41 Days!

I'm actually getting antsy because that means it will be over soon. I will need to start planning a new trip.. maybe a solo one! (For those that have gone solo before, do you ever feel ripped off because you're paying so much for a hotel room that could fit 4 people and it's just you? )

No!! But I will be honest, I did get a little bored. Part of that I think is because I was depressed about my birthday and didn't want to be around people. I like that the dis has people that want to get together so the whole trip isn't lonely

I guess I am one of the few... who enjoys solo very much!!! and after being on DIS... it is not really as SOLO as it sounds!!!

Yes - I got off at 8am. I got online to order some Crocs for Sept, and check on a few things for this weekend!

So I decided to share this on-going piece of work I've been doing for our Disney plan. (My mom thinks I'm insane, 22 years old going on 45 she says.) She totally didn't know all the stuff with ADRs, etc. etc. and I've pretty much taken this trip under my wing and done all the planning. The black squigglys are just there to remove our confirmation numbers. I made it with Microsoft Visio (a program I have at work.)

Short Backstory: We haven't been in 4 years (and the last time we went was with my father, who is great at making even the most magical moments horrible). My parents split up over the last year, my grandfather passed away, my mother has been diagnosed with a rare eye disease that will eventually cause blindness.. and it's just been tough for all of us, so this trip is a truely needed vacation!

This trip will be with my mother (turns 44 right after the trip) and my younger brother (16! jeesh, I feel old now). So that's my crazy family, and I hope to meet you wonderful Dis-ers while there and hopefully make it a yearly event!

I saw a meet on the 6th mentioned somewhere throughout this thread, so I added it in there to remember. Hope to see you at the airport! I'm not sure yet if we're using ME or renting a car (I have a reservation with Dollar rental). I'm leaning toward the car because we're only there for so few days that I don't want to lose too much time on Disney transportation.

I need some help if anyone is around...I need to come up with a quick Pirate costume for Sunday. I think I have a skirt that will work but what else? I don't want to buy premmade....HELP!

How about a white (or red, if you're like me and as pale as snow so white drowns you) swashbuckler type shirt? Somewhat like the puffy one Jerry Seinfeld wore in that episode when he went on The Today Show.

Don't forget a thick headband/bandana.

Fall stuff should be starting to come out by the first week of August. I remember when I worked @ JCPenney during my last semester of college, the spring stuff came out right after New Year's Day, and the bathing suits were out before February!

I worked in the Children's department and we also had to take care of the Junior's department, never again! Folding all of the clothes on those little toddler tables, Okie Dokie etc. AHHH! And the teenage girls who would throw clothes all over the changing room!
