Holy cow. I just looked at flights for the Diva trip in February..... Um, Southwest's fares have almost DOUBLED. Used to be I could fly from Sac to Orange for $69. Now it's $109. EVERY day. Not just on Sunday. EEK!

I take that back. $123 to fly home Sunday.

Stupid airfare. It's crazy what they charge.

Hello everyone!!!

I am back from an over nighter to the Golden Nugget with my oldest daughter Noelle and a friend of hers. Just us girls. It was nice. They had a great deal, rooms were $42 and included free buffet for all of us. We just kicked back at the awesome pool with a water slide that goes through the shark tank. It was a quickie, but it was nice and relaxing and just what I needed.

Hi ladies,

I've had something rather exciting come up that may stop me from making it to the Girls only trip in Feb, but I am still working on it.

I was one of the 150 people invited to the NASATweetup on Sept 7 & 8 to the GRAIL launch in Florida.

I wasn't planning on a trip before February, but this is a once in a lifetime thing I can't miss.

I am working on how I can make this all work out, money wise and still make it to meet you all in February.

MIKE GOT OFFERED A MEAT MANAGER JOB IN CORVALLIS, OR!!! Nothing worked out in Cali or Az.......but we're pretty excited that he's getting a promotion & will look to move 40 mins south of where we are now!!

I've been looking too and haven't seen any deals come up yet. JetBlue flies into Long Beach and I've flown them before. Not as many flights but cheaper than Southwest right now. I think the flights are $88 each way. They seem to have a lot of specials too. There is a good group that flies out of Sacramento now so I think they should give us a discount!

If any good rates come up, make sure to post so we can all jump on the bandwagon. Are you heading out first think Thursday morning?

I went river rafting for the first time yesterday and had a blast. We did a 1/2 day trip on the American River. It was me and 3 girlfriends - we can't wait to go again. The only downside was falling off and ending up under the boat. A definite moment of sheer panic but it all worked out - having a very cute guide pull me back in the boat helped the situation too.

If anyone is looking for a fun summer activity I would totally recommend it. We were able to 50% off coupons from Travel Zoo.

Hello Time is going by so fast had a busy weekend shopping for my daughters dorm room. We will be in San Francisco next week and i will be back at work the week after. This summer is flying by.

We did make it to Disneyland last Thurs. I was worried about crowds reading the threads of those there that week. We were on the road a little later than planned. We had to stop and pick up some breakfast and snacks. We didn't make it to the parking lot until 8:30 but we were able to get right on tram. Crowd wasn't too big and my daughter went straight to stour tours to get FP while I waited at pirates. We did everything we wanted over there with no big wait times but they were putting out ropes for the lines at pirates for later in the day. We were able to ride both little mermaid and stour tours. The crowds were managable but we did go to house of blues for lunch and walked around DownTownDisney. We had a good evening in the parks that evening left around 10:30 and the wait for the trams were crazy long (at least I didn't run into that many people and long lines in the park)

Overall it was a really good day a little warm but not as hot as it has been at home.

DBF and I went to DL on Saturday. It was pretty crowded but we still got a lot done. I finally got to ride Little Mermaid and Star Tours and I loved them both!

We did both of these on Thurs. loved star tours. little mermaid I think I was expecting more. (and the first ariel looked a little odd to me) I did like the effect of going under water and I liked being with all the fish singing.

The prices have gone up like crazy this year. Last summer it was about 69 each way to san francisco from san diego. This June it was about 259 round trip.

I would love to go on the water slide through the shark tank. I have only been to vegas a couple times and haven't been to a lot. Last time there was for a soccer tournament a couple winters ago-it was so cold. My cousin goes a lot and I have a list of activities I want to do there.

Hi everyone. Just checking in. Our house is going on the market today. The realtor is coming over to take the pictures and install the lock box. I have been watching airfare for the trip in feb and it has gone up around 40 this past week. Bummer. Hopefully it will go back down as we get closer to the trip, but who knows.

Our return time was between 3:40 and 4:40. We went when the parade was about to start and we maybe waited 10 minutes and the standby line was only 60 minutes. But the fast passes went fast when we were able to get another fast pass stour tours were out.
