Good Morning!

So did anyone get up early and go shopping?

I did some shopping online yesterday. I got a digital camera for $119 normally $199. I like that the stores offer a lot of the items online, so much nicer shopping in my PJ's compared to standing in line. :rotfl:

Hello, hello! Wake up, ladies!! Is everyone still in a turkey induced coma?? Or are you still out shopping til you drop? :cool1:

We had a nice Thanksgiving. Simple, quiet, casual, but good enough for us. Last night though I was just way too tired to even think about hitting the stores. I wanted to, but it just wasn't happening. I did get up early this morning though and Noelle and I went to Target, JCPenney, and Walmart.

I could not believe how empty the stores were. Target was eerily quiet. No one was in the aisles except extra employees standing around talking while pretending to straighten this or that. lol I guess most people hit all the stores at midnight, then went on home to bed. :confused3
At all three stores we went to, we walked right up to the check out with no wait.

I can't decide if I should get the Xbox with the Kinect for the kids. :confused3 We have a Playstation, a Wii, and two Xboxes already (one for Adam, one for the girls). I'm not sure we need another gaming system in this house. That Disneyland game is about the only reason I'd even consider it, and I'm probably more interested in it than the kids. Oh well. Probably pass on that.

Anyway, hope y'all scored some great shopping deals!!! :thumbsup2 Try to rest up, and enjoy those turkey leftovers. :goodvibes

Hi Sarah! I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. :) Good score on the camera. :thumbsup2

We bought mainly clothing/shoes. No electronics this time. I bought some boots for Noelle that were normally $100 for $19.99. I just love a good bargain. They have high heeled wedges though so hopefully she doesn't twist her ankle in them!!

I had to work today but it's pretty slow so I'm going to do some more online shopping after lunch. :rolleyes1

Hope you all had a nice day yesterday.

I did a lot of online shopping yesterday and a little bit this morning. I wasn't going for anything major so it was a lot easier to shop by computer. Everywhere I shopped offered free shipping and I had coupon codes too.

Today I'm cleaning the house, taking the kids to the park and relaxing. Tomorrow it will be time to put up our Christmas decorations.

I hope you all have a nice day.

I hope everyone had a good day yesterday!

I actually had a pretty awesome morning at work and it was easily the best Black Friday I have had with Target and I think a lot of it had to do with opening at midnight. I even managed to do a little shopping for things after I got off at 8:15 - success! Now I'm just napping the day away.

Beth - what time did you make it to Target? I wouldn't say our store was 'dead' when I left but after the initial rush died down and we got the "long" aisle weaving lines down (1 for the front lanes and 1 for electronic purchases) the store was much much less crowded and all of our team members were able to work on cleaning up areas. The store actually looked pretty put together when I left which was a first. It's normally been trashed when I get off my opening shift.

I did my shopping online too, but I did go to Kohls and Ulta today since I had some good coupons ;).

Our Thanksgiving was pretty uneventful considering I went to families . Devin had practice yesterday morning so no sleeping in for me and he has a game tonight. It's going to be on TV if anyone in Southern California wants to watch.

We also had a little dog show up at our house last night that was freezing to death so we took him in for the night:

He had a collar from the Animal shelter, but they were closed. We had to say goodbye to him this morning. He was so good with Laila and I considered keeping him .

Our Disneyland AP's expired and we got 2 more trips in the last couple Sundays :guilty:. I won't be renewing them until the end of January or until the ladies trip .

Here's a couple pics from our last 2 visits:

I posted more pictures on FB, but I still have a few more to load.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving.

Glad you had a nice relaxing day. :) We'll be putting up our decorations sometime this weekend as well.

We got there around 5:45 a.m.
I could not believe how empty it was. And everything was still put together. Nothing was "trashed". :confused3 All I could think of was that the crowds descended like locust, grabbed what they needed, and jammed outta there. The cashiers were literally just standing around chatting, and in the parking lot, we got a spot right near the entrance. I liked it, but it almost didn't feel like Black Friday without the 30 minute check out wait. LOL

How cool. If I was in SoCal, I'd watch! :cheer2:
Love the photos. Thanks for sharing. :goodvibes

We had a little dog show up here, terrified, on 4th of July several years ago. Let him sleep in the garage overnight then went door to door the next day, trying to find his owner. He wouldn't eat cat food, so I ran to WalMart to get some dog kibble and when I got back, he had gone under my back fence and the skanky neighbors behind me had him chained to their BBQ. They left him out there for several days in 100+ degree weather. One day, a friend came to visit and asked me what was up with the dog on my front porch. There he was, with the chain still attached to his collar. My friend thought he was adorable, so I told him to TAKE THE DOG HOME. Their vet checked him for a chip and he didn't have one. He now sleeps under the covers in their bed. Spoiled little monster.

LOVE the pics, especially the one with DUG!

Just noticed that my ticker shows just NINETY DAYS to DivaFest! WOO HOO!

Morning ladies! Last day of our vacation. We had a great time but I am looking forward to going home. There is something about your own bed!! Nope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and Black Friday! Ours was spent at Chitzen Itza - official seventh wonder of the world. Incredible Mayan ruins with so much history

And yeah for only 3 months till the Diva trip!!

Bridget,
Sounds like a wonderful trip. There are so many places I want to go, and that is one of them. Very cool.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Mine had a bit of the usual family drama. We had been scheduled to go to my Mom's house, but the Sunday before Thanksgiving, my nephew broke his collar bone. Since the pain made a 3 hour car trip out of the question, we switched the gathering to my house last minute. So I scrambled and got all the groceries and cleaned the house, in the midst of my youngest son's nerf war birthday party for 10 little boys. Then, Thanksgiving morning, my Mom called and she had a fight with her signicant other and cancelled. My poor son was in tears, as he had really been looking forward to his Grandma coming over. Not sure why, since she never actually comes. I lied to him and told him that she was sick. I worked very hard to let go of the anger at my very disfunctional mother and to stay focused on all that I have to be thankful for, which is a lot. Anyhow, turned out to be a nice day with just my sister and her family. And I cooked the best turkey ever. Really, it was fabulous. Moist and flavorful. A big surprise, since in general I find most of the time the turkey is not that great:thumbsup2

Then our black friday experience was really fun. I took my 15 year old out for the first time, and that was a hoot. He could not believe the crowds. We did get some really great deals, mostly toys for the little one for xmas. We also went to the outlet mall and I bought out the Gymboree store of size 12 stuff. A huge bag for $70! When I got home, dh went out to just a few stores but he did get me a doorbuster present. A blackberry playbook. I have been having so much fun on it! At 8, I drug myself out of bed again and I took my little one out to the mall and bought a new pair of boots. It was very exciting to find a pair in wide widths and on sale! We also got a $10 toaster and crock pot. We had lunch at the Nordstrom cafe, got Nathan's feet measured (4.5 wide and barney rubble thick) made a $5.00 build a bear gingerbread man, stopped off at he pokemon center in the mall and in general just goofed off.

Overall I would call it a success. Now to clean the house and put up the Xmas decorations. Monday I start training for my new Real Estate job. I am looking forward to a professional life again. Maybe if I sell enough, I can justify taking the funds and going on the ladies trip:)

Talk to you all later!
Tracey

Oooohhh--do tell! I've been looking at tablets---does this one run Word?

I hope the real estate job gives you the resources to come on the trip!

and pooh on Grandma!

Hey girls!

I am still recovering from our Thanksgiving, which was SO MUCH FUN and relaxing but for some reason I'm lazy today. I might put up some decorations today, but mostly need to work on moving things from the old to the new pantry area.

Other than that it's a quiet weekend--tomorrow night I'm going to Brandy's for a second Thanksgiving dinner!

Happy Saturday Girls!!!!

I'm so excited to see that we are under 90 days to the trip - makes it feel like it's just around the corner. :cool1:

I hope everyone had a great holiday. I was going to have Thanksgiving at my house with my mom but had a last minute change of plans. We ended up crashing my friend's dinner. It was fun but I missed see my mom. She'll probably be up for Christmas now instead.

Capri - I don't know where you find your graphics but they are always great. I can't wait until the Meet -n-Greet. You've definately got my attention.

Bridget - I'd love to see the photos from your trip. Are you going to post some on Facebook or here?

Katie - Your pictures of you and Laila are just adorable. I love the Dug picture.

I can't remember who posted, either Trudi or Laurie, but I loved the Maxine cartoons. She cracks me up.

And to all the ladies that braved Black Friday - congrats! I wish I was able to go out early but I can't leave my daughter home alone at that time and when I asked her if she wanted to go she looked at my like I was crazy. Maybe next year. I hope you all got great deals.

