Girls Trip Revisited-- Final Day (Part 3) -- August 14

Poor Cookie...but she looks good considering all her medical issues. I m sure DaddyMark felt worse than Cookie.

Hi Kathy,

So, we are Facebook friends, but I don't believe I've followed a trip report of yours.....:sad2:

So, I've read through the entire thing at work today :rolleyes1 and love all of your pics! I remember following your countdown to the trip/wedding, and it's nice to put some details with the Facebook stuff.

Those girls are super cute, I cannot wait to get my three year old's face painted!! A tradition that will be started in February!

Poor puppy, hopefully the worst is over for Cookie.

Poor Cookie! Glad she is okay at least, though that must have been scary when it happened!!

She whimpers a little bit and not sure if it is pain or it itches and she can't get to it. It knocked 10 years off my life with all the blood.

Poor Cookie and even poorer Mark I bet he felt awful!!:hug:See Mark is not like the Boys around her , he doesn't pick on me as shal we say Marv, Dan and Glenn do !!!:rolleyes1:rotfl2:And I am soooo innocent :rotfl2: I loved the face painting !! You looked very intent on Buzz !!!:rotfl2:

Yes, Mark was very upset and he's been babying her ever since. And the funny thing is that it seems as if she blames me because I'm the evil one that drove the car to the vet! Mark would never pick on sweet you, Rosie.

Wow, I can't believe it's your last day already! And the girls HAVE grown!! Oh my is right! It's funny because I was looking at your pics and I thought "I wonder when Cayley got her face paint done..." and turns out it was the next day! :rotfl2:

When I reread my update at Epcot I knew I screwed up. Well, I wasn't even going to do a TR, so I figure I'm allowed. :lmao::lmao:

Poor Cookie! They look so sad in the Cone of Shame! I feel Mark's pain though... Grooming animals is not easy!

Mark is getting a cone of shame too! No, it is not. I have no idea why she jerked her tail; but I can tell you he won't be trimming her back end again!

Looking forward to the rest of your day!

Coming up soon.

I am so sorry about all that you are going through with your mom. :(

Thanks, Ann.

Your day sure was a wet one!!! At least that kept the crowds down, yes?

The crowds weren't too bad at Epcot (well except for Soarin and Test Track).

OH my! The girls have grown. I didn't realize that it has been about year and a half since your last girls trip!!!

Yes, it had been awhile since the trip. By the time Mark sees them in December, it will have been almost 27 months since he saw them.

Looks like someone got their face painted between having a dessert and going to Mexico! But then... she has it on the last day. I am confused. :rotfl: which is easy to do.

You probably missed my explanation. I screwed up my days. The Epcot update should have been our last night together.

Oh no! Poor Cookie! How scary!!!

It was very scary.

I think the movie in France is still the only one I haven't seen yet. Last time I tried to make it there it was already closed. :guilty:

You should make an effort...you can rest your weary legs.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people don't catch on when we try to spread a little pixie dust. Sounds like you would have been more than justified taking them back and looking for someone else to share them with!

Ask Mary...I was NOT a happy person at all.

Love this face!!! :rotfl:

She's just too darn cute for words.

And that cupcake looks DELISH!!!!! :woohoo:

I don't know...she wouldn't share. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

She might have been posing for Mr. Mark, but this is actually a pretty good look for Avery! :thumbsup2

She looks too old...she looks like a teenager and I'm not ready for that and I know Mary is definitely NOT ready for that.

Wow, the girls are really growing, and changing so much! :goodvibes

Yes they are. You should see their first day of school pics.

That man really loves opening himself up to criticism......... :rolleyes1

Hey, watch it there or I'll be banning you from my threads!

Poor Cookie........so glad she survived her little ordeal with Mr. Mark! :scared:

I jokingly said to him: "the dog is dying and you are trying to kill her." I'd much rather she go peacefully and not bleed to death.

It still cracks me up every time I see your pictures with the bowtie! :rotfl2:

It wasn't the biggest sticker I could find when I started.

Hard to believe your trip is getting so close! I hope you guys have a wonderful anniversary celebration!!! :cheer2:

Two days (as I am no longer counting today).

Cute pics! :goodvibes

Thank you.

:lmao::rotfl2: Cool! A time-traveling TR!

I shouldn't have explained it and seen which one of you guys figured it out first!

:scared1:

Tell me about it....I almost passed out.

I do not like the Cone of Shame.

I don't either and think that is the reason Mark should be wearing one too!

You sure about that?:confused3:rotfl:

At this point, no. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Whew...I was worried they had painted a big bow tie on his face.:rotfl2:

It was such a cute picture...I hated hiding his face. :(

Little Mermaid ride?:confused3

Ummmmm...nope! :rotfl2:

Works for me! You put those updates up while I was just a might busy so I’ll be reading and commenting on them backwards anyway.
:lmao:

Well, then I am happy I could oblige. :)

“I do not like the cone of shame…”; poor Cookie (glad that she’s healing)…
No Mickey Bars! Poor Mark…

Poor Mark should be wearing a cone with Cookie and suffering right along with her!

It’s a harsh reality, but there are actually one or two things more important than Disney (but only one or two mind you).

Yes, and I guess our youngest son's wedding was one of them.

Good planning on his part :thumbsup2

Yes it was.

A/C, a decent cushioned seat and no crowd…
Even if you just sleep through the film, that’s a good pace to rest the weary.

Very true; and I've been known to doze in there on occasion.

Ungrateful tourists… at Disney… for shame…
:sad2:

I just don't get it; these were well desired Fastpasses that anyone else would have probably been jumping up and down for. :confused3

Well… desert is always in order (just not always justifiable)

I often think dessert should be eaten with every meal, including snacks. :)

Afternoon rain in Florida? Unheard of.
Y’all timed your return to the resort rather well.

And I'm not liking the sound of the rain they are predicting for next week.

Or not…
If I remember correctly, this is all out of order anyway.
Not to mention, you’ll be compelled to go back with them sometime in the near
(“Search your feelings… you know it to be true.”)

Now you have me all the more confused. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well, at least you're writing updates, even if they're not in the right order. That's better than some. :rolleyes1

Yes, I think Barry and Tim forgot what the DIS is.

Poor Cookie!

She looked so sad all night Saturday...my poor baby.

Poor Mark!!! It was just an accident. And it was half her fault. She's the one who jerked. I guess she's going to be awfully furry from now on, because it doesn't seem like it is in Mark's best interest to ever cut her hair again. :rotfl2:

Yes, it was an accident and he felt bad. But it will be a long time, if ever, before he is trying to trim that rear area. I will trim her face, etc.

Looks like a good time at the MK. I like that you tried to recreate past photos of the girls like the one at Spaceship Earth (whichever night that was, I'm confused at this point) and the one at Adventureland. :thumbsup2

It was Mark's idea (I'll give him credit for that) to get past pictures that I took of the girls to see how they'd grown. I don't think he was expecting that much of a growth spurt.

Poor Cookie...but she looks good considering all her medical issues. I m sure DaddyMark felt worse than Cookie.

She was just very forlorn. She got her face hair cut BEFORE Mark tried the other end. She is just the sweetest thing.

Aww, your poor pup! I hope she isn't too shamed by her cone.

I don't think she is shamed, but she sure hates it. We take it off when she eats because it is easier for her, but she sure fights us trying to put it back on.

Hi Kathy,

So, we are Facebook friends, but I don't believe I've followed a trip report of yours.....:sad2:

:wave2: Sheresa, thank you for joining. I'm delighted to have you join us.

So, I've read through the entire thing at work today :rolleyes1 and love all of your pics! I remember following your countdown to the trip/wedding, and it's nice to put some details with the Facebook stuff.

You did a lot of reading then, and I thank you for that. It was a hectic time, but it did me good to get away from that last week of wedding planning and hang with my girls.

Those girls are super cute, I cannot wait to get my three year old's face painted!! A tradition that will be started in February!

They just love face painting. Just make sure your three year old realizes no swimming on that day; Cayley forgot about that.

Poor puppy, hopefully the worst is over for Cookie.

I hope so too. She has so many health issues at 15-1/2; we watch her closely for any sign that she is suffering. But so far she is still our lovey-dovey lapdog.

So after reaching Adventureland and taking a photo of the girls similar to the first girls trip, we moved on to here:

Mary, Judy and Cameron started the walk back to Main Street for our lunch ADR, while Ryan, Sam, Avery, Cayley and I went here:

After we rode, Big Thunder Mountain, we knew we had to get going to head to lunch. As it turns out, we still had some fastpasses left, but not for everyone. Avery didn't want to ride again, so she and I headed to meet Mary, etc., while Ryan took the Sam and Cayley back on BTMR. On the way to our lunch, Avery and I stopped for a photopass picture:

We then met Mary, etc., here:

While we waited, I went and got fastpasses for Judy and her family to see Mickey Mouse.

