Oh, you are going to love Sci-Fi! Just remember to keep it simple with milkshakes and burgers and enjoy the theming, atmosphere, and cheesy movie clips!!!

i loved ohana. Sad we didnt get to watch the fireworks at mk from there:guilty::sad1:. I miss disney!!!

That's our plan... keep it simple! Zach & Tim both love milkshakes so they'll be happy for sure! I can't wait to check it out.

I'm glad to hear that you liked Ohana! That seems to be the consensus...

We probably won't watch the firworks from the Poly, but we'll be heading back to MK to see them after dinner. :thumbsup2

Day 5 - Thursday 3/3:

Today is an open morning, with Epcot in the evening, including Illuminations.

Original plan was Le Cellier for dinner. Nothing was showing up online after 2:45pm... :headache: Out of curiosity I checked 3/1 & 3/2 - again nothing available after 2:45pm! Hmmm... :scratchin I poked around the DIS a little and discovered that some people have had luck calling so at 7am I called & was able to get 4:30pm. I could have gotten a little later, but we are early eaters and unless it's a buffet, I like to try to be seated around 4:30 so we can be eating around 5pm. :thumbsup2

We are really on the fence about this ADR though... even if the menu stays the same and the prices don't go way up, I don't know that we want to do Signature Dining... I know they expect kids at Disney but ours are particularly loud & hyper - which makes relaxing for a nice dinner difficult - especially if we know people are looking for a Signature Dining experience.

So until we get this sorted out - and as of now I'm leaning toward Le Cellier for lunch on our first Epcot day (Monday 2/28) - we need to make an ADR for Plan B… Les Chefs de France! I made an extra dinner ADR at 4:30 – early enough for us to catch Remy on his 5:20 rounds. This will be new for us!

Up next: ADRs - Day 6... but first I hope to get our MK goals posted for the fall trip. :thumbsup2

I think Chefs would be a great alternative to Le Cellier, and the chance for the boys to see Remy would be really fun!

Today we are at 26 days until my fall trip with Laura!! (Less than four weeks to go!!) I can't wait!! I'm so excited!! I spent a good part of the day yesterday making a book for Laura. It has all of our travel information & itinerary, ADRs, menus, information about our resort, each park, DTD & the Boardwalk area in general. I also included maps of each park and a map of all of WDW. Tim was making fun of me, but Laura really liked it. :thumbsup2 I'm really looking forward to playing tour guide - in a non-commando kind of way of course! ;)

I can't figure out how to post a picture of some of the pages without actually taking a photo but I'll work on it... I'd like to share some of the pages with you. :goodvibes

Laura & I got together last night to go see The Switch. It was really cute! While we were out we talked about transportation to/from the airport. We decided that for such a short trip it would probably be easier to leave a car at the airport for four days & split the $50ish we'll pay for parking. Unless Nancy (DMIL) offers to drive us, or offers to come stay with the kids so Tim can drive us, we'll just plan to drive ourselves. We need to head to the airport around 5:30 and will get home around 10:30.

On to our Magic Kingdom Park Goals for the fall trip:

Definite:
• Opening Ceremony
• Town Square Exposition Hall
• Pirates of the Caribbean
• The Hall of Presidents
• The Haunted Mansion
• Mickey’s PhilharMagic
• Carousel of Progress
• Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor
• Tomorrowland Transit Authority

Maybe:
• Town Square Exposition Hall
• WDW Railroad
• Swiss Family Tree House
• Jungle Cruise
• Big Thunder Mountain RR
• Liberty Square Riverboat
• Peter Pan
• Winnie the Pooh
• Snow White’s Scary Adventures
• Buzz Lightyear
• Main Street Electrical Parade – definitely if we are at MK on Saturday night.
• Wishes - again... if we are there Saturday night.

No:
• It’s a Small World – CLOSED :sad2:
• Tea Cups – CLOSED… but I wouldn’t have ridden anyways. ;)

What am I missing? I feel like I've missed something important...

Up next: Day 6 ADRs for Feb/March family trip & specific touring plans for the fall trip

I think Chefs would be a great alternative to Le Cellier, and the chance for the boys to see Remy would be really fun!

I'm trying to keep things new, which is a challenge after last year's trip... I think new dining is a good way to do that. And Remy should be fun! :thumbsup2

You can scan your pages that you made Laura and upload them that way.

What are you planning on doing at the Main St Expo Hall??

Day 4 - Wednesday 3/2:
Today is our DHS day. I booked Sci Fi Dine-in for lunch at 11:30am. :thumbsup2 Another first for us.

I promise this will get more interesting tomorrow...

we had great fun there too last March...it's quite cool and actually quiet, though Nathan did wear his sound cancelling headphones, we had a car toward the back if that helped...kim too not everyone get's a car there are some tables...but hopefully you are going during a slower season shouldn't be an issue...Nathan was very content to sit long through this TS too w/ the movie reels, but once he realized it had looped...have to ck my notes hong long that lasted...he was ready to move on...I bet this will really work for the boys :thumbsup2

I think Chefs would be a great alternative to Le Cellier, and the chance for the boys to see Remy would be really fun!

haven't been to either...but I agree w/ Jackie

Id' love to see too...I am going to make a "Welcome Folder" for Matt's parents too for our trip...they have been before, but this will give them (mostly my MIL) a good idea of what we'll be doing etc...speaking of that can you get me two sets of maps I think that is what I requested :confused3 TIA

I have no idea :confused3 looks like you have everything?? tiki room? peoplemover?

What are you planning on doing at the Main St Expo Hall??

why is it listed twice on both musts and if times?

You can scan your pages that you made Laura and upload them that way.

What are you planning on doing at the Main St Expo Hall??

They are already in my computer - I did them on Publisher (and just printed menus off allears)... Do I need to scan them to make them photos to upload to photobucket? Or can I somehow convert the publisher files to something I can post? :confused3

I just want to check out Expo Hall... never been in there. Not something I would probably take the time to do with the kids.

Yes - you requested two sets of maps! No problemo! :thumbsup2

I'm hoping we get a car at Sci Fi... but I'm not telling the kids anything about it until we get there.

Peoplemover is there... TTA. Tiki room... I'll have to think about that one. I guess I didn't intend to list EVERY attraction... I have yeses & maybes, and noted the refurbs on the no list.

Typo on Expo Hall being listed twice. I want to go check it out so it was on my "yes" list, but considering it is right at the entrance, we'll have to wait until our exit to check it out... I don't want to take too much time getting into the park so we can start collecting FPs & take advantage of the early hours to get in as many rides as possible before the crowds descend on the park. So it got moved to my maybe list...

Day 6 - Friday 3/4:

Our plans for today are Animal Kingdom in the morning & DHS for dinner and a couple rides in the evening. DHS closes at 7pm so we won't have too much time in the park. We may or may not keep this ADR, depending on timiming... but I've made a 5pm dinner ADR at Mama Melrose's! This is also a first for us. :thumbsup2

I know you can save Publisher files as jpegs, and some versions can be saved as pdf's.

I read on a TR (I think it was Glennbo123's new one) that a CM at Sci-Fi told him that if you have an ADR you are guarenteed a car. The tables are for walk-ups. Ask on the restuarant boards...I'm sure someone over there knows.

pirate::banana: <----- these are from Liam "sticker time" he says

you should be able to save/export your publisher file as a pdf no problem! Also as a jpeg or tif I think...

I've never been in the Expo Hall. I don't even know what's in it! Very curious now.

Plans are looking good!

That would be very cool if we are guaranteed a car! I'll definitely look around the boards for more info.

Thanks to Liam for the stickers! Zach used to love the smilies!

I'm very curious about Expo Hall too... We may only peek inside then move on, but I want to check it out.

Yay - Thanks for the tips. I saved it as a jpg & uploaded it to photobucket! Photobucket didn't seem to like it as a pdf. Here's the front cover... I'll share more later. :thumbsup2

First I want to share a really cool thing I discovered here on the DIS... the phone numbers to the phone booths in the UK!

Right Booth 407-827-9861

Left Booth 407-827-9862

Center Booth 407-827-9863

I've added them to my contacts & will see if I can call the boys during our Feb/March trip! So cool! :thumbsup2

Onto the last day of our ADRs...

Day 7 - Saturday, March 5th:

Today is an Epcot am/MK pm for MSEP. Original plan was for Chefs of France for lunch. I made a 12:00 ADR – we should be able to catch Remy on his 12:30 rounds. Now if we go to Chefs on 3/3 and Le Cellier on 2/28 that leaves us without Teppan Edo. So I made an extra Teppan Edo lunch ADR for today.

If anyone hears about the new Le Cellier menu, please let me know! I’d like to get these extra ADRs squared away. And actually, we may just move forward with Plan B before I even see a menu. :confused3

I also made a back up Chef Mickey’s for tonight. I just haven’t had enough time to really think through (and talk through with Tim) whether we can get to AK & Chef Mickey’s on our check-in day. If I don’t have enough time at the condo on arrival day to get organized, I’ll be playing catch up all week!

