Girls Trip~OLD THREAD (see first post for link to new one)

I spent yesterday afternoon holding the hand of my friend. I talked about old times, sharing MY memories with her and her family. I know Mary could hear us as a couple of times her eyes fluttered but her lids did not open. When I left the room I let her know I would be along sometime but not to wait for me. I reminded her we still had lots of garage sales to go to .

I'm so sorry Patty, I know this must be a very tough time. I'm glad you got to see Mary yesterday & spend that time with her. I'm sure she was listening & also knew how much she was loved. Prayers for her family as well as yours!

Then walking back to car or going grocery shopping you notice other people that are happy and smiling. I used to wonder how others could be so happy when I was so sad . I soon understood that life goes on with or with out me -- and my choice is with me.

Laurie, I hope you got all your dining reservations made. Most of all I have toes, fingers, ankles, knees, arms, and legs crossed that the CHECK GETS TO YOU SOON.

To all you going to DL soon, I sure hope one of you do a live report. I vacation via those reports. Not as much fun as going in person but it sure saves me lots of Disney Dollars.

Thanx Patty!!! I heard from a friend here in town that was told 16-26 wks.....if it goes to 26 wks that would be 2 wks after the vacation......that would be a huge bummer, as the trip wouldn't happen.

The Dr. put Derek on antibiotics for the ruptured eardrum, but he's still fighting a horrendous headache! Hopefully that will go away quickly for him.

Thanx for thinking of us when you obviously had more important things to deal with.

He has assured me that Jessica (Carousel's group sales contact) will write up another contract and email it to me tomorrow. Patty, so sorry for your loss. So glad you were there for her. I recently lost my DH so death of loved ones is emotional for me.

On a side note, I think you and I (and a few unnamed others ) are the only ones who remember what Pee-Chees are. Remember when they were only in goldenrod and then they came out with colors? Boy, were we stoked!

Patty: I have actually heard that quite a bit--a lot of times people keep themselves alive so as to not upset their loved ones. Once the loved ones tell them they understand and it's ok to go they can leave in peace. A lot of people will die right after major events too--a wedding, birth, or a holiday--because they are holding on for that big event--then they can go in peace.