We were afraid the others would not get there in time and they wouldn't seat us, but we just told them they were in the restroom and they sat us:

Some of our food (which I did not like mine):

After lunch, we went across the street to the Confectionary to get some candy.

After that, we waited while Judy and her group got their pictures taken with Mickey (I think we might have gone to the Emporium to do some shopping).

When Judy and group came back, we decided to take a monorail to Epcot. But then something that had not happened this entire trip happened:

Up next, our afternoon and last evening. Which isn't really our last evening since I screwed up the order of this trip and already gave you the last evening. If you can figure it all out, I'll eat a Mickey bar for you when I get there in less than 72 hours.

The picture of you with Avery is adorable. I'm glad I cancelled my ADR for Tony's. A lot of bad reviews.

Sorry you didn't like Tony's!!I have always enjoyed my food , I have had the steak and the shrimp pasta ,both were good an the Tiramusu was heavenly!!!!
Kahy I am s glad you did this TR !!! Can't wait for the next ones !!!!

Poor Cookie- that sounds like it was some extra stress that you didn't need.

Fun day at the MK!

I love the face painting- what I can see and the peeks on the hidden face.

Great times enjoying some classics- Peter Pan, Buzz, Pirates and Big Thunder.

Sorry the meal at Tony's didn't blow you away. We almost ate there once, but cancelled because my son wasn't feeling well (and that was before the meal)

So sorry about the rain. That s*cks! But what a fantastic picture!!!

Here's something for you:

If I don't make it back here before your trip, I hope you have a wonderful, magical time!

Wanted to wish you and Mark and very happy, restful, pixie dust filled trip.

Have a blast, safe travels and I look forward to hearing all about it.

Oh my goodness that is A LOT of rain!

Tony's is so hit or miss.... I have had really good meals there that have made me go back only to have a really bad one. Doesn't make sense to me how the food can be soooo good one time and soooo bad then next. :confused3

So sorry about Cookie, that poor girl has had a tough go lately. She did not look at all thrilled in the picture with the cone around her head and a bandaged tail. I feel for Mark as well; I'm sure he was a wreck the entire time you were heading to the vet's. :guilty:

I agree with you about Tony's, I did not care for my only visit there a few years ago. It was so bad I will not give it another try. I look forward to hopefully another TR when you get back from your visit to WDW in a couple of days. Be safe and have fun my friend. ;)

That doesn't look like rain, it looks like hail. Wow! Great picture!

I have just loved reading this TR and seeing you, Mary, and the girls in real life was so awesome. Who knows if our paths will ever cross again, but I sure hope so.

Cayley's face painting is adorable.

Thanks for an awesome trip report!

We were afraid the others would not get there in time and they wouldn't seat us, but we just told them they were in the restroom and they sat us
You lied to a CM??? :sad2: :rolleyes1

Some of our food (which I did not like mine)
Seems to be a common review of Tony's. Although I'd still like to eat there sometime just to check it out. :confused3

After lunch, we went across the street to the Confectionary to get some candy.
Always a great idea! :thumbsup2

Well, it isn't exactly fun to be caught in a downpour, but that is a really cool picture. Main Street looks like a ghost town.

So after reaching Adventureland and taking a photo of the girls similar to the first girls trip, we moved on to here:

Well, that was a good call.

Mary, Judy and Cameron started the walk back to Main Street for our lunch ADR, while Ryan, Sam, Avery, Cayley and I went here:

Also a good call. Boy, you really know your way around this place. :rotfl:

We were afraid the others would not get there in time and they wouldn't seat us, but we just told them they were in the restroom and they sat us:

"This lady's trying the bathroom story on us. Make sure she gets the crappy entree."

:rolleyes1

Some of our food (which I did not like mine):

Don't mess with the CM's, that's all I'm saying.:rotfl2:

Ok, seriously, sorry you didn't enjoy it. I liked the one meal I had there but I've definitely seen some poor reviews in the past for Tony's.

When Judy and group came back, we decided to take a monorail to Epcot. But then something that had not happened this entire trip happened:

Holy rain, Batman!

Kathy, have a great trip! I hope you guys have a blast.

Oh. That's some rain... some serious rain!!!

i love the bow ties on the faces that's just fun, But i do believe that is Wall-E on his face? looks adorable!!!

POOR COOKIE! I hope she is ok? Surgery? on a cut?!?! how bad was it?
poor Mark having to wear that cone of shame through the Disney parks... then again wouldn't THAT be something for the characters to sign!!! he has to have a sign to go with it. like this:
