Girls Trip Revisited-- Final Day (Part 3) -- August 14

Oh no! Sorry Tony's was less than appetizing. I'm due to a sucky meal there anytime now since I've been lucky so far. (That or my definition of tasty is different than others!)

It's hard to believe that you started this TR nearly 45 days ago and poof here we are at your next trip. Great timing by the way!

Poor Cookie. I'm sure she's feeling the extra love and attention and poor Mark too. :goodvibes

I love rain but when it looks like in your photo at MK that can be a plan changer!

Excited to count-down two more days with you!! :cheer2:

:woohoo: for rides on Pirates and BTMRR!!!

With the face paint, and her eyes looking like that with the white, Cayley looks like a totally different person............and much older! :worried:

On the way to our lunch, Avery and I stopped for a photopass picture:

Love this picture and the excited smile on Avery's face being with Ms. Kat!!! :goodvibes

We then met Mary, etc., here:

Some of our food (which I did not like mine):

I have thought about trying Tony's so many times, and then I remember all of the hit and miss reviews I see on the DIS and I decide maybe I will try it "another time."

After lunch, we went across the street to the Confectionary to get some candy.

What better way to forget about a disappointing meal than with a trip to the candy shop............either that or dessert!

When Judy and group came back, we decided to take a monorail to Epcot. But then something that had not happened this entire trip happened:

Up next, our afternoon and last evening. Which isn't really our last evening since I screwed up the order of this trip and already gave you the last evening. If you can figure it all out, I'll eat a Mickey bar for you when I get there in less than 72 hours.
:confused3 .... :scratchin .... ... :faint: I guess you won't be eating one for me then............... :guilty:

Hope you and Mark have a most wonderful and magical trip!!! pixiedust:

I'll come back and do replies later. For now, I want to finish the TR.

After the torrential rain which we waited out for a good 45 minutes or more under the railroad station, we made our way back through some drizzle to the bus back to BCV. And, wouldn't you know it, the rain stopped pretty much after we got there.

I'm not sure when this happened, but at some point, we ran into our DIS friends, Mary Ellen (MEK) and Miss Anita (wigdoutmom...I'm not sure I spelled that right) and got a group shot:

We had to take a different elevator up to our room because ours was broke. On the way, we had to pass the quiet pool where Avery found her friends again:

Now this part of the update actually happened Tuesday night and the Epcot evening actually happened this evening, but I'm not going back and changing it...I have to pack and leave for Disney in less than 48 hours. :lmao::lmao:

We went to the Boardwalk for dinner:

We hit the shops on the way:

After we ordered our food from the stand on the Boardwalk, the kids went to watch some of the entertainment while we waited for the food:

After dinner, everyone got a dessert from the Boardwalk Bakery. Some of the items that were offered:

Some of what was purchased:

We then started our slow walk back to the Beach Club:

Judy and family went up to their room and we went to ours so the girls could change into their swimsuits and go to the quiet pool:

A quick recap: We all had a blast, despite the "slowness" of part of the trip. I gather Mary and the girls don't mind me tagging along since I've been invited back for next year in late May/early June. :) I was not overly in love with the Beach Club Villas. Had we had better bus service, friendlier CM's and cappucinos, I might have felt differently; but I am in no hurry to return (we love OKW and AKL and would choose those every time over BCV). It was hot and it was crowded, but if had been just the four of us (or the four of us with Heather and her girls), we could have gotten more done as we know how to tour the parks, etc.

Loved our Be Our Guest meal, wasn't happy with Tony's.

Thanks for reading along and posting. I'm glad I was able to finish this before I leave. I hope you'll all follow the next TR when I get back. I'll probably start it a week or so after Labor Day once I get caught up at work, etc.

You had a great "last" evening. Those desserts look so yummy.

I will definitely be back for your next TR! Can't wait to read all about your time in Disney World and Nickiland for your anniversary. :goodvibes

Great wrap up!

Have a fantastic trip and can't wait to read all about it!

Poor little doggie!

The face paintings are always so beautiful. I kind of want one for myself...

Woah! That's a LOT of rain!!! And a very cool picture of it all.

