Give me an AP & look what happens - 2 for 1 PTR!! NEW 3/11 p.63 TR Link

Typo on Expo Hall being listed twice. I want to go check it out so it was on my "yes" list, but considering it is right at the entrance, we'll have to wait until our exit to check it out... I don't want to take too much time getting into the park so we can start collecting FPs & take advantage of the early hours to get in as many rides as possible before the crowds descend on the park. So it got moved to my maybe list...

get it...makes sense :thumbsup2

First I want to share a really cool thing I discovered here on the DIS... the phone numbers to the phone booths in the UK!

Right Booth 407-827-9861

Left Booth 407-827-9862

Center Booth 407-827-9863

I've added them to my contacts & will see if I can call the boys during our Feb/March trip! So cool! :thumbsup2

very cool I didn't know that...jotted them down too

ADR's look good...how are you keeping it all straight ;) can't wait to see more of the booklet!

J~

the plans look great! A lot to keep straight. That is SOOO cool about the phone booths, I can't wait to see if that works!

I would LOVE to see the look on a kids face if they are in the booth and you call it!

Love all your plans, I'm not sure if I read all the updates from where I had left off, but I think I'm pretty caught up. I'm so excited for you and your first trip being so close :cool1::banana:

I'll second that yay for lazy Monday mornings :yay: Finally have the time to get caught up over here! I completely understand why you are the queen of ADRs ;) Your final (current) plans are great!

Love the front cover of your binder and going all the way back to the boys first day of school.... love their crazy face pic! :rotfl:

I don't know what my problem is with the ADRs... I get all stressed out that I'm going to make a mistake & then not be able to get what I want later. So I end up with a bunch of extras. I'm really proud of myself for having a fairly nailed down plan with only two duplicates. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the compliments! The boys always want to do a crazy face picture.

Is it my lack of sleep but I do not see my fav here-Splash Mtn.

Oooo... don't know how I missed that one... I think it will be a maybe. If it weren't for the wet factor, it would be a yes. I'll leave it up to Laura. ;)

I'll work on the booklet pictures this week. Aren't those phone numbers cool! :thumbsup2 We need to chat soon... 12 more school days until my trip! I need to firm up my shopping list with your special requests. ;)

Soo cool! I can't wait to try them out! You know I'll have the camera ready when we call the kids! :thumbsup2

Thanks Jessica!! I'm getting super excited too! Tim heads down to the Tampa area to visit his brother in 10 days. As soon as he gets back I'll be in full trip preparation mode!

plans look great. who/what is remy?:teacher:

Thanks!! Have you seen Ratatouille? Remy is the rat. He visits the tables at Les Chefs de France.

the rat was the first thing that popped into my head when i heard remy but i couldnt get the concept through my head that they had a rat-costumed person. I called the center phone booth to see if it worked... and it did.a british dude answered and said he was in disney world.;) and at the end when we were saying our goodbyes he said cheers instead of the american bye.:lmao: it was cool and hilariuse (sp?) at the same time.

Remy is an audio-animatronic thing... Someone rolls around a table that he is sitting on top of!

That's so funny that you called a phone booth & talked to someone at Disney! Too cool! :thumbsup2

Yes we'll have to find a morning to talk or text...email me

12 days WOW

Big event at school this weekend that Laura & I are responsible for... then a few days of catch up next week. Should be clear sailing after that. We'll set up a time to talksoon.

Actually 16 school days left... I must have miscounted... It was 17 when I said 12... I'm so excited I skipped a week! Oops... :rolleyes1

I have already posted my goals for each of the parks, but I have been working on touring plans for each day. I don't want to go all commando, but we have a lot to see in a short time. I thought a touring plan would at least give us a sense of direction & a guideline of what order to see attractions to maximize our time and avoid zigging & zagging.

Day One (Thursday 9/30) - Arrival Day/DHS Day:

• Arrive at MCO 10:20am
• Grab an early lunch at MCO?
• ME to BWI – arrive by 12:00
• Check in or store luggage - grab lunch?
• Head to DHS – walk or boat (arrive around 1pm)
• Laura needs to buy her park ticket
• Check for TSM FPs
• Ride the Great Movie Ride
• Take the Backlot Tour
• Visit the Animation Studio
• See Muppet Vision 3-D
• 50s PTC at 4:35pm
• 5:45 Beauty & The Beast (there may be a 7pm show??)
• Single Rider RnRC? (Amy only - Laura watch street performers)
• See anything we missed before dinner
• Ride TSM before/after Fantasmic
• Get snacks
• Fantasmic - 8pm or 9:30pm
• Back to BWI

I hope this sounds doable... Touringplans has this day rated as a crowd level of 2 but it is a Fantasmic night so crowds may be up a bit. :confused3

I think you'll be surprised with just how much you can get done when the crowd levels are low. I think your TP sounds good! I purposely didn't make specific park plans this trip, though. I hope I don't regret it. It was too much for me last trip. I had a hard time enjoying myself because I was too concerned with getting things crossed off the list! :confused3

I usually don't like a very specific touring plan, especially when I have more than one day per park. I much prefer a list of goals and a general idea of where to start in each park. You should be fine since you have more time than I do. I mostly want to avoid zig zagging & missing shows because I didn't plan things out. Planning to travel with a friend is so different from what I'm used to!

I think you will find that you can get so much done when it is just two adults! I was amazed when it was just Charles and I this past October.

I'd say eat lunch at the resort or grab some yummies at SRC (after grabbing those TSM FP's)...looks good to have various plans in case you encounter delays at the airport or something...

the above two may be your only issue w/ timing it right to be done w/ dinner and get over to the theatre to get a good seat :thumbsup2 looks like a real nice day to start w/

J~

my vote would be to grab lunch from the Boardwalk bakery and then hop on the boat.

PTC/BAB might be tougher. You can usually walk right into BAB but PTC isn't the fastest meal ever. It will just depend on you getting seated right away I'd think but is possible...

:thumbsup2 That's my hope! I remember being able to get a lot done when I visited with my mom in 2008, but we also encountered a lot of rain so I attributed the lack of crowds to the weather.

Originally the Steve Soares website listed BAB with a 7pm showing on Thursday nights. I thought that would be perfect. But when I checked last week, that had been removed from his schedule. The current show times are: 11:30am, 12:45, 2:00, 4:00 & 5:45pm. Obviously we won't make the 11:30am or 12:45pm showings. 4:00 won't work because we won't be out in time for dinner. 5:45 is going to be tight... but 2:00 could work if we get our butts right over there after checking for TSM FPs... :confused3

Boardwalk Bakery sounds good. I'd normally plan to hit the food court, but since we won't have one that won't work. Airport lunch may be the quickest but BB would be good too. :thumbsup2

I'm not a very religious person so pixie dust is more my style, but DMIL, Nancy, is very Catholic & I know she'd appreciate the prayers...

Nancy's mother (GG or Great Gramma who you all "met" during my last TR when we visited her before arriving at WDW), fell and broke her hip yesterday. She was supposed to have surgery today but her pre-op physical uncovered complications that will prevent her from having a spinal & therefore need general anesthesia. Surgery is risky for a 90 year old... Anesthesia is even more risky... And to top it off, she has a little fluid in her lungs which could easily turn to pneumonia with the surgery. :sad1:

Nancy & her brother (a snowbird who summers in CT) flew down to Florida today to be with GG. They are meeting with the doctor tomorrow morning. The only thing we really know now is that GG needs the surgery sometime within the next week.

It's been a crazy couple of days... Starting with receiving the news about GG yesterday afternoon to making Nancy's travel plans, a school meeting this morning for a major event Laura & I are planning at school this Sunday, a meeting regarding Zachary's new insurance we are trying to get, then driving Nancy to the airport. Plus Alex starts trumpet lessons next week so I had to go rent his trumpet at school tonight. He wanted to play Tuba but they don't offer those lessons... Of course the little guy wants the biggest instrument!

I'll keep you posted on GG. Thanks in advance for your pixie dust & prayers! :goodvibes

Pixie dust and prayers coming your way. You may have already had one, but if not, a good cry helps too. I had one the other day and I feel like I can now tackle everything I need to get done (for now at least). Prayers for GG, and a big hug and pixie dust for all your projects and life. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Hugs Amy for all that is going on! Poor GG, I hope they are making her comfortable as she awaits surgery.

The meeting for Zach came quick huh?
