 3-day ticket REALLY is a fantastic deal. It's nice that it's open to all Californians, not just SoCal. I live out of state, so I can't use it, but it's a step in the right direction to not just have offers for SoCal.

Our Inspire passes open for renewal *tomorrow*. We bought them when they went on sale Wednesday 11/6/24 and we activated Saturday 11/9. This turned to be a bad time to purchase because we haven’t been able to make reservations for December. I figured a price increase would be coming, but ouch!

We’re still figuring out what to do, because I really don’t want this renewal date. One option may be to not renew our passes, buy a 2 day ticket for December, use the California resident offer for Jan - May, and then buy new Inspire passes when they go on sale again but not activate them until June. If they don’t go on sale again before then, well, we’ll find something else to do.