I'm not making any ADRs for our departure day, Sunday, March 6th so that's it! Here's a summary of the whole trip:

Sunday 2/27:
• Chef Mickey’s 5:45pm

Monday 2/28:
• Teppan Edo lunch ADR* (or Saturday 3/5)12:00pm (Plan A)
• Le Cellier lunch at 11:30am (Plan B)

Tuesday 3/1:
• Crystal Palace 8:05am breakfast
• Ohana dinner 5:00 pm

Wednesday 3/2:
• Sci Fi Dine In lunch 11:30am

Thursday 3/3:
• Le Cellier 4:30pm (Plan A)
• Les Chefs of France dinner 4:30pm (Remy at 5:20) (Plan B)

Friday 3/4:
• Mama Melrose’s dinner 5:00pm

Saturday 3/5:
• Les Chefs lunch 12:00 (Plan A)
• Teppan Edo lunch 12:00 (Plan B)
• Chef Mickey’s dinner at 5:00pm (backup plan)

In 24 days Laura & I will be on our flight to Orlando!! The next 3+ weeks will definitely be dedicated to the rest of the planning details for the fall trip! Up next: Day by day itineraries & some more pictures from the Disney booklet I made for Laura.

Final ADRs look good, Amy! Love the cover for your trip plans! Most of all, hurray for three and a half weeks until your trip!!!

Final ADRs look good, Amy! Love the cover for your trip plans! Most of all, hurray for three and a half weeks until your trip!!!

Thanks Jackie!! It's kind of crazy to be planning so many trips as once! I'm so excited that the first one is just a few weeks away!

Yay for lazy Sunday mornings... or Monday mornings on a holiday weekend! :goodvibes After a nice breakfast of pancakes, bacon & sausage, I shared all of the ADRs with Tim & we decided we could make Chef Mickey's work for our first night. So I cancelled the back-up ADR at the end of the week. :thumbsup2

We also decided that regardless of any menu changes, we're better off to eat at Le Cellier for lunch than for dinner, especially once they go Signature. We are still a bit undecided on whether we want to eat there before or after the change over so we have two Le Cellier ADRs & two Teppan Edo ADRs - lunch on Monday 2/28 & lunch on Saturday 3/5. These are my only duplicate ADRs - I promise! :flower3:

I also changes Chefs of France from 4:30 to 4:50. Remy makes his last rounds at 5:20. If we are seated right at 4:30 and we are at the end of his rounds, we could be finished before he reaches our table. I thik 4:50 is a safer bet. We shouldn't have any problem being seated by 5:20. ;)

I know you've all heard this before on the DISboards, but here is our final (or more likely current) itinerary with ADRs:

Sunday 2/27:
• Chef Mickey’s 5:45pm

This will be our arrival day in Orlando. We'll try to check in at the condo then head to Animal Kingdom. If we weren't able to check in earlier, we'll check in before heading to the Contemporary to dine with Mickey.

Monday 2/28:
• Teppan Edo lunch ADR 12:00pm
• Le Cellier lunch at 11:30am

Today will be our Epcot day. Crowds should be low since the Flower & Garden Festival starts later in the week. We'll arrive at rope drop and stay through sometime in the afternoon. We'll have an easy night at the resort - which will also allow me to finish getting organized and Tim can get groceries if we didn't have time to do so the day before.

Tuesday 3/1:
• Crystal Palace 8:05am breakfast
• Ohana dinner 5:00 pm

Today will be our Magic Kingdom day. We'll arrive before park opening for Crystal Palace! We'll definitely be taking a mid-day break because we have dinner at 'Ohana followed by a return to the park for Wishes.

Wednesday 3/2:
• Sci Fi Dine In lunch 11:30am

This is our DHS day. We'll aim for rope drop, but won't stress about it if we don't make it there too early since we will have had a late night the night before.

Thursday 3/3:
• Les Chefs de France dinner 4:50pm (Remy at 5:20)

We will have an open morning this day. Hang out at the resort & swim? Waterpark if it's warm enough? Disney Quest? Make up some park time that got rained out? Our late afternoon/evening will be back at Epcot for dinner & Illuminations. The Flower & Garden Festival will be underway so we'll try to take in the atmosphere.

Friday 3/4:
• Mama Melrose’s dinner 5:00pm

We'll plan to hit Animal Kingdom this morning & DHS in the late afternoon evening, most likely taking a mid-day break. (Morning plans for Thursday & Friday are interchangeable based on weather, need for rest, etc.)

Saturday 3/5:
• Les Chefs lunch 12:00
• Teppan Edo lunch 12:00

We'll spend the morning & lunch at Epcot and the evening at Magic Kingdom, including the parade (seems as though MSEP will still be there). We'll take a mid-day break.

Sunday 3/6:

This is our departure day. We need to be heading to the airport around 1pm so we'll pack up the car first thing in the morning, check out & head to a park for a few hours. We've always left super early so park time on departure day will be another first for us!

There you have it! We shouldn't be making any changes to this plan - at least not for a while. I'm happy with this itinerary & the ADRs... with only two duplicates! :thumbsup2

Up next: Really... I'll move past 2011 ADRs... :rolleyes1

I'll second that yay for lazy Monday mornings :yay: Finally have the time to get caught up over here! I completely understand why you are the queen of ADRs ;) Your final (current) plans are great!

Love the front cover of your binder and going all the way back to the boys first day of school.... love their crazy face pic! :rotfl:
