on mother's day, gene went to the store. In the parking lot, a lady gave her two dozen roses. Gene asked why. The woman said "it's mothers day!" gene told her she wasnt a mom, and the lady said "everyone's a mom today. I bought the flowers in someone's memory. When you look at them, just say a prayer for emily." emily was gene's mom's. Gmh

today, i went to a store and bought a coat. I suffered severe burns on my face when i was a toddler, and have always been very insecure. As i was leaving the store wearing the coat, i found a note in the pocket from the cashier, who i've never met. It said, "you're beautiful." i read it every day. Gmh

a few months ago, i was at dinner with friends, and we ended up having an emotional talk (mostly about my self-esteem issues) and i cried for about half of dinner. When i got the receipt, the stunning waitress had written something across the top: "you're even beautiful when you cry." gmh

I saw a story on the news today about a man who tried to rob a convenient store. The shop owner subsequently pulled out a rifle and pointed it at the man, who immediately begged for forgiveness. The robber explained he had no food or money for his family. The owner gave the man 40 bucks and bread. GMH

This happened right near me.

I got my first boyfriend at age 16, and soon after I was diagnosed w/ multiple sclerosis. Soon after, I developed a bad limp and have trouble walking. But, he's stayed with me for 5 years. He still takes care of me and tells me I'm beautiful everyday. Now, we're engaged. GMH
