We went to DL yesterday, too, to get our holiday fix:goodvibes

It was totally awesome, we had a wonderful time. Saw Billy & The Hillbillies do their Christmas show. We laughed so hard we cried. It was really good. Rode a few rides, notably IASW which had about a 30 minute wait. Saw the parade and all the lights on the castle. Visited the reindeer at Santa's Roundup. The three of us (me, DH & DD) shared one turkey leg, one corn dog w/apple slices and one Diet Coke for dinner. It was quite tasty, thank you.:) It was crowded, but not too bad for a week end and definitely not bad for Christmas time. Once the sun went down it got downright cold. We left around 7 pm and were freezing. We are wimpy So Cal people, what can I say?

Going again in February and then looking forward to the trip in April with all of my new friends here on this thread!

Good morning all! Geez I am so jealous you guys get to go to DL so much! My DH was almost transferred to So. Cal but he didn't want to leave Washington. I just about cried! He was also offered Fl but turned that one down too. :scared1: What is he thinking???! Oh yeah I know, hurricanes!

So, I have barely even shopped! I am usually done by the end of Nov. We will have to go and get the rest on Saturday and I am soooo not looking forward to that! At least we don't have to do the mall.

Take care everyone!

Hi everyone.

Sounds like there was quite a few people at the parks this last weekend but still very festive and fun despite the crowds. I've never seen the "Billy & the Hillbillies" show before, but they sure do get great reviews of being very funny. I'm just gonna have to make the time to see them!:thumbsup2

I've been BUSY getting ourselves ready for Christmas, as well as decorating my parents house for Christmas. (My parents have some health problems so they just can't do a lot of those things on their own.)

Today I've got to go out and finish some last minute shopping for my MIL and BIL. UUUHG! They are the hardest to shop for.:headache:

Hope everyone is well and getting excited for the holidays.:santa:

Hi everybody!
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the holiday season thus far. Its exciting to hear about everyone's holiday Disney trips!:thumbsup2
I've been busy too. Lots to do at work and of course with family and friends. I can proudly say that all my Christmas shopping is done, with the exception of one bottle of wine I need to get for a friend. Now as far as the presents being wrapped....well thats another story!:rotfl:
Talk to you ladies later! 1 more week till Christmas!!! :santa:

Hi all. Looks like the busyness of the season has taken over, and here at the DangerMouse house all is Christmas mayhem. I need to send off 4 boxes of oranges and gifts to relatives tomorrow (really should have sent them last week). I'm nowhere near ready for this holiday!

One big thing that slowed me down was too much time spent on the DCL board over the last week. But the good news is . . .

WE BOOKED A DISNEY CRUISE!!! :cheer2:

We're going for my 40th birthday in April 2009. I'm so excited because dh even said that we should squeeze in some time at WDW as long as we're in FL. :lmao: The poor man has no idea how much that statement is going to cost him.:rotfl2:

Ok, back to our Dis Girls' trip. Dh is still planning on working on a design for our shirts, but it might not be until after the holidays. I just have him hopping through too many other hoops right now.

Hope everyone is enjoying their preparations for the big day! We're at less than one week now! :scared1:

Too cool! My DH and I were talking about a Disney Cruise last night. We both really want to go but it is just too expensive for all of us. So... we decided we will go when all the kids are out of the house!! :rotfl: Only 16 years to go... Maybe I should make up a countdown for that!

Hi ladies! I'm back! I had a great time at DL and in SoCal visiting family. But I'm super tired and have lots to do.

I hope everyone is doing ok and ready for Christmas! I cannot believe it's almost here!!

Talk to you all soon!

Just checking in to say Hi. DBF and I are leaving for San Diego tomorrow so I probably won't be back on until after Christmas so I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas!

Hope you're off having a nice time! :)

Wow, it's been super quiet here lately. You can tell it's the last week-end before Christmas. LOL Everyone's probably out there baking, shopping, decorating, wrapping, etc.

I'm going to be doing the same this week-end. And then we'll be heading off to CA again on Monday. I hope everyone is doing ok and staying sane. ;)

We just got back this afternoon. We were prepared for horrendous crowds and they really weren't that bad until the late afternoon early evening. We all had a great time and I finally got to go on things that I had never ridden before. Hope you all have happy holidays

Awhile back I had tenatively said I was going but plans have changed and I will not be going. I am sure you figured that out weeks ago since I have not posted here in a month. Have a great trip!