My friend and I are heading into San Fran next weekend to do some Christmas shopping and see the lights. It should be a great time.

Take Care and enjoy the next couple of days!!

Hello everyone! I am so happy because my Thanksgiving decorations are down and my Christmas trees are up! :cool1: Now I can relax.

Hey, I've been there! I found it hot and boring. :rotfl2: But I was around 19 when I went so that's probably why. lol Glad you enjoyed it.

Yikes, sound hectic to say the least! Good luck on the real estate training, hope it works out for you to go on the trip!!

That was me. I adore Maxine. She tells it like it is. ;)

:cool1: You guys are going to have so much fun!!!! :cool1:

Happy Thanksgiving (a bit late!) Diva's! I started camping out at Target at 6pm Thursday night with chair, footrest, blankets, snacks, books, and hot chocolate on hand. I was 9th in line (until the people in front of me let their friends join them, but I was still in the first 30 people that were let into the store - and I did have two friends join me around 9.) I scored big on the ipod touch for DH8 and it came with a $40 gift card which I used to buy the 5-count suitcase set they had on sale for $39. My friend also had a coupon for 10% off an ipod plus a $15 gift card with your purchase of $150 or more. I still have $13 left to spend! :woohoo: We ended up staying out till 6am!!!

Two of those hours were spent in the Kohls line since I HAD to have an 82-piece set of flatware (we have had hand-me-downs that are slowly going missing). Around hour 1, I saw a candle and picked it up to smell - when I removed the lid, it broke, cutting my hand. My friend and the couple behind us were trying to use it as an excuse to cut the line, but employees just ignored us as they walked by. A shard of glass had landed in my hoodie pocket and I ended up stabbing my hand again a few minutes later. We hit up Toy's R Us afterwards where there was no line, then Old Navy (nothing to find), Best Buy (took me forever to find the Friends DVDS), and then to the mall where the Disney Store was a dissapointment, but we did fill our bellies at Rubios. 4th meal of nachos grande at 5am was fantastic! I slept until 1pm, showered, and then we hit up Goodwill for their 50% off sale (and scored tons of Babysitter's Club books - I am trying to rebuild the collection I had as a kid - and almost done!) Phew! It was a successful shopping weekend for me.

Helllllo Divas!

I had a great Thanksgiving. We had it at our house. Eight of us all together, and even with the mom-in-law around, it wasn't too bad. Luckily "Marie" (secret nickname for her) took the boys to see a movie while the turkey was cooking and so she was out of my hair for about 3 hours. And then she only made a few snarky comments all evening. :thumbsup2

Did NOT go out to shop. I'm not a big shopper even in the best of circumstances, so during Black Friday weekend - forget it. I try to do most of my shopping online. I did make a major score on Amazon (barely) for an Xbox 360 with Kinect and a $50 credit for $199 during one of their lightning deals. :woohoo:

Also, a few weeks ago we were adopted by a stray cat and she's turning out to be such a great pet. We love her! She has the fluffiest tail.

Our appraisal corporation (ERC Appraisals, Inc.) has become swamped with FHA work through a new partnership we have with an appraising company in Seattle, and from the looks of it, we're going to get even busier and continue like that for several years. So on Monday, I start my paid training as a real estate appraiser apprentice! Very excited to get started and to be earning a paycheck. YAY! :cool1:

Tracey - Wow, do we have a lot in common or what - haha! Both of us start our training in a real estate field on Monday.:goodvibes Oh my gosh, I'm crossing fingers and toes that you'll be able to come on the ladies trip! :wizard:

Jodi - So happy to hear you're excited about the Meet and Greet! It's going to be a lot of fun. I get most of the graphics I post from photobucket. I swear, you can find almost anything there. :thumbsup2

Katie - Love your pictures! So cute. And poor little puppy. I wonder how the little guy wandered away from the Animal shelter of all places? :confused3

Lisa and Bridget - Whooo hoooo for 90....errrrrr.....89 days until the Diva trip! :cheer2:

Jen - You are a serious shopping diva! :worship:

Cheryl, Jessica, Sarah, and Steph - Hey pretty ladies, miss you all.

Beth - Hmmmmmm, this whole not coming thing. I think not.

And know I'm forgetting a bunch of others who I wanted to respond too, darn it! Well, for now just know that I send you all BIG HUGS! :grouphug:
