Happy Halloween ladies!! Just a quick Hi and Bye from me! Does anyone have any plans for the night?

I'm going to take Laila trick or treating but only to a few houses since I'm not feeling too hot . But I did dress up for work today. I'm trying to win a Target gift card and my odds are pretty good since only one other person in my department dressed up. I'll post a pic of my costume later.

My kids are so slow getting up this morning. I'd let them sleep in a bit if I didn't work at 9am. We had a fun time out last night, my Dad came with us which has become a nice tradition for him and the kids. Now our countdown to Disney starts

Trick or treating seems to be dying out here...We didn't see very many kids out in the neighbourhood last night. Still had fun with my little Wizard, and my Greek Goddess went off TOT'ing with a friend from school.

I told them when I called to book that I was with the "DisDiva" group and got a $99 rate, which is $30 less than the current rate on their website for those dates.

Good morning, everyone!

I've been up since early working on cleaning up the Halloween mess! But I'm done! I've got all Halloween put away, Thanksgiving is up, dishes washes, laundry washing, and I am about to go start the sign-up thread for the Christmas stocking exchange.

I got the majority of Halloween put away last night (of course mine fills a small rubbermaid tote, unlike yours, Beth!) and started looking for where I stashed Christmas stuff last year. Storage is a premium here, so not everything goes back where it came out of, especially Christmas stuff since other things will move into the empty storage spaces over the 6 weeks. LOL

Waiting patiently for the stocking exchange thread. Really. Patiently. I promise.

Happy November 1st everyone!

I'm on day 5 of a yucky cold, but that's life I suppose. Beth, I would love some of your energy right now!

I carved a Mike Wazowski pumpkin (thanks Monica for the supplies and artwork to carve it!) and it turned out ok, but I probably shouldn't carve pumpkins while I'm sick anymore. I will try to post a picture soon.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day, and for those in my neck of the woods, don't blow away on this blustery day!

I signed up but totally am clueless about it......I did that with twitter to a year ago....rarely go on it.

Yay for a new exchange.....hoping to do it, but Dec 6th I'll be in DL!!! So thinking hard about whether or not timing is right to participate.

Hope you feel better Wendy.....our entire family has this nasty cold & hacking....yucko!!!

I tell you the last month has been a rollercoaster: First Michayla puts her hand thru a window, then breaks off the top of her feeding button so I end up spending an entire day at the childrens hospital on a Sunday....because obviously no one knows anything on the weekends. She gets the right button placed on the 20th during a sedated echo. We're given the news that instead of an easy patch job on the hole in her heart, she'll have to have open heart surgery because the hole is too close to a major valve. Sat. night (exactly 3 wks from when she broke the button & 9 days after getting a new one put in), she pulls the entire thing out! Imagine pulling a dime thru a pencil eraser.....yup, that's what she did!! Took her up to the childrens hospital this morning & got a new one put in again. Heavy sigh.......she's pretty sore & understandably so. But thru all this drama with the 4 yr old......we got our adoption credit & found out yesterday we were approved for the rental house we wanted. So we will be moving on the 13th!!!! Can't wait to get out of this neighborhood.....mostly rentals & no one watches their kids. It's mayhem daily & personal property is up for grabs with these kids. So glad to be moving to a small town & starting over!

Hey Wendy! Sorry to hear you are still sick. I hate those long lingering colds. I feel like I've been on the verge of getting sick ever since I got back from DL. Just tired a lot, but so far no actual illness. It's annoying.

Here I am on Halloween. I had so much fun scaring the kids. We had 180 trick or treaters. Up 17 from last year. I got everything put away last night. I'm not exactly excited to decorate for Christmas.

Having a set opening date for the group is really just something silly and fun to do. We can change it if all packages arrive earlier. Or if someone will be gone during that time they are certainly welcome to either take their package with them to open while away, open early, or open late. No real rules, just a good time.

I was also saddened by the new of Vicki going back into the hospital.

I am not looking forward to decorating for Christmas either. Gosh, I am such a Scrooge. But honestly, if I didn't have kids, I doubt I'd even bother with a tree. Although, this is coming from the same person who last year put up 4 trees and the year before I put up 5!
Clearly I have a total love/hate relationship with the holiday!

Sure! We can. If there is enough interest. I was actually thinking of that yesterday when I was doing the sign-ups for the stocking exchange.

Should I can make a post and start collecting addresses? Even if we only get a couple, I enjoy getting Christmas cards.
