Can anyone tell me who flies direct to Orlando (either SFB or MCO) from Glasgow in May? Or I guess even indirect. Just looking around for prices really.

I kno FlyGlobeSpan and First Choice but anyone else? Virgin doesn't fly in May, I know.

Continental fly indirect via Newark from Glasgow. I'm sure there is also another American company that fly indirect via Philadelphia(might be American Airlines).

I don't think any scheduled airlines fly direct except the holiday charters.

We usually fly direct from Gatwick or Manchester as it usually works out so much cheaper even taking hotel accomodation/car parking into account:)

We have used flyglobespan before and they go direct to Sanford. It was a pretty good basic flight and we liked the small size of sanford airport as well.

Going with BA this year from Aberdeen as we can get flights that stop off in London and then direct to MCO as we are staying onsite and would like to use DME.

One thing that put us off the same flight this year was the cost of getting from Sanford to our resort.
Link below takes you to the pages with the different transfer options.

There is not much option flying out of Scotland I am afraid.

We fly British Airways from Inverness or Aberdeen to Gatwick - that may be an option from Glasgow.

Virgin fly from Manchester - not sure how long the drive is from Glasgow or connecting flight. Virgin can arrange connecting flights from regional airports

Continental fly indirect from Glasgow.

Good luck

Hi
We did the whole continental indirect flight earlier this year (may) and it was good - would recommend it

Immigration at newark was a breeze and meant that when you arrived in Orlando you didnt have to queue - just get the bags and go......it was fabby

i would say though that if you are looking at booking indirect the Continental website was cheapest, and allow yourself at least 2 hrs in newark just incase the immigration queues are long.

Hope this helps

We are flying with Flybe from Aberdeen to Gatwick and then MCO with Virgin.
Booked it all through Virgin to ensure peace of mind in case any delays with flights.
It worked out considerably cheaper than going from Glasgow :)

Thanks guys! The info from Glasgow is almost non-existant!!

My only problem with Continental is I don't think I'd be able to switch in Newark and not add a few days in New York on as I love it there! LOL

I've found direct flights for £450 which I actually think is not bad! Of course if I could get cheaper it'd be even better!

EDIT: Just checked Continental for around the time we want to go and they want £969 each! For indirect! They're havin' a laugh!!! Maybe it's because it's so far out but that just seems ridiculous!

Hi,

I'm flying from Edinburgh via Newark with continental in August. Just booked a few weeks ago. thought I had found a good price around £540 on Continental site but was given a heads up by these boards to check netflights and got flights for £327! :thumbsup2 These are the cheapest flights we've ever had.(spent the savings on staying at RPR though:rotfl:)
Went with with Virgin last year via Manchester but found changing in Newark a few years ago much more straightforward!

Good luck choosing!

We are flying in September with US Airways from Glasgow to Philadelphia then onto Orlando MCO.

They are quite reasonable on price I think eventhough I know it's not a direct flight.
:thumbsup2

We were supposed to be flying with US Airlines in October. They cancelled our flights on Tuesday. We're now flying with BA.

How much have you all paid for flights???

I just checked BA and they're £500 each but for indirect! Would you guys say the £450 each flights I've found for direct would be about right??

Have you tried the BA flights into Tampa - we found it considerably cheaper than flying into MCO and not much longer a drive

Hey,

Was it US Airways you were meant to be flying with? Do you know why the cancelled you flights? I hope they don't cancel mine in September!

Thanks
