41 Days!
I'm actually getting antsy because that means it will be over soon. I will need to start planning a new trip.. maybe a solo one! (For those that have gone solo before, do you ever feel ripped off because you're paying so much for a hotel room that could fit 4 people and it's just you?)

I like traveling Solo I've found out that I really like my company. I'm one of my favorite people to hang out with and I rarely piss me off.
I had to choose between having a roommate after college (I graduated in December, my lease with my roommate was up in May), or living on my own but having less (i.e. no television/cable, etc.) and I'm so glad I chose to live on my own. I LOVE ME! Nobody hassles me about sitting around on the computer, I can clean when I want to without picking up after someone else.. and oh yeah.. NOBODY WAKES ME UP AT 6AM WALKING AROUND THE HARDWOOD FLOORS WITH HEELS ON!
No!! But I will be honest, I did get a little bored. Part of that I think is because I was depressed about my birthday and didn't want to be around people. I like that the dis has people that want to get together so the whole trip isn't lonely

I am glad that you Dad is feeling better. That can be a scary time for everyone. It sounds like he is dealing with it well.(not just physically but emotionally)
And to top it off I was diagnosed with Lyme disease yesterday.. I thought I just felt crappy cuz I was sad and stressed about my kitty.
You guys are preaching to the choir!!! I lived with roommates for a year and NEVER AGAIN!!! Our lease was up July 30 but my roommate told our landlord we were leaving early...without checking with me. Between the two roommates they owe me over $500...and it's due today!! haha
Hey all... Just checking in. its been a horrible summer... I had to put my cat to sleep today after the vet soaked me $800 for a feeding tube and meds only to have her die one week later. I am just so sad. I really have never loved anything as much as I loved that cat.
Sorry to be a downer but I need to tell someone. The people in my life say oh it was just a cat.
Vent away!To sum up, let's just say I never expected to be divorced and turning 28...it just wasn't the best birthday. Hopefully this year will be better.

I lost my beloved pekinese 4 1/2 years ago and remember how I cried. Those little fur babies become such a part of our families. My husband tried to get me to get another small dog immediately, but I just couldn't do it. I did finally get a shih tzu, which I love dearly, but had to take the time to grieve for my darling Gizmo, before I was ready to love another pet. A friend of mine lost her 13 y/o cocker/shih tzu mix about two weeks ago. She called into work that night and was still a basket case the next night. I went straight home the morning after she called in and couldn't seem to let go of my precious Maggie. She kept looking at me like I was crazy, but we all talk about our pets here at work, so I felt like I knew my friend's dog and I definitely knew how she was hurting. Again so sorry, to hear about your loss. You'll be in our thoughts.