Ugh, more pictures of sweets. Stop posting pictures of sweets! I've been craving chocolate and such e.v.e.r.y. evening, but I must resist because if I eat some then I won't sleep. It all looks soooooo goooooooood!!!

Loved this report. So jealous of all your trips....I am lucky o go every year or two. But we do love Disney. Sorry you had a bad meal at Tony...I have always liked it there. We have never eaten at the Plaza, maybe sometime. I know you leave tomorrow so have a great trip and I'll see you on your next TR.

finally got caught up Miss Kathy!

so happy you had such a fun trip with Mary and the girls! so many great photos of you all and your many DISmeets!

sorry to hear about Cookies tail, hope she is healing up quickly!

hope you and Mark have a wonderful anniversary trip to WDW! safe travels!

Loved the final days.
I was a little disappointed at BC this year, myself. Haven't started a TR yet. Stuck on the title. :lmao: But I will probably get one started shortly (just in time for my return-which I am anxiously awaiting). Still love how close the resort is to everything, but the CMs weren't nearly as nice for us either. And the resort was starting to look really worn. And maybe it had something to do with our non-view. I just didn't have the same "I love it" vibe that I did in 2008.

always funny to see the ducks in the pool, but then i wonder if it is worse to swim in there with the duck poo, or the kids pee in the pool.

:rotfl:

That was so lucky that we ran into each other again. On a whim I decided to text Anita to see if they were around and fortunately they were, so Denny and I headed over to say "hello".

I hope our paths cross again on a future Disney trip. :goodvibes

I was wondering if you would be heading back again next year. I honestly knew that June was going to be hot, so for some reason it didn't bother me that much this year. As long as it cools down some in the evening I am usually OK.

Sorry you didn't love BCV. I was surprised that I didn't love it as much as I thought I would, but I have only stayed there once. I found I like the BWV better. Hope you get a chance to stay there at some point.

I certainly understand your love for OKW. I tried to get it for a couple days in October, but it is totally booked. No shock there.

Thanks again for a great TR. And have an awesome time!

:) It's so fun to meet our DIS friends in WDW.

An evening swim is nice way to finish out a Disney day. :thumbsup2

Safe travels - and have a magical time!!! pixiedust:

Sounds like a wonderful, mellow night at the Boardwalk and swimming at the resort.

Thanks for the report. It was great!

Have a fantastic trip!

I hate the cutting in lines. I want to hurt the person. LOL. Line rage I guess.
I really need to try CHH.
The cellphone pics were great.
The same for the photopass pics. LOL
Nice you met Mary Ellen.
Nice sending a pic to Mark to make him jealous. LOL
Sorry it rained.
Poor Cookie. Bad Mark. LOl
WOW! That pic of the rain in Magic Kingdom.
Ooh Anita and Mary Ellen. Nice run in.
Great report and pics.
I know you are there as I saw on FB your airport pics so I cannot wait for the next one.

Playing catch up yet again but hey, at least I make an appearance unlike those who shall not be named...

Cookie! Sweet baby! Oh how awful! Mark must have felt terrible, even though it was clearly an accident. I don't foresee dog grooming in his future though.;) I'm the one in charge of cutting our little dog's nails and one time I cut too close to the quick and it bled like you wouldn't believe. I felt so badly about it and now I cringe every time I trim her nails!

Love the out of order updates Kathy! It looks like a great trip, despite the deluge here and there. Those little girlies are too cute and it's so nice that you get to spend trips with them.

Swimming is pretty much how end our trips too. Sorry Tony's was a disappointment though. I've heard mixed reviews but have yet to try it. Why didn't you eat at the Plaza again??

I hope you and Mark are enjoying your trip. According to facebook, you just arrived today, woo hoo! Have fun.:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

So glad you had a nice trip and that you will be going back for another!

I also hope you are having a good time there now!!!

great report. Hope you're enjoying Disney

Well I am glad you are going again next year with Mary and the girl's !!!Seeing as I am getting an AP in October I am trying to figure out how many trips I can afford between then and 2014:rotfl2:
