Day 5 cont.
9/13
After leaving the UK, thinking that I'd been to all of the countries (sorry Canada, how could I forget my next door neighbor?!), I headed back over the bridge to the water shuttle. Now since I've never been over there before, I felt like Iwas tresspassing, and was looking around nervously for where to go. Then I happened to notice to my left, DISer "Susan was Here" and her friend! Whew! Apparently, they had spoken to me or waved and I didnt even see them! But believe me, I was glad to bump into them again. They told me where to go.
I hopped on the front row of the shuttle, ready for my first trip! The captain was a man, and he was training a woman.
I was REALLY listening just in case I marry a RICH man, and can afford to do that as my full time job!
As the boat entered the area where the Swan and Dolphin, and Beach Resorts were, I wanted to yell and point, "OOOOOOOOHHHH LOOOOK"!! I was sooo excited! They look just like the pics. I'd never seen the Swan and Dolphin up close, and I didnt know that they were located by the Beach resorts.
The boat ride was very nice, and fortunantly, my stop was the last one........
It was time for my first offical DISmeet at the Tower of Terror (TOT)! I was to meet everyone at the ride at 3pm. I got to the park a bit early. As I mentioned before, it was my intention to go back to my room after EPCOT to shower and change into one of my green shirts, but it didnt make sense since MGM was so close to the World Showcase.
When I got to MGM, it was
HOT! So I decided to ride something I said I would never do again - The Great Movie Ride.
I really needed to get out of the heat and kill some time, so I headed in. As I walked in the lobby, I was pleased and surprised to see that they still had the Narnia Coats on display!
As I'm looking at the coats, I hear my name. I turned around and saw EpcotLove and her Fiance' (who's cute btw, but dont tell her I told you). We were so busy talking, they we ended up following a family with a wheelchair to the wrong line!

When we got to the line, her finace' said they're were 3 in the party. EpcotLove said that we were a family now. Awwww!
We chatted through the ride, and I showed her a hidden Mickey in the ride. It was nice riding with them, even though I didnt get my nap on the ride!

But really I couldnt if I wanted to. One of the speakers was right in front of us. ELove even tried to cover it with her hands. I just laughed. Hey, better to have a loud speaker, than to be in the HEAT!!!!
Afterwards, we parted ways, and I got my first Mickey Head ice cream of the trip! Then I walked through the stores while eating it, so I could be in the AC!
I got to the TOT around 2:45. I didnt see anyone by the sign, so I started to walk towards the cement benches outside of the ride's exit. That's when I spotted some DISers!!! My Lime Green Family! There were about 25 of us.
Now let me answer the question I KNOW you all are asking. Were these people weird? Did you regret meeting up with them? What was it like?
Here's the truth: Yes, alot of these people are different from my friends that I hang out with, BUT we all have one HUGE thing in common, DISNEY! So none of them seemed weird to me, and I felt completely comfortable being with them. I didnt come home and tell my "real-life" friends, "Some of those people were crazy, I cant believe I've been chatting with them all this time". It was really, really nice, and fun. So if you have a chance to do a DISmeet, especially at a ride, or restaurant, do it.
Now here's the DISer responsible for starting this . . .
She's standing and smiling on the left with the hat on. Antss!
On the right of her is "Abby's Dad", one of the first faces who greeted me!
We sat around and talked a bit, and tried to figure out who was who. I even got a chance to meet the famous CROC!
And Abby's Dad passed out some Poop! It was candy! So cute! Thank you! (and yes, I'm still saving the candy)
Then the time came for all the riders to get on. They were so excited, and I wish I could be excited to, but I was a designated "stuff-holder". I rode TOT in '98 before they changed it. Then, it did 3 major drops. The only reason I got on, was because I saw a couple getting off who were in their mid 60s. As they were exiting, they looked normal - not shaky nor regretful. So I thought maybe it wasn't that bad. My Mother held my stuff, and I got on. Needless to say, if I hadn't accepted Jesus as my savior, and the only way to God, I had by the end of that ride. I was SOOOOO GLAD when it was over!!!!!
So as they are about to get on (and I wondering how many will end up getting Saved as a result), Antss starts passing out green buttons she made to all the riders. How cute. Then she looks at me. Why, I dont know. OH! But then I remembered that she made some for the stuff holders too. Abby's Dad had one, and now so would I. It would be nice to have a chance to chat with him while everyone's gone.
Antss looks at me and hold out 2 buttons: riders and non riders, and asks me which one do I want. Then everyone actually started to get quiet, like on that old EF Hutton commercial: "When EF Hutton talks, everyone listens". So I give my apologies and say how I've been on before but can't. Then people start to try to convince me: "Oh come on, it's not that bad, it's really smooth, it's not as bad as a rollar coaster, if you can do Everest, you can do this".
Next thing, I know, I black out. On my way out, I can hear ANtss saying "Which button Glenda? Which button Glenda"? Where is Abby's Dad? Help me!!!!!!