Hi Steph! Welcome back. Glad the crowds weren't as bad as you thought. The Monday we were there it wasn't bad either, but the week-end was.

Things have been quiet here. I think everyone is getting ready for Christmas. :santa:

Hi there. Sorry to hear you won't be joining us. But judging by the tickers in your sig, it looks like you've got some great trips to look forward to!! :thumbsup2

Just popping in to say hello! I haven't been on here in a couple days so I wanted to see how everyone is doing. My goal is to post more often once Christmas is over! Its just been crazy with work and family and etc. (Just like everybody else I'm sure.)
Merry Christmas to you all! I hope everyone has a wonderful and magical holiday. :goodvibes :santa: pixiedust:

Hola!

I still can't 100% commit, but I'm feeling more and more like I need to join you guys. :)

I figured out during our trip earlier this month that I need ME time in the park, vs 3 year old time, so that I can do what I want. I got a few hours of that during our trip, when it started pouring down rain and DH and DS went back to the hotel and I stayed all fashionable in my poncho and sockless-Crocs, and it was SO wonderful to be there as an adult.

Of course, part of that adult time was spent going on Grizzly River Rapids, twice in a row, in a raft with 5 preteen boys!!! They put me in that raft and they were SO hilarious, so when they told the CM they wanted to go again and didn't object to my joining them again, I just stayed in the boat.

But at least I didn't have to carry them around when they got tired, or buy them (or not buy them) things...

So anyway, for the first time in 3.5 years of motherhood, I feel the need to be away from the boy-o (even if it means DH and DS are traveling with me, but just not WITH me at the parks) and go on some rides as an all-growed-up.

And it would seem that this group would do that for me! :rotfl:

So now I gotta go back and read all the updates I haven't read since our trip and the chaos after our trip.

Hi Ashley. I agree, I think once the holidays are over and the New Year starts then everything will calm down for alot of us so we can hang out and chat more. :thumbsup2

Hey! Glad to hear your trip went well. And I am also glad to hear you realized you deserve and need some "me" time!! I think this trip would be the perfect chance for that. ;)

Well ladies, I'm going to wish you all a very Merry Christmas now. We are heading out to CA tomorrow to spend the holiday with my in-laws. :scared1: :rotfl:

Hopefully it won't be too bad. LOL We'll be back the day after Christmas so it's just a quickie trip.

Anyways, I'll talk to you then and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas everyone. So far it's been a very interesting holiday. Don't have much time, but I will update everyone soon.
Sorry I haven't been on much lately, I've been working 15-18 hour days at work due to some big filings as we get ready for a BIG trial. It will slow down just in time for the holidays to be all over. I'm such NOT a Christmas eve/weekend shopper, but that's 90% of my shopping this year!

Christmas day is here!! I hope everyone had a good morning. This has been a busy month for me as I have had company much of it.
Of course, company means excuses to go to DL!! I was there Dec 10 and 11 with a good friend and her hubby visting from OK, and spent the day December 20th with my parents(visiting from OH) and DD7. I pushed my 205 lb. dad all over DL and CA!!! I never noticed all the gradual slopes and inclines before ! Holy smoke..I was beat by the time we went home!! My mom wore her pedometer...and she walked 6.2 miles!!! Amazingly, I was not at all sore the next day. Miracle!!
My dad is severely crippled from arthritis, both Rheumatoid and osteo---but was a serious trooper. At 77...the man went on Space Mountain and ToT!!!!
Anyway...things will get back to normal soon...and hopefully I will get back on the band wagon and get my butt back to the YMCA and into a swimsuit and the pool!!!

Oh, and can't wait for the trip!! It will fun do the adult things!! In early December my hubby and friends did the Segway....maybe it is my turn!!!

Cheers!!:santa: :santa: :santa: AMy

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good Christmas. Don't know if I posted this be fore or not but DBF's sister and her son (age 5 or 6 I think) are coming to visit in February from Albuquerque, NM and of corse she wants to go to Disneyland (she's never been). Yay! Another trip!
