My first reaction to your question Sarah was --oh no, it is too small. But then I pulled out my messenger bag from the alarming depths of my closet and stuffed my hooded Mickey sweatshirt into the main compartment. Yep--it fit..made the bag a bit chubby, but it wasn't a totally tight squeeze. So, I then added my smallish digital camera and my wallet and hung a water bottle on the outside, and it all fit. I could have added more. (not a lot more, but someother small esssentials) I was surprized!!! I've always just zipped my jacket to the strap and carried it on the outside!!!

Oh, and my sweatshirt is pretty big---unisex large so pretty bulky.

So, maybe I should rethink it...nope...still don't like it!!

Thanks for the info...I am going to measure my back pack and compare it to the size of the messenger baggallini. I would only have a light sweater, my camera, cell phone, water bottle, chapstick, wallet, snacks, I think that;s about it.

On the Mom update she went home from the hospital yesterday, but has to go back every day for two weeks for some injectable antibiotic. Luckily we have a caregiver who stays with her (there is no way I could take off two or three hours a day to take her . . . .I know, bad daughter). so it is really scary that she went to get a shot in her knee and ended up with this nasty infection!

The reason I'm asking is that right now my flight comes in at 7:40am on Friday, with Callie and her friend Ellen. But, I'm thinking about changing it to Thursday morning instead, same flight time. I've PM'd with Ruth, who I'm rooming with, and she thinks she'll be there around noon on Thursday. Sooo, what I'm wondering is if I can get into the hotel that early. Ruth said she would check into pre-paying for Thursday & Friday, then I'm paying for Saturday & Sunday. Does anyone have any advice/ideas? I could even take a nap when I get there, if I could sleep at all!!

Ok, I'm just going to stick with what I have, at least for the moment! My husband can drop me off on Friday morning before he goes to work and if I leave too early on Thursday, the kids might not get up for school if there is no "adult supervision!" The don't have school on Friday so that makes it easier. Problem solved!! (I think )

The surprise party was a big success. My DD14 wanted to go to Disneyland for her birthday, so we are headed there after school (and a full day at work for me) tomorrow. I plan on a quick visit to the tour center to work on our VIP tour requests in person.

The one on top is actually called Sonic Boom and the one on the bottom is called Alien Green. I grabbed about 15 of each. I could put our names on them (Dis name and real name, like the lanyard) and we can figure out someway to put them on our hotel room doors.

LOL--I am totally "lost" when it comes to Lost--I watched a couple of episodes the first season and then lost track of the whole thing--maybe you can explain what is going on in April--it sounds like it is so much fun! And other than American Idol and Big Brother and Dancing with the Stars I don't really watch much t.v. other than CNN or the news! It would be nice to have something to watch on a regular basis!

Hope things pick up for you real soon at work--I hate twiddling my thumbs! What do you do?

I'm guessing 30 mins to leave the plane, walk over to luggage, get luggage and then to vehicle or vehicle waiting area. That makes it 11:30.
In a perfect world we will get to HoJo without traffic and get there in an hour or 12:30. (30 mins to do all that stuff at the airport is really cutting it close too. Big plane, lots of people and luggage)

I've heard of LAX and the traffic in the "area" and I'm not counting on clear sailing. Nor was I still expecting the limo...so I padded for extra traffic and having to wait for the shuttle. (We do have to wait for your scooter and be one of the last people off the plane. These are little extras that I sort of counted for in my 2pm guess)

If we make it by 1pm that would be great but I won't hold my breath.

Hi Cheryl! I'm filling in for an evening word processor at the lawfirm I used to work at. I get work very sporadically this way, but it helps keep my Disney fund in the +++.

Explaining Lost would be hard . . . ya kind of just have to watch it. My dh and I didn't start watching until Season 3. We then rented seasons 1 and 2 from Netflix and watched 1 or 2 episodes every night before bed. I tell ya, that is the way to watch Lost! None of this waiting 6 days for your next fix. I've been tempted to not watch each week and just wait till the entire season comes out on DVD, but I always give in and watch, then I read the blogs and theorize until midnight with my hubby. It's crazy!

Wow on the person who won the DVC membership! I've never sent in postcards. I figure I just don't need more dream ears, and that's the most common prize. That's so awesome that someone here on the Dis actually won it!

I haven't watched any Idol this season. I usually wait until they are down to the final 6 or so before I get interested. When does the new Dancing with the Stars start?

Are you an attorney or paralegal? What kind of law did you practice? (oooh, such interesting stuff for the rest of the ladies here)

I have worked in every area of this firm and have worked on/off here for 17 years. I was a litigation paralegal most recently before they asked me to cover WP. It's nice that they still pay me my paralegal hourly wage for just sittin here in WP.

I am (unfortunately on some days) an attorney--real estate. I do, however, have a pretty good gig--I do leases for shopping centers! Mostly for landlords but I also represent a few restaurant chains. Great job for a female attorney!

I was a partner in a big firm and left 2+ years ago because I couldn't stand the politics etc. Most of my clients came with me . . . .and I picked up a few more--so I'm a pretty busy girl most of the time. It's just me and a paralegal--we did have another part-time attorney but that didn't work out (I just want to keep things as simple as possible!)

But there are some big-firm perks that I miss--and nightime/weekend WP would be one of them! So, since my paralegal didn't work today now I have to run and make a Fed Ex run so catch you later!
