OMG, too much Muppets!! :lmao:

And ummmm, no, I've never watched Sesame Street. I was going to say that earlier but thought I might be stoned! :rotfl2:

My kids never were interested in those either. We watched a few episodes of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, but that was boring. I think the one show my kids were really into was Barney. :headache:

So lots of Barney, Blues Clues, Wiggles, etc. but no Sesame Street or Muppets. :rolleyes1

oh my oh my well I was going to give you all the muppet character but felt it might overwhelm you. And I remember the news when Mister Cooper died so sad.

I will always remember when Jim Henson died suddenly and there was kermit in the newpaper with a memory band on his arm with a tear running down his cheek.

Wow even I watch Sesame Street and I was way to old when it came out.

Oh you poor thing having to live through the purple Barney craze. I am sure you can not stand I Love you you love me song that must have played over and over and over again. :lmao:

I wonder if there's a Muppets for Dummies book? :scratchin

That sounds very sad about the Kermit with the memory band. :guilty:

And yes, the Barney craze was nuts. I cannot tell you how many times I had to sing that song to my twins to make them happy. :headache:

Thanks to Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and extensive hours of Sesame Street, I was able to learn how to speak English as a child. :rotfl: :happytv:

I love Kermit. I didn't like Miss Piggy that much. I think Beaker and Bunson Honeydew are awesome. :cool1:

No have not found one yet though looking I never really watched as a muppet fan but here are a few guest stars that you missed

The Muppet Show quickly became the hip place for a celeb to have a widely-seen cameo, and the diverse list of guest stars included Elton John, Peter Sellers, Rudolf Nureyev, Zero Mostel, Steve Martin and Alice Cooper.

taken from wikipedia

for anyone interest in the what celebrities were on the muppets and you would be surprised here is the link.

Now that the Disneyland entertainment schedule is online - it is time to plan our VIP tour and arranged seating.

How does this look?

Preferred seating for Fireworks at 9:25 pm on Friday night
Preferred seating for Fantasmic at 10:30 pm on Friday night

Preferred seating for the Electrical Parade on Saturday night

This will work for anyone not purchasing park hopper tickets.

What does everyone think?

Do you want to do parade seating on Friday too?

Let me know. I also see that a few people are unsure about attending the weekend so I think that we will be fine with 2 tour guides and 20 VIP tour participants.

It all looks good to me. I don't think we're doing the Segway tour since no one has PM'd me about wanting to go. Oh well, that leaves something for another time.

Does anyone know where the preferred seating is?

I think that looks like a great plan! I would also vote for parade seating too--maybe early on Saturday so there isn't so much on Friday?

What about the Alladin show in CA?

Where you mostly thinking of using the tour for the preferred seating or what other activities were you thinking of? I know that a couple of us were wondering while you were gone (hope you had a great time!)

Oh yes, definitely Aladdin. The parade would be fun, but not necessary for me.

It looks great to me Lesley!:thumbsup2

My friend Cathy and I are game for parade seating if that's what everyone wants to do, but if not then that's okay too. I've never sat during a parade or fireworks, so just getting off my feet is a treat for me.:goodvibes

I'm excited about the Electrical Parade. I've never seen it! (I'm not sure if Cathy has seen it or not.)

Looks great. I was mostly interested in preferred seating for the fireworks and Fantasmic since those are always packed. Anything additional is just gravy ;) . So if the group would also like to see the Parade of Dreams, I'll go along :thumbsup2 .

I'm good with the Fireworks, Fantasmic and Electrical Parade. An afternoon parade would just be a bonus. I'd like to see it since it seems better than WDW's but I can sneak it in on my own if needed.

LESLEY: I thought we were over 20 and closer to 30 for the VIP tour by now??? You might want to repost the list of people to make sure we have everyone who PM'd you. I know I can think of at least 4 new people from the last time you posted the list. Wouldn't want anyone to think they were doing the tour and they aren't expected.

Looks good to me too. I'm also up for the parade. I've only seen it from the way far back with 3 kids that didn't want to see the parade to begin with...

Yes, and we might have lost a few of the girls too that may be on the VIP tour list, like Daisy_77 (January), Zoemakes5 (Michelle), and I think even MommaU4 (Beth) is still iffy. It makes me so sad.:sad1:

I'm keeping my hopes up that they'll be able to come on the trip though.:thumbsup2

Why do so many people from California move to Idaho?? I know it's cheaper, but are there other reasons??....I heard people from Idaho don't like all the Californians moving there :confused3 .

We have a lot of Californians here in Spokane too. I think Spokane is a great place to live, but I'm not quite sure what the draw is for Californians to move here.

Well, I'm a native CA girl who moved to WA. Though it was when I was 17, so I'm not sure I "count". No one likes it when CA natives move there. Of course, most of the time, CA natives are moving b/c it's so much more crowded than when they were kids, b/c of the rest of the universe moving to CA!

As for Spokane, it's mega-cheaper than even living on the western side of the same state. Friend of ours who is a native Washingtonian moved there and bought *property* with two houses on it, instead of just renting his one-bedroom apartment in north Seattle. I'd move to Yakima, b/c the houses in the main part of the city are the same era as those in the nice parts of Tacoma, but MUCH cheaper. However, I'm allergic to Yakima (when you take a desert and put lawns everywhere, it makes my system nuts...same with Palm Springs, so it doesn't surprise me when I see the signs calling Yakima the Palm Springs of WA, LOL) and it's just too hot and I need "my" Mt Rainier, so that won't happen.

Muppets was over way before you were having kids. It was something we would have watched on TV as children! So why were your parents depriving you of it? :lmao:

I noticed tours can only be reserved one month out. Since DH and I (and our savings and checking accounts) are still in discussion of whether I can possibly go, you can't count me out! If I go, I'm goin' on the VIP tour. :upsidedow

I just recently saw the electrical parade so I think I'd rather try Screamin' again in place of that... Fireworks seating might be interesting. However, the seating for Fantasmic, now that I would be interested in! Would that be for the VIP tour, or are you talking about the dessert seating at extra cost for that?

sounds good to me I am definately a parade gal can watch them over and over again. I will also want to see Aladdin in fact not sure there is anything I do not want to see except some of the to much thrill rides that leave my tummy on the ground :)

I love the preferred seating for Fantasmic (somehow have NEVER seen it) and the fireworks. I won't be there for Saturday night so won't vote for that!!!!!

I will go see Muppets/Aladin/BUgs anything as long as I get to go on ToT a few times!!!

Bummer for all the women who might not be able to go. How disappointing! Maybe you will still be able to swing it. Maybe this can become an annual thing and you can start saving loose change now. (rolled my jars last night and have saved $94 since mid September).

I love the Muppets!!! My favorite was Miss Piggy and Baryshinikov doing a ballet!!!! I watched Sesame street when I was home sick, even though it was too young fo rme when it first came out! However, didn't have my daughter watch it....I can't STAND Elmo's voice.:scared1:

It's getting closer!!!:)

Ooohhhhhhh! Just thought of something.

Lesley, is it possible to schedule trips on the Lily Belle as part of the VIP Tour??????

Belle: I will wait with you while grumpvet goes on ToT a few times . . . .

Ladies: I had actually pysched myself up to go on Indiana Jones yesterday--(I hate snakes . . . and also wasn't sure if it would be good for my back) but I had heard such great things about the ride. . . .

So, first I got there when they opened at 9 a.m. and the ride was down . . . back at 10 a.m. . . . . still down . . .back at 11 a.m. and it was up! Yay! But had a PS at 11:30 and wasn't sure I would get back in time--so got a fastpass for 12:15-1:15 and went off to lunch . .. . back a 12:10 (fast lunch) so I got in the regular line since it was only 25 minutes estimate. (Thought if I really liked it I would try the Fastpass then)--half way through the line it breaks again---GRRRRRR. I was going home so didn't try again.

Oh well--going with some friends in a couple of weeks so maybe then . . if I still have my nerve . . . . if not . . . then maybe you all can talk me into it . . .
